The best restaurants serving Indian food in East of England

I had the most amazing evening at The Sitar! The service, food and hospitality were 10/10, and they made me feel really special on my birthday evening. I was gifted with a bottle of wine and the staff brought out a lovely cake which was such a lovely end to a wonderful meal. I would highly recommend - thank you for an incredible evening! I’ll be back soon!

Always order Lamb dishes from here as they are usually tender and gorgeous. Sadly tonight’s was not good. Big chunks of Lamb that were tough and gristly , rather than previous dishes that were thin slices and beautifully tender. Not sure if chefs have changed, but not sure I’ll order lamb again.

I visited Neelakash for the first time yesterday and I couldn't fault it. The decor is modern and tasteful, the music isn't deafening, the staff are welcoming and most importantly the food is delicious. The naan is brilliant with a delicious smoky edge. The veg dhansak is milder than I expect from a dhansak, but that just allowed me to appreciate just how tasty it was and the lamb balti complemented it perfectly to make a great meal. This is one of those restaurants I just have to come back to.

Had a great night here for my sons 18th Birthday dinner. The staff were amazing throughout. Would highly recommend!

Lightly spiced mussels - in all the years of fine Indian food Spice Valley tops all with this amazing starter! Calling all fans of seafood, come to this restaurant and saver this taste. Light fluffy naan and fine classics make this experience not to be missed. Excellent!

Good quick service and polite staff but only the traditional section of the menu should be considered to order from. I wasnt impressed with my chef special that tasted of mango chutney instead of honey. The Pistachio Korma was a normal Korma with a sprinkle of 5ish crushed nuts. I think they believe the English have no palate so they concentrate more on selling beer than asking how the food is. I had a nice time due to the company I was in. Wouldn't choose to return.

The food was watery and too salty
