The best vegetarian Indian takeout/Cafe in Bedford!

The best samosas anywhere!! Drive 40 minutes to but loads for my kids' 10 birthday party. Also bought lots of curries and sundries. Delicious food. Proper food. Nothing like the "Indian" food you get in restaurants or supermarkets. They also have a small fine in area, which is always full. Highly recommend phoning your order beforehand for collection if ordering a large amount as it is cooked fresh.

No customer service rude and ladoo was off

Took my mum to eat there and the waitress had a bad attitude. Then when I ordered a sweet lassie there was a plastic glove part in the glass. Will not be returning ever again.

Lovely vegetarian place, though they are dealing with a lot of customers, so call in advance. Lots of yummy things and they have added an eat in facility too. Unfortunately parking is very tricky.

I ordered at the shop and made sure to add aloo golbi at the end and then got home dishes my food out and there wasn’t any aloo golbi in there I rang them up and they then said I would have to drive back to the place to get it yet I’ve already drove there and my food would be cold by the time I get back so I said if I come could you please chuck some more roti in so I can have a warm meal when I get home and I’m wasting more petrol on which it’s your mistake they said no we can’t do that I said why though and they said they can only do the aloo golbi which I was a bit annoyed with as me and my family have been going there for over 40years as my gran used to go my whole family go and they couldn’t do one thing for me but you see how far it gets you when certain customers leave

This place has the best vegetable samosas. Extremely delicious and just 70p each. I enjoy having these during my break and would have it more regularly if I lived in the area. Highly recommended.

I asked for the Namkeen to be put in the same type of paper box as I was taking the food to a relative. The staff made me pay £1 for the paper box! I was astonished that she charged me £1. I was in a rush, and didn't want to get into a argument and so I paid it. I WILL NOT VISIT AGAIN!

Must buy sweets only after tasting, specially milk sweets like barfi, gulabjamun, rasgulla etc. , got stale sweets 3rd time so thought of posting online.

I had a bad experience from this shop. I had some pani puri, bread pakoda and channa pattura and was traveling from there for almost 3 hours, then I got a bad tummy ache and diarrhea during my journey. After reaching home my wife tried to eat the Gujja sweets from the same shop and it was full of fungus and a bad smell inside. The second one also got the same problem.

I visited a restaurant a few times and always paid by cash. Today, I went for dine-in and informed the staff before ordering that I didn’t bring cash and asked if I could pay by card. They assured me that I could do a bank transfer. After finishing my lunch, I went to the counter to pay, but they refused to accept my card. I reminded them that I had confirmed with their colleague before ordering that I could pay by card or bank transfer. However, the lady at the counter was very rude and insisted they don't accept card or bank transfer payments. She suggested I go to Morrisons to buy chocolates and get cash back, but I told her I didn’t want any chocolates. She wouldn't listen. Realizing it was a waste of time to argue, I went to Morrisons, got cash back, and paid the restaurant. I am very upset and won’t be visiting this place again.

Very bad on food. Had dinner last night with family on Father’s Day. Ordered Paneer Tikka Masala, Malai Kofta and Shahi Paneer. To our surprise, all three came out with exactly the same common gravy while it was supposed to be different for each of these items. Malai kofta didn’t have any malai in it, forget about the cashew etc. And, that common gravy was made in simple tomato-onion. Peshawari Naan was too thick. Hot gulab jamun was very cold out of fridge. When feedback was given on the table for all of this, the response “we are very busy and in hurry today with sweets orders due to Eid”. We were the only customers in their restaurant area. They could have said NO in the beginning if they were so occupied with sweets. Only samosa chat was good, nothing else. Waste of money. Not recommended. One more surprise was no card payment, only cash. Who does that now!!

Whenever I'm in Bedford, this is the place that I get some proper Punjabi food. I was surprised to see they now have a seating area. I've always eaten out but plan to sit down. Some of the best Samosa I've tried 🙏🏽❤️😀

must go place if you are craving for north indian food, tried noodles spring rolls it 10/10 very crispy and fulfilling, aloo tikki chat 9/10 could be served with more curd instead of chole curry, chole bhature 10/10 especially the curd and pickle

Great clean place maintained by some lovely women. Food is authentic Punjabi with decent prices. I would recommend their kofta curry, naan. Only flipside is that they don't accept card.

Nice shop with active staff. Love their vegetable samosa, sweets are nice as well. But jaleibi is always cold, they should atleast warm it. They have extended the shop and made some seating area but problem is the parking. Normally it takes less than 5 minutes for picking up a sweet or 2, and you leave. but if we start sitting there parking will be a huge issue as we already park in the streets nearby..

Food is fresh and always piping hot! The ladies are quiet friendly and always serve with a smile

Best Veg Samosas around. £0.60p a samosa is daylight robbery. No meat options though but not an issue. Spring rolls and other veg options available. Excellent service and tasty food in general.

This is probably one of my favourite places to go when I want samosas or sweets! And they have a seating area now, where you can eat your delicious smelling hot samosas right away! 😋 The food is always fresh, the samosas are piping hot and very, very tasty! The customers are served as fast as possible (even though it usually is very busy, especially during the weekend!), the staff are friendly and helpful, the packaging that they give you for the sweets is so awesome, that you can give the sweets of your choice as a gift to someone! Overall - lovely place with awesome food! The only downside - they don't deliver! Otherwise I would have eaten so much often their food!

Been here twice in a week. If you want Paranthas then this is the place to be. Had Aaloo and Gobi Paranthas, break pokaoras, samosas, and Choley. It's a small but good quality menu. Jalebis were great too.

Scam artists this place. Firstly they don't take card payments only take cash so they don't declare as much of their earnings so they don't pay tax. And also they keep increasing the prices. They website prices are lower but then you go to the store and items are all above the website price. Boycott this place, HMRC should investigate this company's fraudulent earnings evading tax

I was happy customer when I went over there last year I had bad experience in service because the respect waiter told me give me one time order because ordered took long time to prepare she told we were we busy in take order sorry our food was 45 min late.i igorne it may be they were busy ,now on 23 dec2023 I felt the same things .we ordered dahi bhalla ordered and dinner 40 min ago they refused to give dine I told pack as take way order. During bill time they we forget our order dahi Bhalla one of lady told me take dahi and bhalla and make it home.we were going to London and buy some sweets 2 box of gulab jamun one of the box the gulab jamun we eat today they all smell bad as well as worse in eating. They opened the restaurant for people but the experience was worse every time they proudly told we are busy in take way ordered then they have to close the dining area.everytine told give onetime ordered we are busy in take way order.they gave priority take ordered then they have to close the dining area.there behaves very rude....

A very friendly place. From the outside, it does not look like a restaurant at all. There is a shop front with a counter selling Indian sweets/desserts. Food was freshly cooked and very tasty. Very authentic North Indian food. Service was fantastic. Place is very clean, so are the toilets. Not your standard professional type of food and service, but very very heart warming. You have to open up to the lovely ladies serving you and they will reflect your mood. I went there again after a couple of days. We met a gentleman who drives 30 miles each week for the food! I had saag with makki roti and lassi. Friends had chhole bhature and parathas, papdi chaat, dahi bhalle, and pakore. Every dish was very tasty. Almost homemade taste and service. Chai is fantastic too. Like the other gentleman, this is going to be my weekly joint for sure! Oh, and it is pure vegetarian!! Other important information is it is a Cash Only transaction. Nearest ATM is just a few yards away at Morrisons.

I have not been personally,my work colleagues pop in every now and then and when they go they always bring back a box of vegetable samosas, all I will say is that they are fantastic, the box is emptied in seconds, we adore them.

Ordered pani puri over the phone for collection. The person didn’t warn/alert me that it’s cash only. I drove 10+ miles for this. There is no excuse for not having a card machine in today’s day and age. You should AT LEAST mention this to customers.

Samosas just seem to get better! Every year I order a batch of approx 80 samosas to share at work for mine and a colleagues birthday - this has become a highlight of the year! Always freshly made and ready for collection at the agreed time with just 24 hours notice, and a great price too. These bad boys are a great size, packed full of potato, peas and the perfect spice and seasoning blend. They were delicious last year, and I am sure they were even better today!
