Called in for fish and chips on Sunday. Asked for 2 fish and chip special £14. When food came was charged £18 and told it was because fish was large. Why false advertise special offers.

Good value for money. Called again. Took advantage of the buy one get one free pizza offer. Absolutely delicious pizzas. My friend said one of the best takeaway pizzas she'd ever had. Up in Sunderland again. Had the burger and chips. Delicious chips. Two burgers in the bun. Also got a can of coke. Only £5 in total. Very good value !

This is not halal takeaway and they fry the pork sausages in the same area were they fry the chips. We had fish an chips and garlic sauce, it was awesome and fresh but unfortunately we can't buy food from them anymore because it is not halal takeaway.

My husband ordered to large cod and one bag of chips ,we have had there fish & chips many times but this time it was very thin and over cooked and if ours was the large I would not like to see the small as not large at all.A very disappointed customer

Been going here for years always 5* called in tonight for cheeky chippy tea 2 large cod and chips.... What's going on its got dirty orders all over the place smell of burnt oil all around... As soon as I mentioned some random bloke rushed forward slung my £20 tea in a bag got home rubbish... that's somewhere else to avoid in Grangetown..... 👎👎

This place is a must, fresh fish, rhe kebab are huge portion and Chilli and garlic sauce is so tasty.

It's a tidy and clean chippy. The two staff were bright and cheerful. The Chips I got were excellent. As soon as I walked thru the door the lady enquired as whether o wanted fish and what sort in case she needed to pop one in the fryer. You can't ask for much more than that.

I was recommended this place by a friend. Tried it for the first time tonight and it was lovely. Good portion sizes and well cooked chips. Fish bites are big and lovely white fish. No pics as it was devoured too quickly.

Hands down the best value and quality fast food from a chip shop I have ever had, I have recommended it to many people and they have stated the same. The guy that owns it is a really nice guy.

Super pleased to find this gem in heart of Grangetown-it’s hand down the best chippy in Sunderland! The staff are super friendly and the fish&chips is freshly made on the spot.The homemade curry sauce is sublime. They’re also following social distances so they can remain open in such a pandemic conditions.I really appreciate the food and friendly nature of staff as well owner. I’ll be back again next weekend and can’t wait.

Good fish ,nice brown chips,not your usual anaemic mushy chips most places do. Kebabs are Massive! and tasty,reasonable too. They give free chips or cans of pop as well! The fish are cooked to order but that can mean that they don't drain properly and the bottom can be a bit greasy.,but overall,very good.

We regularly go on a Sunday as they have an offer on. Two large fish and chips for £8. Great taste and great food. I only mark down as you often have to wait a while for the food but on the bright side at least you know it fresh.

Always good value - fish with more chips than necessary . Rather popular - often have to wait a very short period which means that fish n chips are piping hot, which is the best they can be!

I’m a regular and the food is normally really nice from here, but today I’m absolutely furious my friend ordered chips and garlic which took forever To prepare ...to top it all off when she got home she realised that all of the chips were undercooked, could barely bite into them and they were also freezing, overall it was a disgrace and won’t be returning again
