Planet Spice in Great Yarmouth

First time in planet spice and we wasn't disappointed the restaurant was very clean and well put forward to it's guests the staff was very attentive and well mannered the food was as good as there restaurant this is the restaurant to be at if you want proper Indian cuisine cooked to perfection. Thanks planet spice we'll be back 5 star everytime

Very friendly Staff and lovely food.

We arrived on the dot for our booking, shown to table then ignored for 20 mins. no drinks order taken until we grabbed someone. 20 mins later starters ok but cold. we ordered three house specials with different descriptions, we couldn't tell them apart as the spice rack must have fallen in the pot as it was just a confusion of flavours and anonymous red sauce. rice portions are about three desert spoons worth max so we had to order extra. meals average, nothing interesting or made us go wow or want to order again. middle of our meal they started clearing up the table and clattering cutlery and plates. As we were served so late after the food order was taken, we were about 2.5 hours into the evening when they asked for desert order, we just laughed and asked for the bill as they literally turning the lights off. One friendly older member of staff, guy who took our order favoured cold efficiency over friendliness, no hint of recommending dishes, 'its all on the menu'...... as you can tell, we not going back.

Great curry they even made it a little bit less spicy for me.

Excellent food and service probably one of the best curries I’ve ever had , great spicing and the chicken so tender beats anything I’ve had on curry mile in Rusholme . If your in this neck of the woods and like Indian don’t miss out on this place.

What can I say and what a find this was on our last night in Hemsby, the food is the best Indian I’ve ever tasted, quality food and ingredients, all cooked to perfection, this is going to take some beating, if this place was in Macclesfield 😀 I’d be there every week , thank you

This is our favourite indian when staying in Norfolk, great service and lovely food. The place is always busy so best to book. Family friendly. We will be back, keep up the good work.

We went on a Wednesday evening at 5pm and the atmosphere was good even at that time, the food was exceptional, arrived piping hot with very friendly waiters.. highly recommended

Lost for words really, one absolutely no idea how this place is scoring so highly?! Starters were greasy and bland, mains generic and pretty tasteless with overcooked tough prawns, naan was bland and doughy. The worst thing though was the drinks, how the hell can a pint of Coke be £5.25 and a pint of Kopperberg be 50p less??? Outrageous.

We chose Planet Spice for a vegan takeaway and it was very good. Many of the dishes could be adapted to suit vegans and the staff were able to tell us the dishes that could not be altered.

Went here with relatives for great nieces 18th birthday dinner. Have been here before many years aga and was impressed then. This time was even better. Best Curry I have had, service was excellent and the ambience was brilliant. I'll be back!!!

Me and friends decided to try somewhere new and decided on planet spice. We were very glad we made this choice as wow! Firstly you are welcomed by the staff who are very friendly. The resteraunt is decorated really well and you get high end curry house vibes. Excellent selection of food on the menu the staff give a great explanation of what the meals are. The food was insanely good I mean top 3 best Indians I've had no question. Food is not expensive the staff held the door open when we went top quality servixe.

Had a chicken tikka pathia takeaway Nice but chicken a bit dry. Gave some free poppadoms.

Were on holiday for a few days for a birthday read some reviews thought we would try here was really pleased we did the food was gorgeous everything we had was really nice the service was excellent was made to feel extremely welcome will definitely be back

Food and services was lovely, was 1st time here and would definitely return. We was seated at what looked a table in middle of room, door was constantly opening and shutting with people for takeaways, felt like I was being watched hrs while I ate. Really put me off and uncomfortable. I will ask for a nicer table. Also got charged for 2 lots of mango chutney when only 1 came. Didn’t know there would be a charge this.

Another excellent meal we haven’t had chance to call in this year but wow still brilliant looking forward to many more visits through the year always busy here but they fitted us in many thanks for our memorable evening

Took my Wife to Planet Spice for her Birthday meal while we were staying in Horsey, the service was superb & the food was amazing, neither of us are experts on Indian cuisine but it was certainly the best we have ever had & finished off my Wife's special birthday perfectly!

Had lots of Indian meals but had one here while on holiday the very best lamb rogan josh I've ever tasted .. food and service 1st class .. luckily for me going to visit Scratby later in the year and Planet Spice definately on the list to visit

Funky little number tucked away in a quiet village. Greeted by Naz and received excellent service from the front of house team. Food packed a punch too! I think I have found my new favourite curry house.

Had a really nice meal here. All of the food was fresh and hot with lots of flavour. I had the garlic special and coconut rice. Naan bread was homemade and deliciously soft. I would go again but I would ask for my dish to be such more spicer as there was little to no spice.

We did a collection order, the atmosphere welcoming and professional when we collected. Food was honestly the best curry I have had in a long time, fresh, warming and highly enjoyable. I will be looking forward to the next time I visit the area again to eat from here again

We live in the centre of France and can’t get curry there. We always look forward to visiting relatives in Great Yarmouth. so we can have curry from Planet Spice. We had a takeaway tonight and, as usual, it was excellent. I really can’t fault the place. The staff are always welcoming, the service is great and the food is delicious. Can’t wait for our next visit.

Only one word for this one, Amazing. Firstly the staff are welcoming and attentive to everything you need. The quality and selection on the menu is outstanding. The portion size are generous too. The restaurant is well decorated and immaculately clean. Regardless if you are eating in or taking out you will have a great experience. Fantastic job guys!

Nice place, very classy, and the food is full of flavor. It is very authentic and delicious. They are a bit stingy with beverages, it seems, so if you are eating extra spicy, you might want to bring backup hydration. The popadom appetizer and Naan were absolutely amazing. Overall, I would go again for the high-quality dining experience. A 👍

Planet spice has always been the best but last night I was a little disappointed, the madras I had lacked spicy heat and the portions have shrunk, not enough sauce to cover the rice. Please planet spice go back to the 4* it’s always been

We visited on a Tuesday night after ringing and booking a table earlier in the evening. Good job we did,the place was very busy. The food in here is some of the best Indian restaurant food I've ever had,and I'm from the Midlands and been eating it for over 40 years lol. Anyway,thanks to the guys and owner for a great night and fantastic food. Will defo be back when we are in the area.

We booked for a Thursday evening and found the restaurant quite busy. Had one of the best Indian meals with good service and friendly staff.

Picked because of good revues. Nice decor, plenty parking. Table for two found. Kingfisher and cobra on tap. Waiter could not answer simple question on basic saag dish. I ordered chicken rezela, restaurant special according to menu. Breast chicken overcooked, dry, thrown in with cream and tossed with raw onions and pepper is not a dish I recognize. Garlic chilli nan good but raw garlic apparent on taste. Not particularly edifying meal.

I'm local and have been coming here for a few years. Food is lovely, even with a massive menu, as is the atmosphere. The standout quality is the service though which is genuinely outstanding. I've worked in the catering industry for years, and I am always impressed at the front of house team at Planet Spice.

Absolutely incredible food! The most delicious Indian I've had! The onion bhaji were not dry! The naan was moist and nice! The food had plenty of flavours and portion sizes are very generous! We will certainly be using this Indian again, the prices are average, they do a discount if you take away. Awesome Indian.

Absolutely incredible! First time myself, husband and son have tried the restaurant and we ordered a takeaway. I’ve eaten a lot of Indian food in my life and this was by far the best, beautifully cooked, hot (temperature) tastiest I’ve ever had. We live near Acle, but we will never use dream of using the local Indian ever again as Planet Spice tonight was another level. Fantastic! We can’t wait to come with family and friends to have a sit in meal as the restaurant inside was clean, smart, beautifully decorated and the staff are wonderful, friendly and attentive. 10/10 congratulations on a perfect Indian restaurant /takeaway. The food was amazing and the staff were very attentive, it was our 39th wedding anniversary my husband mentioned it to a lovely gentleman and at the end of our meal he gave us a drink each which I thought lovely.

This is a lovely restaurant. My wife and I went here on our wedding anniversary. We were very warmly welcomed. We had booked a table, which was just as well as the restaurant was quite busy - always a good sign! Once shown to our table, the staff were very friendly, attentive and polite. The tables are not too close together so one does not feel crowded. The menu has a wide selection of 'specials'. For starters we both had the King Prawn Puree. For main course I had the chicken Dawat and my wife had chicken Murg Sagrana. Both of these dishes are unique to the restaurant. We accompanied them with Mushroom Rice, Saag Aloo, and Chana Masala. The flavours are subtle and you can ask for the chef to increase or tone down the heat. The meal was delicious. Unusually, it is open 7days a week including bank holidays from 5 - 11 pm. There is a small car park at the back but if full, there is room to park nearby on the road. I highly recommend this exceptional restaurant.

Inside absolutely lovely deco,spotlessly clean and staff friendly and polite.

Great atmosphere within the restaurant, with very authentic decor and ambience. Staff polite and efficient and always floating around if you need something. The food is good but the portion sizes are terrible and I felt ripped off spending over 70 quid for 2 adults and one child. I would say that the curries are way undersized, so was the rice and naans in comparison to many other restaurants all over the uk. I wont be returning unfortunately.
