Always a nice experience that doesn't break the bank. The food is really good with something for everyone on the menu, staff are attentive and create a relaxed atmosphere.

Beautiful food. Excellent service. Brother Ray always smiling treated me to a lot of ❤️ This will be my regular. It a shame I live in London but I'm happy to drive down to this place. I highly recommend the naga lamb chilli.

Couldn't be bothered to do my order so they cancelled it. 20 mins before closing. Pathetic. Won't order again.

The food is excellent but we had a delivery. It took 95 mins and food was far from hot. Reheated and what great flavours. My suggestion is eat in or collect.

I haven't had the pleasure of dining here yet, I don't like leaving my deaf and blind dog at home on her own, however, I do get takeaway meals delivered to my door by polite and friendly drivers and I am very grateful for their good service. As for the food, I cannot sing my praises highly enough for the delicious food I receive from the Grand Indian kitchen. The quality and flavours of the meals are absolutely amazing. Five stars is not enough for this establishment which I consider to be the eighth wonder of the world. Thank you guys, you are much appreciated.

The first time visit was definitely a worth...The food has great taste... with a mix of authentic bengal spices the restuarant is for sure a one stop shop to visit when you visit our small town Bedford.... Ambience and the interior gives a so Indian vibe..

Always lovely food and staff members, big portions and good attention to detail with heated racks to keep dishes on your table hot. Bengal green curry is especially good!

A great Indian spot located near the high street in the town centre of Bedford. A busy street full of Indian restaurants, and this one stands out the best. Great food, great atmosphere inside and very good prices. The staff are friendly and the food is always very good. They know exactly how to hit the spice limits!

Service was nice, Poppadoms were burnt, Chilli sauce was watery, 2x mains, chicken tikka masala was nice, Chicken bhuna was dry, Naan bread was nice, Diet Coke over priced!! 4x £15.80

Won't go again at weekend. If ever. A loud, noisy and rushed experience. Not at all relaxing. Couldn't talk to my friend as soooooo much noise. Waiters were rushed off their feet. Took ages to get food. They had to deal with take outs and eat at home orders as well as diners. Had to get Waiters attention as they were so busy. Food a bit undercooked. Left feeling stressed. Very disappointing. Will look for other places now.

We had a lovely experience this evening and even tho it had been a few years since I was last here, it was still as good as I remember it being. The service I can’t fault and the food never disappoints. One of the best in Bedford! Thank you 😁

Starters came with more dips than I would normally see. Good meal for 2 enough for 3, we had 2 mains with a veggy dish and 2 naan breads, good service very helpful waiter helped us with the level of spice we required. If i could make a suggestion maybe a slight increase on the rice to match the mains. I still had to use a doggy bag for the rest. Good overall and I would return.

Poor service, sat down and was jumped on straight away for what to drink, when poppodums came out waiters looking every minute to try to take it away, felt rushed. Took ten mins to ask for the bill, then another 10 mins trying to pay for it, wasn’t going to leave a tip a as such poor service , once paid the Waiter gave a dirty look and did not even say thank you. Last came here three years ago and was good service but now gone right down hill. Food was also salty and not much flavour!!

Mushroom pilau rice a bit too greasy for my liking.Chicken Jalfezi thought a bit on the sweet side, plenty of chicken though, probably choose the wrong dish

Been visiting The Grand for years, and neither the quality or the service has ever faultered. Great food at reasonable prices, and lovely welcoming staff. We always have a great time when we visit. Best Indian food in Bedford, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

I, and now my family have used this restaurant for over 30 years. Firstly, the staff are amazing, such welcome to regulars and new customers alike. The food is consistently excellent and the atmosphere is always so good. We have continued to support this most excellent local business using their efficient delivery service during this continuing hard time, and as tradition dictates, our family new year's Day Grand Indian evening dinner was still fulfilled for 2022 and we had such a great experience as ever. Happy new year to all the staff at Grand India.

Best Indian in Bedford, never been anywhere with kinder staff! Best food you’ll find and wonderful atmosphere! Family has been going here for nearly 40 years (and for good reason).

No doubt the best Indian in Bedford, they have continued to provide great food and great service for over 30 years! Credit to Ray and Faye for running this place, all the waiters are very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is great inside , lovely booths and decor. Whether you choose a chicken dish or a lamb dish, the chefs here are brilliant and make very tasty dishes, the bhunas and Rogan Josh are my personal favourites from here. Credit to all at Grand, I am a regular here, 5 stars!

Tonight was the first time we had takeaway from here. It was excellent. The order was delivered on time, very well packed and the food was delicious. Will use again

Not family friendly. Turned away from an empty restaurant as they couldn’t accommodate prams even though there was ample space. After we’d already sat down. Staff made it very awkward and were rude.

Had a great experience.. superb, attentive service and wonderful food. Really enjoyed dining there, and look forward to dining there again. Have also had numerous takeaways previously.. food is always good and delivered in reasonable time.

Just had a great meal delivered. On time, food was hot and beer was cold. Lamb Jalfrezi for me, Chicken Papda for my wife( she likes tasty but mild), meat samosas and Cobra beer. Very good, helpful service and delicious food.Will definitely use them again for delivery and when we can go out for a meal again.Well done

The food this evening was delicious and the service was excellent, I asked for delivery for 6pm and my food was delivered on time at 6pm. Definitely recommend the Grand.

A range of fantastic curries, always served fast and fresh. The staff are nice, attentive, and great with the kids too. Our favourite Indian in Bedford, and that's a big achievement!

Incredible. Has been my favourite restaurant for years. Incredible atmosphere and the food is a whole other story. It's delicious, sometimes my mouth genuinely waters when I think of it! The staff are amazing, and if you go there more than once the waiters will get to know you and always try to strike up a conversation and they are most definitely friendly. I love this restaurant so much - cannot recommend highly enough!

This was our first visit at Grand India. The food was amazing and they have dishes that you cant get anywhere else. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. The staff is professional and friendly. Definitely going to visit again

Grand India is our family’s favourite Indian restaurant in Bedford and we’ve eaten here for years. Fantastic authentic food every time whether you’re eating in the restaurant or ordering a takeaway. We recommend to everyone!

Excellent service. This is a lovely restaurant. The food was beautiful. I can highly recommend the fish tikka. And the government discount, currently, Mon-Wed makes the meal a true bargain!

I have had take away and eaten a few times at the restaurant and have enjoyed the food and friendly service. But our last visit was to undo all this when my daughter suffered a severe bout of food poisoning which was very distressing to witness as a parent.

We've been going here for years and really struggled not going through lockdown although the takeaways were always lovely.We went back a couple of weeks ago and have been back again since and everything is as it should be with the social distancing rules,masks etc.I would thoroughly recommend going here,we did not feel uneasy about the cleanliness and precautions they have put in place due to Covid and will keep returning.

Best Indian in town, well for me anyway as they cook some delicious food and adjust it in anyway you like. The service is spot on, they have a good laugh with you as well as trying to serve people and get the takeaways out on time. I've been in twice since lockdown has eased a bit, they have it running nice with not too many people in so keeping your distance is fine if that's what your looking for. Excellent team working here and so friendly to you, one of my favourites and always will be as they've known my family for over 30 years.

As lockdown begins to ease we have started to eat out and the Grand is the perfect place to go. It's not so busy in there so you can keep to the 2 meter rule and eat their delicious food. They are all keeping to the rules and wear face masks when serving so little to no risk. The food and service is spot on as it was before lockdown! We have been eating in here as a family for over 30 years and love our nights out in here. If it's great food your looking for in a safe environment then I recommend you try the Grand.

We had food delivered since we are in lockdown. Unfortunately they have a problem with drivers and the food arrived over an hour later than the given delivery time of 1 hr 15 mins. We ordered classics like butter chicken and chicken tikka masala. If your tastes in Indian food are mild and sweet, then you would be happy. We didn't like it.

My friend and I visited Grand India when on a short break in Bedford. From entering we were made most welcome and looked after throughout. The food was excellent and the owner was a delight to talk to. A nice touch at the end of the meal was complimentary drinks which were most appreciated. Will certainly pay a return visit.

One of the best in town. I have eaten at this restaurant and had takeaways from here for the past 25 years - usually once a month - the food is delicious and the staff are fantastic! Enjoy your evening, it will be lovely.

We visited on a quiet Tuesday evening with my wife and 3 grown-up children. We have visited several times before and have never had a bad meal. The staff are friendly and attentive and the service is 1st class. I had the Bengal Green Curry which was full of flavour and well recommended.

This is a fantastic family run restaurant. We travelled up from Bristol to join friends here for a meal and the waiters were lovely. They made us laugh and were interesting to chat to. Thank you for a good night.
