The best restaurants serving Indian food in Beacon and Bents South Tyneside North East

We booked dinner tonight to celebrate my sisters 50th birthday, this is our ‘go to’ place for Indian food, we love the restaurant and the staff, Shah and the team always make you feel welcome. The food was amazing as always, I always highly recommend Delhi 6 to friends and family due to the continual first class service and food. Now the reason I am posting a review this evening in particular is in fact due to the service, tonight was a busy night for the restaurant, we had ordered our food and drinks and were happily sitting chatting away, a little bit of time had passed when the waiter approached the table with our plates for our main meals, we explained we had not had our starters as yet, this was quickly sorted out and soon our starters arrived, again amazing food! A little bit later we had our mains, one meal was incorrect, however again this was sorted out in a moment, again amazing food! Now my review and comments here are not to be viewed as annoyed/angry/upset, instead my review is that of thanks, it is thanks to the team and Shah and his business partner, they in fact were more concerned over our experience, we reassured them that this was not at all any problem, we in fact had enjoyed a really nice evening celebrating my sisters birthday and enjoying good food, drink and family time, that is all that mattered tonight. I feel at times folk fly off the handle about slow service/mistakes in service etc but i honestly cannot fault any part of this evening. Shah, thank you and thank you to your team, this was the perfect night for my family, please do not feel there was any failing on the part of our service and experience, if anything we were more concerned that you guys were okay, you were run off your feet! For anyone looking for a proper good and tasty Indian food experience, this is the place!

Based on previous reviews, we had to give this place a go and so pleased we did. All 3 of us went for the starter + main meal deal. Highlight for me was the café tuk tuk starter (available as a main) and made slightly less hot to suit my taste - probably one of the nicest things I've eaten. Main I went for chicken dhansak, as I always choose this to compare with other restaurants/takeaways. This was very nice, plenty of chunky chicken and pineapple accompanied with mushroom pilau. My mates all enjoy their dishes too (everyone's different). P.S. Nice cold Cobra aswell. Definitely be back, as food was awesome and very reasonably priced. Very friendly staff too. Top marks from us all.

Poor order and no for reason , I was spending a lot of money

We visited Delhi 6 on New Year's Eve for a set menu meal. We have visited previously and we were both impressed by the food and service. New Year's Eve didn't disappoint either and in fact myself and partner thought the beautiful food we were served was the best Indian meal so far, we have visited a few restaurants but this place is on another level for food served to a very high standard along with the service from the owner and staff.

Have been going here for years. The food is first class. I always order the special and have enough food to feed me for two meals. The offer is very good value for money currently only twelve pounds fifty. I have no hesitation in recommending The Curry Centre to everyone.

The last time I was here it was the Royal and previously the Zolsa about 30 years ago We had a great meal I had King Prawn Vindaloo and Fish Barji to start. I couldn’t fault it.. 10/10

This review is for food i ordered and had delivered. Onion baji starter was hard, dry, tasteless - my order was early so suspect it was from the previous day and reheated! The curry itself was spot on but what always spoils it with the Dilshad is there attention to detail when putting th order together! last night - no Poppadoms and no mint sauce! I phoned them to complain and yes they sent the missing parts of the order but received 1 hour after delivery so by this time i had finished eating... this tyope of thing is very annoying and spoils the experience! the past 3 orders have been wrong or something missing.... Chicken tikka Jalfrezi..... i didn't order tikka! .... Bhuna Chicken on Puri... bread missing....... pickle tray ordered..... didn't come.....so to summarise... decent food when it is the right order and you get what you ordered but unfortunately they cannot seem to get the last easy part of getting the order right! a simple check by someone before it leaves the place would fix this...... come on Dilshad,,,, up your game and always think of the customer.... get it right 1st time!

We had a table booked for 7:30 for a big family meal (there was 14 of us) some of the us arrived 10 minutes early. We knew that we couldn't order until the rest of the family arrived, so they ordered drinks(I was given the wrong drink and even after complaining to the staff they did nothing) and poppadoms. Once everyone was in and settled, we placed our orders in. We didn't get the starters until 8:55, unfortunately I wasn't having a stater so I had to wait longer for my meal, it was until a family member pulled one of the staff to see if the can bring mine forward which it did, when everyone else got their meal I was done with mine, when the staff was pulled they said it was our fault for not ordering when they asked which is a lie. We have 3 separate bills and all three were expensive, it was more expensive than where we normally go.

First time here and it won't be the last, it was delicious,best onion bahjis I've ever tasted, service was excellent,staff very polite and friendly.

Best place to eat on Ocean Road- staff are so friendly and welcoming and recognise all their loyal customers. Food is outstanding , delicious. Never had a bad meal. Highly recommend.

Superb food, service and atmosphere. Really cared for by staff, chef never fails. Thank you understood totally about allergens.

Christmas Eve curry. Takeaway. Food arrived on time, was hot and delicious. Pric scare fine too. Recommend
