Spicy Papadom in Great Yarmouth

Had a delivery from here whilst on holiday today. Absolutely amazing. 5 adults all enjoyed our meals and couldn't fault anything.

Excellent overall and delivery was very friendly..

Ordered food from here and the quality was excellent. Both of the curries were full of flavour as were the side dishes and naan. I would definitely order a takeaway from here again. Delivery was a little late but our location was not the easiest to find so I can understand this. The food was still hot which was a good.

the Bombay potatoes where very hard! (so under cooked) the chicken tikka masala was not the kind I ordered! and the keema rice was so filled with onions it's not what I asked for!

Arrived on time. Food really hot which is a pleasant experience compared to many lukewarm deliveries elsewhere. Everything really tasty.

Took a chance on Sunday evening to get table. Three other tables dining. Small restaurant staff friendly. Restaurants bit tired and could do with bit of clean. Ordered chicken ceylon, chicken pathia, pilau rice and naan. Food was delivered quickly and hot. Very suitable flavour fair amount of chicken. Naan very nice. BYO for drinks had soft drinks. Was ok overall.

My Biriani was very lacklustre but my experienced curry eating partner said her Rogan was A1. Personally, I think they should get rid of the TV and have Indian background music to get 5*'s. The young man serving us was courteous and polite. Thank you

Such a lovely hidden treasure. Been to Caister for many years and only just heard about this place. Came for my Dad's birthday meal and we were not disappointed. Such good food. Can definitely tell the place is popular because nearly every table was full when we arrived. Will 100% be coming here again.

We struggled to get a reservation but the place was deserted the whole time we were there. Decor is tired. Service was casual to be generous. TV blaring in the background was out of place and unnecessary. Food was very average, bland, but lots of meat. Chicken was amazingly tender but tasteless. Pop Adams were not crisp, almost chewy. And no mention of no alcohol license which isn’t a problem if informed before arrival. Such a shame. We really looked forward to our visit and went home very disappointed Maybe they concentrate more on the takeaway business

Ordered meal online, asked for delivery as we were staying in our caravan locally. The meal arrived as per request and the food was very very good,all in all no complaints

My sister in law is coeliac and they were excellent at dealing with this. Allergens and the information about them was displayed on the menu and in the restaurant. The staff were knowledgeable and careful about this too. The food and service were very good and all 8 of us had a brilliant meal in a busy restaurant. We were super impressed.

Ordered for dine in, customer service very bad, there is one person standing on till talking very rude while asking about foods,telling that somebody ordered the food and didn’t given money”somebody done like this before”, judging customers while seeing, very bad experience from man who is standing on till, i just asked for owner number for saying this, he told he is the owner and tell to him, then he told that the owner comes later, very worst and bad experience that happened this year

Food great we dined in, can be a bit noisy if a large party in.

2 x Pathia, 2 x Keeman Nan, 1 Onion Nan, were very good and no complaints from the 2 that ate them. The score marked low for the following reasons, often you get complimentory poppadom in Birmingham, but here you didn't, I am not so bothered about that as its a business and nothing is free rule applies, so for those reading the review take note when ordering. The starter Reshmee Kebab was VERY dry came with no salad or sauce very unusual. Egg Pilau - was not egg pilau delivery was wrong. Naga (Lamb) @£10.75 - whilst the sauce was very nice what was served WAS NOT LAMB, It was either Beef or Mutton, I am debating with myself if I should call trading standards about this, as if it was advertised as MEAT Naga then you take the risk and you eat what you get beef, mutton or what ever. This was clearly ordered and advertised as Lamb but it wasn;t. Such a shame as the flavours of all the curries were very nice. ruined by the minor issues and the major meat issue. I wouldn't say avoid this place, but I would say avoid the "LAMB"

Oh my goodness. My husband and I were on holiday with our little girl this week and fancied a curry. I can without doubt say that this was genuinely one of the best curries I have eaten in my life and we are from the midlands where there are plenty of Asian restaurants to chose from! I can’t comment on the restaurant itself or the ambience as it was a takeaway but the food was incredible! I am just gutted I have found such a wonderful curry so far from where I live!

Always brilliant food whether you eat or take away. The only place I go to now for a curry. Tandoori mixed grill is amazing

Absolutely fantastic curry. We ordered it to our chalet in winterton and can honestly say this was the best curry we've ever had. All 3 of us cleared our plates which is unheard of. Beautiful flavours and fantastic quality. We will be ordering again when we return in August!

Restaurant only five minutes away food arrived late and cold

Staying nearby at a caravan park - delighted to find such a gem on our doorstep! Quality food at very reasonable prices, excellent service delivered to the entrance of the park, will definitely order again on our next trip

Extremely rude service from the man who served me when I went back in and questioned the fact that something was missing from my order. Hair in two out of the three dishes. Bang average taste of the food.

Naan breads extemely undercooked, no fruit in Peshawar Naan. Korma had 4 pieces of chicken and sauce was not even half filling container. garlic lamb curry had no taste what so ever. had better curries out of a jar!! overall one of the worst Indian takeaway curries I have ever had! most of it has gone in the bin!!

Loved the meal. Me and my friends 4 diners went in last minute and was hosted by the staff who were friendly and polite. Was helpful with our menu and there was an excellent selection to choose from. We all had something different and they catered to our needs. Atmosphere was very relaxing and had a great time. Highly recommend and will be visiting again soon. 😀

Food was bland, both had lamb dishes with different sauces. (Madras,Mysha) Each only had about 6 small strips of lamb in which were tough and overcooked and swamped in very runny sauces. Mushroom Rice ok but smaller portions than your average takeaway. Ordered chilli and garlic Naan, barely any garlic and definitely no chilli. They also wouldn't honour the 10% discount for collection either. Onion bhaji was good. All in all, paid over the odds for below par food. Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't go back.

Food was cold had to warm everything up. Poppadums' were not very nice mostly soft. Extreme cost for very small pot of mint sauce. Taste of main meal was good once warmed up. Overall delivery time was long food arrived cold disappointing this time.

Food needed heatng up and it's only down the road. This was the same as a previous order a while ago. Expected better.

Sadly food was cold and our order was wrong & late! Ordered 1 plain Nan and 1 Peshwai and received 2 x Peshwai

Food arrived on time but arrived cold could not be eaten without warming up good job we have microwave. Very disappointed to be charged 25p for a bag that i didn't ask for and 50p for service charge when already paying for delivery. Its a bit like Ryanair with all the addons. Food was very nice after warming though shame all the other bits let it down

Absolutely brilliant food, really hot still (warmth, not spicy!) And so, so tasty! I tried a few new things and they were all amazing, a very happy, full and contented party of 4! Driver found us easily and was very friendly, even to our noisy pup! Thank you, we will be ordering again! 😍

Plenty of chicken in the Tikka main, I’d say they’ve increased portion size. Well cooked and tasty. Asked for extra cheese on the Naan breads and they did that for us. Both of enjoyed our dinner. Would highly recommend

We were dissapointed as we ordered over £50 and we didn't even get the poppadoms for free, which you would with other takeaways. Also, ordered a king prawn dish that had 2 prawns in and we paid £7 for it and they weren't even big. Rather dissapointed

For the price of the meal, it was ok. My husband had a vegetable Rogan Josh, there was a few really big chunks of carrot, they hadn't been diced in anyway so he struggled to eat it. The peshwari nann was also undercooked.

Absolutely disgusted paid £38 for soggy poppadoms,cold chips and chicken that was diced within an inch of it's life. The satay chicken was a joke all in all a very unsatisfactory experience never to be repeated and I can guarantee it won't. Owners should be ashamed to send food to paying customers. NO EXCUSES will ever excuse this abomination of food. Authentic Indian cuisine is a joke and an insult.

Second choice tonight as couldn’t get a meal from the normal place. 6 bits of meat in the main, rest was potato and sauce, soft popadoms, rancid tasting mint sauce, sag aloo delivered instead of sag paneer and all for £8 more than I would usually pay. Far from great value. Disappointing. Delivered on time though and food was hot.

Fantastic takeaway dinner we ordered 30 minutes before collecting. The waiting times can be longer. They also have free delivery over £15. The interior looked clean and cosy.

i dont know whats happened to spicy popadum its not the same, small portions mix up with order not what i ordered missing items so food going cold whilst waiting for other items after phonecalls its really gone down the quality and service.i wont be ordering again

Dropped in for a takeaway last night and wow what a treat we had, lamb vindaloo and Chicken and mushroom Dhansak mopped up with a plain naan bread each which was probably one of the best naans I’ve ever had. Great service and well priced. See you again very soon.

This was our first experience of Spicy Poppadom, recommended by a friend, we were not disappointed. We ordered and paid via the ‘Eat Out’ app, this was very easy. We arrived to pick up at the exact time, our order was handed to me within a few minutes. We found the food to be absolutely delicious and will most certainly be ordering again. Highly recommended.

Chicken was extremely dry and chewy. Have ordered from here many times and not normally food is good. Today however was not very impressed at all. Was edibles so didn’t demand refund, but certainly wouldn’t recommend based on today’s experience

Coming from London, we have dozens of Indian restaurants to choose from and competition is high. We have found in the past, when visiting more remote towns, the lack of competition can affect quality. I can happily say this was not the case here. Food was quality, portion size generous and delivered on time. Would highly recommend.

We gave easy instructions on how to find us and a phone number but apparently the driver was driving around for nearly an hour. We accepted the food as we had guests waiting and we’d already waited over an hour. At the bottom of the bag it was swimming with grease. Bendy poppadoms , not crispy at all. Onion barges were cold in the middle. The worst food ever , complete waste of £80.

Food wasn't ready at collection time given by the restaurant. When I arrived home the order was incomplete. Phoned the restaurant and they had no way to refund the missing item. Suggested I went in for a cash refund or free item next time I order. As I was on holiday in the area there wasn't a chance to go back in so never received the refund. TBH the food was only a 5/10 score so wouldn't go back anyway.
