Wow !!!! Asked Abdul to tell us what to have. He recommend Bengal lamb pathia. It was Unreal but I only got a little but as drunken hubby ate it all haha. So next night ordered again chicken tikka naga bhuna. Another WOW!!! TASTE again Unreal but very hot so u gotta like it hot. Flavour was incredible tho. Highly recommended this takeaway 👌

We are new to the area and have waited until 2 meals to share this. We are in our 60’s and had so many Indian meals in our life. NOTHING has came close to the amazing dishes we had from here. The chicken was so succulent and delicious in all the dishes. Starters were to die for. Abdul the owner so friendly and helpful. The place is immaculate with 2nd to none service. Without a doubt this will be a choice of Indian food every time we want it. Thank you Abdul :)) Dawn & David

Very disappointed.told our order would take 45 mins ,which is long .1 hour and a half later still not served, a guest has gone home 😞. No way of knowing which of the 20 people in here are before or after us. Never again. We'd paid in advance and would have left after an extra 10mins. Don't take orders you can't deliver!!!!!

Waited quite a while for my food as the place was really busy but you cant help that orderd onion bahjis and chicken tikka masala the onion bahjis were 10 out of ten but didn't come with a salad which was disappointing 😕 but the tikka made up for that it's so sweet and morish all in all a good idians the food is very impressive

we usually have takeaway here every other week normally good. I ordered our takeaway for 8pm and my husband went to pick it up. Everyone he spoke to had ordered after us but got served before us. which was annoying. We ordered lamb shaslik and mix grill meals.. the lamb was so tough couldnt eat it and my husband meal the chicken was fine but the lamb was very tough. We have ordered lamb before in a curry thats been beautiful but this chef has not tasted or tried to chew the lamb at all .. he would realise that this dish is not the tender succulent lamb dish as advertised. So was an expensive takeaway £ 30 just under for 2 people ..only could eat the salad... we are regulars but never normally have a bad dish very surprised so may have to try somewhere different. Sat 12th ..

Lovely food. We were here for a week on holiday and ate from here twice because the first time was so good. Lots of meat in the portions and the flavours are out of this world (you can tell they use quality ingredients) It was nice to try different dishes from the Bengal section as the dishes are different to what we get at home, and the taste was amazing. We especially liked the Bengal Jalfrazi and also the Mudo Puri was lovely. We just wish we lived nearer!

We ordered a large takeaway for 7 and the food was spot on. All hot, so clearly as closely prepared to collection as possible and on time. Would definitely recommend for a takeaway option.

Maybe I shouldn’t write this because I know Abdul personally (and no he hasn’t paid me to write this) I know he only uses the best ingredients and takes pride in what he does, but what most people don’t know is how clean the food...

I was going to post as I thought the manager was rude. But actually that’s not fair, so I’ve tasted the food first. I’ve got home, and the onion Bhaji is to dry to eat, even with the sauce. Nearly Inedible. The sauce was nice. Chapati was more of a hard pancake, inedible I would say. The tikka masala though was on the spicy side which actually I liked, this was part was nice. I would say I would eat the curry again.

We ordered a large takeaway (to feed 24 people). We had the Bengal Chicken Tikka Massala, the Lamb Jal Noor and a Chicken Korma with pilaw rice, Garlic Keema Nan, Peshwari Nan and plain Nans. We did order a large amount of each but was still surprised that it fed 20+ adults for 3 days in a row! The food was delicious, the Lamb Jal Noor has quite a kick to it but was probably my favourite dish of the three as it was unlike any curry I’ve had before. The garlic keema Nan was unreal. Thanks for cooking this large order for our party, we all thoroughly enjoyed the food, only wish Morpeth was closer to home so that we could order more regularly.

Appalling, waited an hour past time arranged for collection , chicken balti was actually Lamb Balti, will not be going back.

Had a takeaway from here a few weeks ago. The young man was very friendly and courteous. It was around 5.30-6 pm so it was busy with people picking up their orders. We hadn't ordered ahead so we did have a bit of a wait of about 30- 40 minutes but considering how busy it was we didn't think that was too bad. Certainly not an issue, we just went for a quick drink. There is not really any parking outside the premises so we parked elsewhere and walked over. Our order was ready when we got back. The food was absolutely delicious. I had a vegetable masala. It was rich creamy and had flavour popping with every mouthful. My partner got a chicken dish and found it just as delicious. I would definitely recommend you try this takeaway. I'm certainly going back for another meal!

Prawns having a crunchy texture and tasting of chemicals. Cold chicken and rock hard onion bhajis. After spending nearly £60 when our order elsewhere comes to around £40. I have lived in Morpeth and Morpeth area for over 20 years and thought I would trust peoples opinions. Absolutely any other takeaway in Morpeth is better and more affordable. Also waited for an hour even when food was preordered on a quiet Monday night. If zero was an option it would be given. Majority of food went in the bin and when called the takeaway back no options were offered or apology

We always make a point of ordering from here when we are in the area and frequently drive over 20 minutes to collect as the food really is that good. The only thing I would say is that the portions are massive, and could possibly be a little smaller with that being reflected in a price reduction.

Really , really disappointing & surprised they used to be top quality even if more expensive , obviously Abdul must not be there tonight! Dry old chips, chicken dry, shish kebab dry, I thought I would give my family a treat going to what was the best Indian takeaway in town, how times change, shame, big shame. Sorry Abdul but I won’t be back.

I live in Spain but regularly visit Morpeth to see family, whenever I am there I order a meal from this takeaway. They never fail to provide an excellent meal with the biggest portion sizes I have seen. Although my favourite dish is no longer on the menu they always make it for me, tandoori chicken biryani with the veg sauce Madras hot, the chicken is amazing. My son and I shared the main meal and got two starters, we were unable to eat it all. I am back in Morpeth in October and looking forward to a meal from there already.

After hearing a lot of good things about this place ,we had a takeaway yesterday and it was appalling.Most of the food went in the bin.

The food here is the best you can get in Morpeth. Although its more expensive than its competitors, it is well-worth paying the difference. The ingredients used are top notch and if you buy Indian food from here you won't be disappointed. It is no wonder this place has won awards.

Good presentation in the takeaway and with the food. Just disappointing that all the curries taste the same except with different dye's in. Dansak wasn't sweet, tasted like a 60p Lidl tinned curry. Nan breads were burnt. Tandoori Main mixed grill came as the starter. Chicken over cooked and dry. I'll be travelling back to my old dependable takeaway in Ashington.

We have bought take aways from Morpeth Tandoori for around 20 years. The food has been consistently great and good value for money hence we have returned many times. I am coeliac so have to eat gluten free and have never had a problem with food from Morpeth Tandoori. Highly recommend!

Got a takeaway while renting cottage in Rothbury. The methi lamb, chicken jalfrazi were average and the tikka masala was just plain awful. It looked like cheap lipstick & tasted like cheap sugar syrup. If you are desperate, by all means get a takeaway but do not touch the CTM. BTW it is not cheap.

This place came highley recommended by more than one friend, and after an afternoon in Morpeth last weekend, we decided to grab a takeaway on the way home. The order was ready bang on 40mins as we expected and the food did not disapoint.

We spent a week on holiday in the delightful town of Morpeth and on a couple of occasions we had a curry from the Morpeth Tandoori.First thing you notice is how smart the take away shop is with comfortable seating whilst you wait. The order was taken promptly and the food was ready in a very reasonable time. Talking to some local people while waiting they all said how good the curries from Morpeth Tandoori are.The second thing you notice when you get back home is the generous size of the portions served! Without exception all of the dishes were superb with delicious flavours and cooked to perfection. Probably the best curries we have ever had.I returned later in the week and had exactly the same experience. Abdul the owner is helpful and runs an excellent take away. A 5 star Food Hygiene Rating in the window completes the picture!Well done to Abdul and all his staff.The pity is that we live a six hour drive away, but we hope to be back in Morpeth another time and will certainly head for this superb take away!
