You get a personal service which is flexible and meets your needs. Everyone is friendly and remembers your name , well behaved dogs are welcome and spoilt. The food is lovely, take out or sit in. Everything has been done to make you feel safe and well fed in these difficult times. I think it is suitable for all types of customer, I do not feel awkward when I am by myself or have my dog.

Visited this coffee shop for Sunday Lunch and was not disappointed. The welcome was friendly and service very good. Lunch was delicious but sadly was too full afterwards to take advantage of the delicious display of desserts. Will definitely be going back for my dessert once lockdown is over. Can highly recommend this to anyone.

We've been here lots of times because we know the food is of a very high standard. We always get a warm welcome and great service .As soon as we walked in we could tell by the decor, the atmophere and the fantastic smells that we were in for a delight but it far exceeded our expectations the food was fantastic and the garlic mushrooms!! I like them so much that I have them for starter and afters.. love them ! So do yourself a favour get down there and sample their takeaway lunches you wont be disappointed.

I've eaten here a few times now, had breakfast, Sunday lunch and a few takeaways, and it's been amazing every time. Staff are lovely, you feel welcome, the place itself is really cozy and nice to be in and the food is just beautiful. Special mention has to go to the hot beef sandwiches, I've eaten about a million of them in the last couple of weeks and my word they are just absolutely perfect. Seriously, just perfect every time.

I have eaten here several times. The atmosphere and service is very friendly and welcoming. Their coffee is best I have tasted. While lockdown is in place I have had several takeaways. I can recommend the Sunday lunches which have lovely fresh veg and tasty very tender meats. I can also recommend the beef baps and butter chicken curry. I love the chips here too. I have also tried their home made cakes which are also very good, they have a good selection. I often get a meal delivered to my Mum who is being shielded so I can’t visit. She really looks forward to her food deliveries. Especially the mince and dumpling and the home made pies. I know they do a good cream tea, which I was going to book for our mums birthday. But I might just have to get it delivered instead.

I had an afternoon tea from here and the steak pies were out of this world ! Would come for them alone the scones were beautiful and so was the carrot and walnut cake. I also won a beef bap and chips with garlic mushrooms and I could honestly not fault a single thing can’t wait to come again and try more

Visited Laywawa's in Grangetown, Sunderland and had a delicious breakfast with fresh coffee. Clean, friendly and welcoming. They even have a license to serve wine or beers and have a lovely function room upstairs for private parties. Their afternoon tea's, yorkshire puds and selection of pies are amazing. Loved it and will be back.

Had my dinner here today and thought I should probably write a google review at some point given how often I've visited over the years. The pressed lamb burger with sweet potato and red cabbage salad was just what I needed. This place is a hidden gem and more people in Sunderland and beyond should know about it. On a high street full of fast food and junk food outlets it stands alone as a fresh, healthy and good quality choice. Zoe is a friendly face and takes the time to get to know her regulars which I think is an added touch. Ask for an 'Anything Sandwich'...

I was working in the area today so popped in on the recommendation of a local colleague. I chose a choc orange brownie, a Malteser slice and a plum and almond tart. All had generous amounts of filling/topping and were a good size for the price. My family enjoyed them all and I will definitely be returning!
