Proven People in Sunderland

Me and my partner tried today the Bun Kim and Bun Brisket (I believe this one was called like this!) burgers and it was absolutely delicious! Honestly we knew them from very tasty pizzas but the burgers are a different class! 😍

Proven people has a great decor, I only had time for a cold 🍺 beer but I received a great weekend welcome & I shall return for many more,all the BEST proven people

The perfect place for pizza! Vegan pizza is a variable thing, ranging from utterly disappointing to heart soaringly delicious. The team at Proven Pizza are at the top of the scale! They really care about their food and their customers. I had to double check with the chef that they’d definitely served me a vegan dish, as the cheese was disarmingly good. I had the Fiorentina with vg blue cheese, and there was another vegan choice on the menu, although I’m sure they’d swap things around as everything is freshly cooked to order. This was a joy, pizza as it should be, made with love. What a great find, I’ve not been to Sunderland in years but I’d go back just to come here again. There’s a great gallery across the street so I hope this will attract more visitors in. Also they’re planning to have live DJs on a Friday night which will be fun, as there’s a good vibe there anyway. An absolute find. GO if you’re anywhere near Sunderland, you won’t be disappointed 🌱🙏💚

I have been here when they only sold pizzas and it was superb, now they do burgers, ribs etc and I can honestly say the burger was the best I’ve tasted

Been wanting to try this place for a few weeks and I wasn’t disappointed when I finally got there last night. So many options to choose from! I ended up getting the Tuna pizza as a change and it was so delicious. Loads of tasty sounding sides and dips in too. Plus, we found out when we got there, the pizzas and burgers were 2-4-1 which was a big bonus! Looking forward to heading back to try the burgers!

Great food, I had the pizza, daughter had a burger. 2nd time we’ve been. Will be back soon. Staff were friendly and service was great.

We visited Proven during January and took advantage if the buy one pizza get one free offer. We ordered a crab and chilli pizza which was amazing and a spicy nduja pizza which was also really good. Our kids had pizza and chips which only cost £1 each which was absolutely amazing value. The restaurant has a lush atmosphere and the staff were excellent. We will definitely be back

Lovely pizza and king prawns. The watermelon salad is lovely too. Well worth a visit but best to book. Very busy even mid- week

Food and drinks were incredible! Staff were super friendly and went above and beyond for our group! We will definitely be coming again! The reason it lost a star was because we were told we couldn’t sit inside due to all tables being reserved, however for the duration of our visit they all remained empty.
