Delhi 6 Lounge At Westoe in South Tyneside

We booked dinner tonight to celebrate my sisters 50th birthday, this is our ‘go to’ place for Indian food, we love the restaurant and the staff, Shah and the team always make you feel welcome. The food was amazing as always, I always highly recommend Delhi 6 to friends and family due to the continual first class service and food. Now the reason I am posting a review this evening in particular is in fact due to the service, tonight was a busy night for the restaurant, we had ordered our food and drinks and were happily sitting chatting away, a little bit of time had passed when the waiter approached the table with our plates for our main meals, we explained we had not had our starters as yet, this was quickly sorted out and soon our starters arrived, again amazing food! A little bit later we had our mains, one meal was incorrect, however again this was sorted out in a moment, again amazing food! Now my review and comments here are not to be viewed as annoyed/angry/upset, instead my review is that of thanks, it is thanks to the team and Shah and his business partner, they in fact were more concerned over our experience, we reassured them that this was not at all any problem, we in fact had enjoyed a really nice evening celebrating my sisters birthday and enjoying good food, drink and family time, that is all that mattered tonight. I feel at times folk fly off the handle about slow service/mistakes in service etc but i honestly cannot fault any part of this evening. Shah, thank you and thank you to your team, this was the perfect night for my family, please do not feel there was any failing on the part of our service and experience, if anything we were more concerned that you guys were okay, you were run off your feet! For anyone looking for a proper good and tasty Indian food experience, this is the place!

Beautiful meal, staff couldn't do enough for us. Even when they had ran out of Coors they went out & bought some in to make sure hubby had his tipple. Firecracker chicken starter followed be a Lamb curry ( thought I would just go for something out of the norm) lovely.

Ordered a delivery from here via just eat, not having had food from here before and it was absolutely delicious, good choice and variety, tasty and good portion sizes. Very enjoyable and we will definitely order from here again. Good number of vegan choices also which made us choose it as my friend is vegan. Thoroughly recommend.

Great Atmosphere and very authentic. I went on saturday evening and my god was everything astonishing. Food was incredible however wasn’t a fan of the masala as I am more into spicy curries . Customer service was off the charts , never in my life have I had such a handsome young waiter who was asking me how the food was , did you enjoy your meal ? and would you like anymore drinks ? Desserts ? . He was very polite and had a big smile . Not to mention he was a very great lad , only 16yrs and he impressed me with his skill . The boss 100% must have taught him well . I will highly recommend and will be coming back 😊

Cannot recommend this place enough! If I could give it 10 stars I would. From the relaxed atmosphere to the attentive friendly staff it made for a great night out. The food is absolutely outstanding with authentic dishes and flavours. Already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you!

Great food along with exceptional service everytime. I have eaten in the restaurant and also had deliveries, i can not fault the staff. I would definitely recommend coming here weather it be with your family, partner, friend or even on your own. Honestly all round excellent.

We visited Delhi 6 Lounge at Westoe for a family meal. The kids shared a korma, I had balti. Great food and the serving lads were friendly and attentive. It's great to have such a gem up the road!

Nicest take away delivered 40 mins after ordering, piping hot, by a friendly driver. Lamb biryani, chicken dansak and veg pilau with 3 starters - thunder prawns, chicken wings and paneer. Every bite was delicious! Would definitely recommend.

These guys have the best menu in shields. Love coming to this restaurant. Railway Lamb is amazing, polite, attentive servers. We will return.
