Curry Centre in South Tyneside

Have been going here for years. The food is first class. I always order the special and have enough food to feed me for two meals. The offer is very good value for money currently only twelve pounds fifty. I have no hesitation in recommending The Curry Centre to everyone.

I recently returned to South Shields, having been away from Tyne and Wear for just over thirty years. I’ve eaten curry throughout the UK and eaten at every curry house in Ocean Road, South Shields. This place tops them all for quality and taste. Although The Curry Centre isn’t a restaurant and is a takeaway, it creates the most magnificent food without equal and is simply the best!! Try it, you won’t be disappointed!!

Ordered from The Curry Centre a few days before our Boxing Day gathering for an order of 11. Not only did it arrive absolutely on time but it was hot and the food tasted absolutely gorgeous. I found out that half of my guests were regular orderers from there and the rest of us were definitely converted. Placing the order was fast and simple and the gentleman I placed the order with was very pleasant.10/10. ⭐️

I am so glad your card machine was working this was by far the nicest curry me and wife had in a very long time and we eat a lot of curry’s, I stick by what I have always said some of the best curry house don’t look up to much on the outside but too me that means they are the best takeaways If I could give it more stars than 5 I would

Second time we have had a takeaway from The Curry Centre. We drove 50 minutes to collect it, absolutely 💯 amazing. The food is delicious, well cooked, very tasty and morish. Have not had an Indian curry as good as this in Year's! We will definitely be doing alot more travelling to The Curry Centre. Thank you!

Been ordering curry’s for over 30 years , tonight I tried to order a delivery, was told I was a few minutes late for delivery 🚚, shocking after such loyalty in ordering , I buy 4 to t curry’s a month , I won’t be ordering again .

Can’t find a better Indian take away, though always happy to eat other places too and have done. Never once been disappointed here. They’ve been keeping us fed for decades!

I used to order from here years ago and for some reason forgot about this place and ordered from other places. I have to admit, I always prefer Indian food from a restaurant as I feel like a takeaway doesn't taste the same. But not from here! This place is definitely under appreciated as is the next best thing to being at a restaurant. The food has always arrives hot, really tasty and value for money. Everyone we recommend this place to they all absolutely love it. This place gets my children's seal of approval!! Now this is the only place we will order from. This place has been open for the 16 years I have lived in South Shields (likely more) with the same owners! That speaks volumes to me! HIGHLY recommend trying this place.

Hidden gem this place is. Rather than go into a restaurant and get a takeaway, we decided to try this small unassuming takeaway and have never looked back! Food hot, tasty and genuine, we will never go elsewhere now

Absolutely fantastic curry from here last night. Authentic taste with stacks of Chicken. Staff were great. What's not too love.

This place has the most delicious, flavoursome, fragrant food. I've tried many others but this tops the lot. It may need a sprucing up but don't be fooled by its looks. Substance over style every time 👌

This take away Indian restaurant not only offers excellent food, a wide menu and courteous service but they do so at an economical price. Atherosclerosis course special menu with wide choice is just £7.50. Great value for a great curry

I'm a regular and I've never had a poor meal yet! Well priced, large portions and very good quality.

Had a curry from here last week, first time in about 25 years. The food was of great quality with nice flavours, but the property looked like it could do with a good scrub as I dont think anything had been done with the place since my last visit (25 years ago). I always think if a place is grubby what is the kitchens like it doesn't paint a pretty picture does it. The wall paper, the paint was grubby the windows had not been cleaned in a long time by the looks of them, the seats were well worn it totally put me off going back. Again the food tasted nice but I wish I had a look at the place before ordering. Reason I tried these was my local place was shut on a Tuesday so I looked for other places on line as I needed my curry fix. Sorry for the negatives guys but you really need to present your establishment better as people will think along the same lines as me.

First class curry with delivery service always excellent quality and good choice on menu waiting time for delivery usually 40 =45 minutes

I rate this take away so highly we use it every week - their delivery service is spot on and is always hot when delivered and is very reasonably priced

Food great every time and good size portions too, even if you are very hungry a special will fill you twice, polite staff and quick enough turnaround. Usually there will be somewhere to park on opposite side of the road too.

Am on a short break and this was recommended by a local walking down the street with loadsa takeaway.... Friendly place.... Good fresh tasty curry and proper chips....!! Really enjoyed it!!

Thus place might not look the best . But I will tell you something been eating food from here for 30 years .never had a bad meal yet . Hope when you order you are hungry. The portions are massive 10/10

We, as a family have enjoyed meals from here on a weekly basis for decades! The meals never fail to thrill the palate with complex mix of delicatly blend of spices and seasonings. Superb!

We always order from the Curry Centre, lovely food ,fast service and pleasant staff and great value for money especially their specials.

We have been using this takeaway since 1973/4 and never in all those years have father and noiw sons failed to produce absolutely wonderful dishes. I would rather have a takeaway from here than any Asian restaurant in the area. Yum, yum!!
