Lovely food and extra early so I didn’t have tip ready for driver, will make it up next time, please try and get Salmon back on the menu.

The food was really nice could of been a bit hotter but the delivery was really bad

So last couple meals by Spice King have been delivered with cold food. My partner had to reheat in Microwave. Not freezing cold, not like warm just no temperature. Thought we’d try again and same thing. Naan bread over done and food not warm but no cold and needed reheating. Quality of the Massala sauce has also been gradually getting worse. Still worth a try here and overall not a bad meal but feel like quality is dropping this place and will be ordering more from Pink Garlic.

The BEST Indian I have had in a long time. Super fresh and tasty (no over cooked onion bahjis either). A perfect gem of a restaurant. Staff happy and jovial too - HIGHLY recommended

Missing item of rice. The lamb in the korma was inedible it was rock hard. Brand new steak knife couldn’t cut the meat. Total waste of money.

Disappointed. I couldn't be bothered to drive to my preferred Indian (Nirvana in Ingatestone) so I ordered a takeaway from here instead. Very nice guy on the phone who said we can adapt any dish to your liking. I asked for some added.spice to my Madras and it was very mild. All the food was luke warm which was very disappointing. The naan was ok and the saag aloo was the best tasting thing I ordered. Only myself and my son ordered and it was almost as expensive as my usual order for 4 people from Nirvana. Unfortunately I think that we won't be ordering from here again and just make the drive to collect from our usual instead.

Recently moved to billericay, most important thing for us is a good local Indian as it’s my childrens fav! Tried one last week that was standard, this restuarant is top class, service was 100% from start to finish they were attentive and looked after the kids through to ice cream and ALOT of chocolates at the end! The starters and mains were the best Indian food we’ve had, my 9 year old boy is hard to please and was so happy walking out, we can’t wait to return already! Thank you so much to every member of staff, see you soon x p.s mocktails amazing too x

Quiet and small place. Bring your own alcohol which I wasn’t aware of before, didn’t ruin a very nice meal though. Staff were really good. Place can feel a little claustrophobic but had a lovely evening.

The lamb biryani was amazing!!! Ordered a chicken biryani the next day which was yummy too!

Ordered takeaway. Food was cold. Chicken in the biriani was very overcooked, dry, tasteless. Dish arrived with a tub of yoghurt (sheer laziness!) instead of a warm vegetable curry sauce seperate. Also, where I come from it has a fried egg/omelette with it. I didn't mind that it didn't have the egg but I will never buy from here again. The bhaji was so disgusting, it went straight in the bin. It was utterly tasteless, chewy and greasy, and likely been hanging around for a week- certainly tasted like it. I do not recommend.

Never again. Ordered food & two hours later & still waiting. Being Diabetic its important to eat regular. Have twice been told the food is on it way & another half an hour & no food. We were told it was cooked & ready to deliver over an hour ago. Now they say a mistake was made. We gave them 5 minutes more & thats it. What a disgraceful way & then to admit they lied to us twice as they made a mistake. They didnt even take the responsibility & I should feel sorry for them that it was just a boy that got it wrong. Our family will never order from them again. We are so cross we are unlikely to want the food. Its now 14 minutes since they said it was 5 minutes, so its not looking likely that we will get food.

Returned here for a 3rd time, early evening on a Friday. Once again, great food, fresh ingredients, really nice authentic flavour to the dishes too. Established itself as a firm favourite and will definitely return.

Arrived on time and was nice and hot and all very tasty

2nd visit last night following a great first meal on my first visit. Went with friends and had the mixed starter which was incredible. Each of our main course dishes were brilliant, you could taste the ingredients The tarka dhall was also fantastic This place is BYOB so buy your drinks next door before entry. Highly recommend. A great meal!

Wow what an amazing curry. we went here for a birthday and was treated great from start to finish. The biryani was especially good. Recommend to anyone for a quiet meal or a big event, the food and service is always brilliant!

First time ordering. The lamb biryani was awfull, there was no seasoning at all. It was completely tasteless, the lamb was chewy with no flavour. The vegetable curry was tasteless with no flavour. The prawn puri was nice taste, but the prawns were like rubber and chewy. The bread was good. Most of my food went in the bin.

I was not given an ETA at time of order. In the event, delivery took 50mins so ok.

Firstly I’d like to say I haven’t eaten here before an ordered based on recent feedback and reviews. I ordered delivery and it was prompt and on time a still very hot. The Masala wasn’t the best I’d ever had but wasn’t the worst either. The sauce was not oily at all, maybe a bit watered down and lacking flavour but packed enough heat and the chicken a little over cooked. The Mango Chutney was on point. That about all that was good. The sag Paneer was not at all to my liking i prefer it when the paneer is melted in with the spinach so it’s nice and creamy. That’s more on me than them. However the Mushroom rice ordered was so over bearing with lemongrass it was like eating lemongrass straight out of packet. Killed the rice completely. I ordered a Mix king PLATTER. Basically a mixed grill but whenever I’ve ordered platters before there’s enough to go around. This was more like a mix grill for one. 1 small piece of Kofta, 1 cube of chicken and 2 cubes of lamb ( the lamb was tough and stringy and lacked flavour) The Stuffed Pathara tasted like an old sock and I know that sounds harsh but honestly it I took two bites and the rest went in the bin but was hot on delivery. Finally and lastly Meat Somosa these were small and tasted like they had been a few days old, likely to have been heated. I have eaten at any other Indians in Billericay but I certainly won’t be ordering here again. I’ve eaten at my fair share of indian takeouts and I’ve had some great and some not so great. This one

Love Spice King! They forgot one item and came back down to deliver it within 5 mins! They’re lovely!

The food arrived 1.5 hours after the delivery time, it was cold and the restaurant were terrible when dealing with my query.

Gorgeous food as always however ordered at 17:30 and turned up at 19:40. Salad was missing, Nan bread was missing. But will be back, as food is so yummy 🤤

Food was as good as ever albeit 2 hours after I ordered! Everyone had a glitch now and then though but being left on hold for an update was annoying. Food was delivered eventually, and half price for the wait. Would go back still

Shocking, chased and was told it was being prepared, 30 mins later called again promised a call back, nothing ! Complained via Just Eat then got a reply over 1.5 hours late and 2.5 hours after the order placed. Totally unacceptable

The food was really late (original expected delivery time was 1hr 30mins) I phoned the restaurant (after 2 hours) and was told the food had just left the kitchen. It arrived within 10 minutes - every dish was stone cold and one of the dishes was incorrect. Not typical service from Spice King

Absolutely awful!! Ordered food at 5.50pm, estimated delivery between 7.05 and 7.25pm. Called restaurant at 7.40pm, after holding for 15 mins got cut off. Called back and EVENTUALLY told that order was being packed up and would be 10mins. 25 mins later called back to be told it was just being packed up and would be another 25 mins. Decided to go to the restaurant as it would be quicker. When I got to the front desk they told me that the delivery was on my doorstep. On way back home called to check and wife said no-one had turned up. Went back to restaurant and was handed phone as delivery guy WAS now there.restaurant guy said there had been a system problem, don’t believe it as I have used this restaurant and just eat twice and both times I have had the same rubbish experience.

Terrible service. I placed a pre order at 5 pm to be delivered for 6 pm. Order was delivered 45 min late. Had to call restaurant several times for a update. Food was hot and fresh but lacked salt. The veggie side dishes were dry with only dash of sauces.

Bag was leaking with curry sauce which is really nice as it stained my kitchen work top and kitchen floor (where I briefly put it down to open oven up to keep food warm whilst waiting for wife).

Food is great and staff has really gone out of there way to help me deliver food to my uncle locally. I call from the states and they always make sure he gets a full meal that is good quality, hot and fresh once received. Thank you Spice King! Great food, great service.

Wow! This establishment is great. It’s cosy and intimate, not overdone or trying too hard. I felt at home and really welcomed and the food was really good, no grease and full of taste. Worth a visit it even a take away.

I placed the order at 6.30 for a 7.30 delivery, the food arrived at 8.50!!! Was told three times over the hour & 50 minutes delay that ‘the food was on its way’
