Super Indian restaurant, which my wife, myself and our friends regularly visit for an evening meal. Large menu of dishes which are always nicely cooked. Excellent service from all staff. Very pleasant atmosphere in which to eat with friends

This place was a total letdown. The waiter was super rude, questioning my drink choice and all. He barely seemed interested in taking our order, let alone making sure we had a good experience. To top it off, the food was a complete miss. I specifically asked for spicy biryani, but it came out cold, bland, and with barely a hint of spice. When I politely mentioned this to the waiter, he just shoved a plate of chilies at me and walked away. Like, I don't want to make my own spicy food, I came to a restaurant for a reason! It wasn't any better when they brought out replacements. The biryani was still bland and the portions were tiny. It tasted worse than a frozen supermarket meal! The whole experience felt like a waste of time and money. On top of everything, the table was dirty when we sat down, and the staff seemed more concerned with their phones than with their customers. It was a total mess, and it completely ruined what could have been a nice evening out. Needless to say, I won't be going back there anytime soon, and I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone.

Decided to go to this restaurant to celebrate my daughter's birthday and we as a family, I was really unhappy with the reception and the atmosphere at this restaurant from it's staff .. There was no good customer service as you'd expect and I was appauled by any of them who are waiters at this establishment . By asking one of the waiters who met my wife , son and daughter who I kindly requested that a cake especially for my daughter as a surprise for her - I was blanked out by the waiter who just took the cake from me - who just walked away with it without saying a word who just left it behind the bar and not to the kitchen as I had requested .. I was not shown to where the rest of my family were who arrived at this place like you'd be at any other restaurant as you'd be expected to ... As soon as my family and I joined my rest of my family who were there before I arrived a waiter asked me if we would like starters like poppadoms etc which we declined as we just arrived there.. This was really awkward for me and my family .. Next the waiter came round and asked us if we would like drinks We decided to have water , ice and lemon in a jug but was given a jug of water with no lemon or ice .Four glasses were just put on my table .....no customers service at all I was thinking at that time to walk out of the restaurant with this type of behaviour from the staff here ...but couldn't due to my daughters birthday... When I requested for a coca-cola for my daughter I was questioned rudely why do I need a coca-cola with my water. I always thought that I could request anything providing that I pay for it along with my meal after ..I weren't happy with this I requested from the menu of four chicken biryanis for my son , wife, daughter and myself ...with the relevant sauces of certain tolerance of spices . All biryanis were bland , no sauces, and the way I had requested. I was told by a waiter that the biryani that I had requested has the spices which it didn't ... The main meals were tasteless as if it's a meal from a supermarket just really bland ... I was even asked by the waiter who was supposedly looking after us -why do I need my biryani and side dish madras hot Again this was really unprofessional by this restaurant . I even had to go and request my final bill from the bar where all the staff was busy watching the Euro football on TV I was really rushed to finish my meal .... Staff even started to clean and clear the tablecloths that were dirty whilst my family were finishing our meal I'll not be coming here any more ... just to keep others to be aware of this Keep away from this restaurant to save being embarrassed by these people who run this restaurant I rate this restaurant as 0/100 Places like this should be shut indefinately

Great food and lovely staff. A must if your after a take away or to eat in.

With six members of our family we celebrated our farewell trip. The food was excellent and the choice of dishes was very big, one gets confused. We all enjoyed what we had. The service was very good and the staff were friendly, particularly Syed Amdad. The wine list was also great but I would have liked a better choice of beers, apart from the two Indian beers offered. I shall definitely recommend it.

The Pavillion is very good but I find the drinks rather expensive but other than that it is good.

My dad and I had a brilliant meal here to celebrate my first week of work. The service was phenomenal, everyone was so welcoming. The food was simply delicious, genuinely one of the best curries we've had in a while. Will definitely return again!

Best chicken tikka ever and superb service

We had a great evening. The decor is lovely and the tables have privacy. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the food was delicious!

I ordered from JustEat. 1st order arrived, inch thick with fat, and cold. I rang the restaurant who agreed to replace. I ask the delivery driver to wait whilst checked. It was worse than previous. Even the driver said " I wouldn't eat that". I did get a refund, but it come back as I cancelled order so unable to leave bad review. The person I spoke to at the restaurant didn't care. I had to ask if I had just woken him up! This is the first bad review I have ever left!

The best welcome of any restaurant in the local area and great service. The food is always good and very good value. A great favourite for the kids, not least because of the sweets that come with the bill.

Me and my family went there 1st time using my tastecard to get 50% off food. Food was small portioned and overpriced. When paying the bill they only gave us £10 off and not 50% what they offered on tastecard. The waiter did not want to see my tastecard. Never setting foot in that restaurant again. They took advantage of us being out of town folks and with children. Waiter was persistant to order what he usually has at the restaurant.

Where to start so much to say, i’ve been to so many restaurants but this has to be the worst restaurant i’ve ever been . as soon as we entered at 9:00pm we were told chef is going to leave can you order quick before we could sit down food was watery waiters were miserable onion bhaji was off. didn’t bothererd to ask how was the food started. As we were eating they turned the music off started wiping the cutleries making noises i will never go back in my lifetime

The food is delicious as always with amazing chefs and staff serving you in the restaurant. The place is normally very quiet with few people and is a very good place for a quiet night out.

Wont be going back, no mint sauce instead something they called mint sauce, the king prawn puree was really oily and the mains bland. Shame I was looking forward to a nice meal.

Good service even when busy. Complimentary drink at end of meal. Restaurant is in the middle of village and despite no dedicated parking it is easy to find somewhere nearby.

Absolute brilliant time. Phoned up. Booked us straight in. Top notch food. Had a nut allergy and accommodated me just fine. Was a great experience. No fraught beer at that time but had a bottled beer was really cold and refreshing. Lovely staff livery food well done chef. Needs a massive pat on the back. Highly recommend. Well done team!

Well what a disappointment! Booked a table as soon as it was possible to enjoy dinner with a friend at this lovely looking restaurant. However we were seated at 1 of 4 tables with no cover. After asking from arrival for an umbrella or to move seats no other solution was provided other than to sit and eat your dinner in the pouring rain. Other tables were being vacated so we asked a waitress if we could move and she said yes, but the manager came over to us to call us liars and that we had moved ourselves and that they needed the table. Quoting Covid law but then proceeding to reseat a neighbouring table (!) we were treated with rudeness, by a hypocritical manager who was unhelpful and intimidating with no idea of customer service. How can you be in the service industry and not know the basics?! Clearly they are just there to shove as many tables in for a quick £ but not interested in providing good service or an enjoyable experience.The gyoza I had were good but the Thai curry I ordered was full of uncooked potatoes, not much flavour.I would not go back there as they haven’t got a clue, seems like a case of skin deep beauty but no substance - what a shame!

My local, always receive good service, plenty of choice from a varied menu, would recommend.

Had a takeaway, took it home and when I opened the bag I thought I ordered soup, my Chicken Tikka Balti was like water and my wife’s dish was full of oil. It was inedible with no flavour whatsoever, truly awful. Do yourself a favour and go to Markyate Spice instead.

Came here to see 2 Tone act. They are brilliant singers and entertainers. The restaurant is fairly large so they can walk around between the tables as they sing. The food is excellent, plentiful and well presented. Everybody there had a good time and were dancing away to the sounds.

The decor is lovely. We were seated in a little booth that had been made private with pretty voiles hanging from the ceiling to make each little table of two its own personal space which was actually lovely as sometimes you can feel like you are sitting a little too close to strangers. Sadly, the poppadoms weren't great & the chutneys were awful. There was no usual mint yogurt sauce, which for me was very disappointing as it's my favourite dip, what was in its place was reddish in colour & fiery as f@#k 🔥 😤 I ordered a tikka masala which was bright, bright red, it was like the base of the masala sauce without any cream in it...?? It tasted lovely, BUT, the sauce was non existent & for me that was the deal breaker! My excitement for having a curry is dipping my peshwari naan into my tikka sauce & that just didn't happen 😢 although i must say the naan was also beautifully cooked. All in all the taste of the food was nice (apart from the dips) but the quantity & preparation of the main meal was strange, we did go on a meerkat meals night so I suspect if you are a full paying customer you will probably get a proper meal, but value for money this was not! Shame 😔

We used to go here before discovering Cafe Massala in Eaton bray. Came here for years but wow !! What a shame . The food was delivered luke warm and it was simply terrible. Worst curry I’ve ever had anywhere and that’s sad as the Pavillion was incredible a few years ago . Virtually no meat in the Keema nans , my wife’s Rogan was more like a clear soup rather than a rich thick sauce . The cheese in the Sag Paneer was chewy and almost hard . I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN and that’s sad from a curry house that used to be amazing .

Fantastic Sunday buffet. If you can't see a vegetable dish you like, ask them...they will probably make it for you. The buffet is mostly meat dishes.

Great food, great price and a great service

We've been coming here for years on the Tuesday Banquet Night, and it never disappoints. Great food in a modern relaxed restaurant. Service is always excellent, delivered by friendly and knowledgable staff. They will always recommend a dish to your tastes if required. Highly recommended.

I was out with my friends deciding what i want eat and we wanted to eat at his place called the pavilion. we go and surprising the place was super clean and looked fancy. there was a variety of different foods to eat and they were delicious no lie. i went there the next 2 or 3 weeks and to my no surprise the food was nice. the shop had something new all the time and i love when you can have a chance to try something new. this buffet is good because if you decide what you get you don't like just get something else as it is a buffet. i recommend going to the buffet and this restaurant can be for anyone.i sooooooo recommend

From the age of 19 making me now the age of 30 I have been repeatedly coming to this outstanding restaurant and have been having such an amazing time with my family, the waiters are very friendly the service is amazing to the point where they give us complimentary liquors. I went there with my family.I love curry.We ordered two sets plus 3 poppadoms .I had lamb dish and had to removed stuff from my mouth twice which mean do not returning there.Lamb was so chewy I just could not eat it plus all dished had lot of grease there.Waiter was throwing cutlery on the table rather then kindly place.On the end it turn uo they charge us 5 pounds for 3 poppadoms!!!Not surprised place was empty in Sunday evening .Disappointing wont come back

Wow guys what a great night. Great food as always and without even requesting it a plate of food suitable for a recently diagnosed diabetic arrived in front of me now that’s what you call service !!!!! We enjoyed a lovely evening celebrating my daughters graduation, great round table in a booth. The food and drink all really nice with pleasant and efficient service. A round of complimentary drinks at the end and my daughter presented with a bottle of Prosecco to take home. Thanks for a lovely night and the discount through Tastecard.

My family and I had a takeaway from the Pavilion on the Saturday night just gone. Unfortunately, to my surprise, the food was exceptionally disappointing.

Food wasn't great, had a chicken tikka tawa that was closer to a fajita then a curry. Basmati rice was clearly uncle Ben's, best bit of the meal was the sweets at the end and leaving. To be fair the kids chicken nuggets and chips ain't bad.

Been a while since I’ve been there for several reasons it was getting a bit grubby

The Pavillion is our favorite place in the village. Our last visit was for their 20th birthday celebration. Because of the birthday, first drinks were free and there was %25 discount. Such a nice thought! We had an amazing dinner. The staff is always very helpful and kind. The food is always fresh and tasty! Highly recommend!

I went with a party of 4 people . It was 6.30 . The restaurant was empty . They had a buffet night on or you could have a banquet! . We chose Banquet. That’s when the evening took a turn . They obviously wanted us to have the buffet and were put out that we didn’t . The food came cold . And was reheated in a microwave so there was oil dripping of the dishes . When we complained the service got so bad that the waiter ended up half hearted apology. The food was so so when it wasn’t cold and full of oil . At the same time there was another couple waiting for food and there’s also was inedible . When they complained the waiter said to them that the locals in the village like the food so they don’t have to rely on passing trade . We left and do did the other couple going to the fish and chip shop across the road . Awful just awful . Don’t waist your time or money . Service and food horrible.

I am a regular here both dining in and takeaway, and have visited the Pavillion for almost 3 years (since moving to the village). There are three other Indian restaurants in the area but this is BY FAR the best. The food is cooked superbly, and tastes amazing. The manager is a nice guy too, and all his staff very attentive. Please visit here, you WONT be disappointed.

One thing you can guarantee about the Pavillion is that the food will be well cooked, the menu choices ideal for most indian food lovers and the team are just great, friendly and helpful in preparing something a bit different from time to time. We just love it, as do most of our friends and family.
