The best restaurants serving Indian food in East of England

Absolutely loved the garlic chicken starter, really warm and comforting. Packed with flavour and couldn't stop eating it. The Bombay aloo lacked something that the chicken starter didn't, and it wasn't protein! Balti chicken tikka jalfrezi amazing and hot! I forgot to order mushroom PILAU rice so glad I had cheese naan to dip. Onion salad too coarsely cut but a very, very enjoyable Indian as I sit in bed recovering from illness. Thank you so much 🥳😋

Very nice food at good prices. Very welcoming at 6pm on a Tuesday night and were given a nice large table. It has happy hour at that time when dishes have money off. Nice tasty food and will return.

My local Indian takeaways in Southend. The food is amazing, with large portions. Delivery services are efficient, within the hour. I would highly recommend… Vindaloo & chicken saag dishes. 5+++++

I've tried a few buffets in my Luton but none compare to this buffet! Great selection, including some spicier dishes, which is soooo welcomed! Even comes with Indian desserts which was a lovely treat. I am planning to visit again soon and bring a whole load of family!

Had dinner with my flight crew on mother's day. They had a delicious buffet. There were many choices that tasted delicious.

Excellent all round, service is simply the best and wow what great curry! 18 of us and couldn’t have been better, everything came out together for a party that big was brilliant service! My favourite starter the Prawn puri was excellent, Chicken Madras lovely. Great night thanks Ali Tandoori 😍

If you want to avoid a disappointing experience, I suggest skipping this place. The front desk lady manager was quite rude—she mumbled something, and when I politely asked her to repeat it, she responded with unnecessary hostility. Strangely, she was noticeably more polite to native English speakers. Unfortunately, the food was also below average. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place. BIG NO NO.

We eat here regularly, and the dosas are consistently a joy - as good as any we have eaten across South India never mind the UK. We love them. Despite a full house of over 40 diners yesterday the lamb and paneer dosas were superb. Tender lamb, and scrumptious vegetables and chutneys on mine. Glad to see the owners also taking on board some criticism - and changing things. Doesn't happen often in restaurants. Looking forward to the next time. Yumm.
