Best restaurant in Bedford!! I’ve been coming to the Grand and ordering takeaways from here with my family since I was a little girl. We’ve never been disappointed! The food is amazing and the staff are always so attentive. Couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough ❤️

i asked for not too hot Dhansak but it was still pretty hot…but it was full of flavour…(sometimes too hot just tastes too hot, and it masks flavour) it was delicious…def my favourite Indian takeaway.

Great delivery and on reflection looks plentiful, however the chicken tikka although in a creamy sauce, lacked flavour and so did the biriyani.

Food was stale, pakora batter was old. Overall food was maybe a few days cold meat was very rubbery.

Tikka massage carton was damaged and leaking. I ordered poppadoms and there was none with the order. We order from Grand quite a bit and this was disappointing.

Amazing restaurant and ever such kind people. They know us by name and always make us feel welcome. Ray and Raj are so friendly and the food is absolutely amazing. They customise our dinner to our preference and nothing is ever too much trouble. 10/10

My family has been coming here for years. Incredible food, particularly all the tikkas, and the service is impeccable.

We made a last minute plan to head out for a family meal and headed to The Grand. It was fantastic from start to finish. The warmest of welcomes and brilliant service without any rush which we like. Tried the fish pakora as a starter for the first time which was delicious and delicate. The Imperial Byriani is always a must and the Mumbai meatballs are always good for sharing. This place has been brilliant for 30 years as I had my first proper curry here aged 13. Definitely one of Bedford’s best.

Lamb in the Korai was so tough I could just about chew it. Butter chicken tasted gritty. Was rather bland too

Grate delivery great food wasn’t quite as good as normal but was still very tasty

First ever order that hasn't been perfect. The main was just very bland and the meat had a rubbery texture. 2 sides were great.

the missus has to be careful with the amount of meat products that she consumes, so is very happy to find quorn as an option for her curry. 3rd order of this combination and it leaves a smile on her face and an empty plate.

Perfect food as always - eaten here over 30 years and the food NEVER disappoints. If u get a chance to eat in, you MUST, seriously. The staff are so lovely and the atmosphere is calming and comfortable. Had to have delivery today but it was as hot and fresh as when dining in. Best Indian in Bedford, never been anywhere with kinder staff! Best food you’ll find and wonderful atmosphere! Family has been going here for nearly 40 years (and for good reason). I've since moved away from Bedford and this is the main thing I miss and order when I come back!

Wanted to go out for evening Sunday dinner which we were able to as the grand is open on Sundays the food was quick and really good. Brilliant service

Main meal was very nice but was let down by the papadums. They tasted of stale fat. Such a shame.

Onion bhajis not good as paying £3.80 very small and over cooked. Not happy with them tonight. Chicken Madras not as good as usual. Maybe different Chef, but consistently should be important.

Very lovely food - tandoori chicken was delicious, keema rice had lovely big pieces of keema in it, Bengal green curry was lovely with plenty of lamb, and you put extra green chillies in for me which is very kind of you. Thank you very much for the food, and for delivering it with friendly service.

Very tasty curries, would have liked some more pieces of lamb in both curries. Chicken pakoras were ok, but price is a bit too high for them, as they were more like plain battered chicken to me. Tandoori king prawns are the best around, as they are the big twirly ones - please keep doing these as I love them! Nice delivery driver, and he came right up to the door, thank you very much.

Always great food and service in a classic setting. Greeted with a smile and will keep coming back.

Although the food was delivered on time despite the good reviews the food was poor. It was flavourless. The lamb was tough the tikka salmon lacked flavour or any authenticity. Won’t be ordering again.

Lovely food, but surely 80 minutes pre delivery time shouldn't end up as a 15+ minutes late. Almost as though the restaurant and not the customer has any control on when their food arrives.

saag paneer was fresh but Alu gobhi seemed old and had a sour taste as if about to go bad.

I haven't had the pleasure of dining here yet, I don't like leaving my deaf and blind dog at home on her own, however, I do get takeaway meals delivered to my door by polite and friendly drivers and I am very grateful for their good service. As for the food, I cannot sing my praises highly enough for the delicious food I receive from the Grand Indian kitchen. The quality and flavours of the meals are absolutely amazing. Five stars is not enough for this establishment which I consider to be the eighth wonder of the world. Thank you guys, you are much appreciated.

When I say this is the BEST Indian restaurant. I mean it!! I’ve never had good this amazing in my life!!!
