Absolute brilliant time. Phoned up. Booked us straight in. Top notch food. Had a nut allergy and accommodated me just fine. Was a great experience. No fraught beer at that time but had a bottled beer was really cold and refreshing. Lovely staff livery food well done chef. Needs a massive pat on the back. Highly recommend. Well done team!

Well what a disappointment! Booked a table as soon as it was possible to enjoy dinner with a friend at this lovely looking restaurant. However we were seated at 1 of 4 tables with no cover. After asking from arrival for an umbrella or to move seats no other solution was provided other than to sit and eat your dinner in the pouring rain. Other tables were being vacated so we asked a waitress if we could move and she said yes, but the manager came over to us to call us liars and that we had moved ourselves and that they needed the table. Quoting Covid law but then proceeding to reseat a neighbouring table (!) we were treated with rudeness, by a hypocritical manager who was unhelpful and intimidating with no idea of customer service. How can you be in the service industry and not know the basics?! Clearly they are just there to shove as many tables in for a quick £ but not interested in providing good service or an enjoyable experience.The gyoza I had were good but the Thai curry I ordered was full of uncooked potatoes, not much flavour.I would not go back there as they haven’t got a clue, seems like a case of skin deep beauty but no substance - what a shame!

Brilliant restaurant as always! Ignore the winging review ! The food is so fresh and people so friendly. Ordered a takeaway for my birthday and they delivered with a bottle of wine for me! So thoughtful. Daughter loves it there too. Carol 😊

Had a takeaway, took it home and when I opened the bag I thought I ordered soup, my Chicken Tikka Balti was like water and my wife’s dish was full of oil. It was inedible with no flavour whatsoever, truly awful. Do yourself a favour and go to Markyate Spice instead.

Came here to see 2 Tone act. They are brilliant singers and entertainers. The restaurant is fairly large so they can walk around between the tables as they sing. The food is excellent, plentiful and well presented. Everybody there had a good time and were dancing away to the sounds.

We used to go here before discovering Cafe Massala in Eaton bray. Came here for years but wow !! What a shame . The food was delivered luke warm and it was simply terrible. Worst curry I’ve ever had anywhere and that’s sad as the Pavillion was incredible a few years ago . Virtually no meat in the Keema nans , my wife’s Rogan was more like a clear soup rather than a rich thick sauce . The cheese in the Sag Paneer was chewy and almost hard . I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN and that’s sad from a curry house that used to be amazing .

We've been coming here for years on the Tuesday Banquet Night, and it never disappoints. Great food in a modern relaxed restaurant. Service is always excellent, delivered by friendly and knowledgable staff. They will always recommend a dish to your tastes if required. Highly recommended.

I was out with my friends deciding what i want eat and we wanted to eat at his place called the pavilion. we go and surprising the place was super clean and looked fancy. there was a variety of different foods to eat and they were delicious no lie. i went there the next 2 or 3 weeks and to my no surprise the food was nice. the shop had something new all the time and i love when you can have a chance to try something new. this buffet is good because if you decide what you get you don't like just get something else as it is a buffet. i recommend going to the buffet and this restaurant can be for anyone.i sooooooo recommend

From the age of 19 making me now the age of 30 I have been repeatedly coming to this outstanding restaurant and have been having such an amazing time with my family, the waiters are very friendly the service is amazing to the point where they give us complimentary liquors. I’m looking forward to going there for the next event!

I went there with my family.I love curry.We ordered two sets plus 3 poppadoms .I had lamb dish and had to removed stuff from my mouth twice which mean do not returning there.Lamb was so chewy I just could not eat it plus all dished had lot of grease there.Waiter was throwing cutlery on the table rather then kindly place.On the end it turn uo they charge us 5 pounds for 3 poppadoms!!!Not surprised place was empty in Sunday evening .Disappointing wont come back

Wow guys what a great night. Great food as always and without even requesting it a plate of food suitable for a recently diagnosed diabetic arrived in front of me now that’s what you call service !!!!! We enjoyed a lovely evening celebrating my daughters graduation, great round table in a booth. The food and drink all really nice with pleasant and efficient service. A round of complimentary drinks at the end and my daughter presented with a bottle of Prosecco to take home. Thanks for a lovely night and the discount through Tastecard.

My family and I had a takeaway from the Pavilion on the Saturday night just gone. Unfortunately, to my surprise, the food was exceptionally disappointing.

The Pavillion is our favorite place in the village. Our last visit was for their 20th birthday celebration. Because of the birthday, first drinks were free and there was %25 discount. Such a nice thought! We had an amazing dinner. The staff is always very helpful and kind. The food is always fresh and tasty! Highly recommend!

What an awful experience food was cold and average taste

I am a regular here both dining in and takeaway, and have visited the Pavillion for almost 3 years (since moving to the village). There are three other Indian restaurants in the area but this is BY FAR the best. The food is cooked superbly, and tastes amazing. The manager is a nice guy too, and all his staff very attentive. Please visit here, you WONT be disappointed.

I have been ordering takeaway from the pavilion for a while now and it has always been prefect service / great food.

I visit every week this places sister restaurant in Aston Clinton as I live just down the road and find it outstanding.

As locals, this is still our favourite and the best value Indian restaurant in Markyate. Great food, friendly service and a nice comfortable atmosphere.

One thing you can guarantee about the Pavillion is that the food will be well cooked, the menu choices ideal for most indian food lovers and the team are just great, friendly and helpful in preparing something a bit different from time to time. We just love it, as do most of our friends and family.

Voy regularmente y me encanta cada vez. Tienen el personal más amable que tenemos una buena relación con. Los pav's servicio es fenomenal que buceo a su puerta con la comida y también es siempre cálido. En el raro caso de que olvides algo bueno que pedí, felizmente tienes esa cosa gratis, creo que es muy importante en un restaurante.

A pesar de recientes nueva competencia la comida en el pabellón todavía está bien cocinada y presentada por el personal cortés y amable. Aún la mejor comida india en la zona.

A group of us came here for a birthday celebration. Apart from confusion over drinks when we arrived and slow Service everything else was good. A great selection of dishes on the menu. Food arrived hot and all 8 of us served together. Everyone was pleased with their choices and food seemed good quality.Parking in the area very difficult unless you are lucky enough to 'nab' a space on the high street. Be prepared for walking from the far end of the village.

We were seated in a nice booth as requested for my daughter's birthday. Lovely food and helpful staff, and they even brought her out a slice of cake with a candle at the end. Great night out.

The decor is delightful, ok you don'teat deor but id does help. Attentive staff make the restaurant one where you would like to eat. There is a varied menu with items which are not standard. For me the vegetarian section looked good and the potato dish was very tasty. The big surprise came with the bill, I was offered a short, my choice was whisky, and a good variety of drink was available. The food was good, well presented and complemented the quality of the staff and ambiance.

I come here que often with a large group of friends. We are always very well served and looked after by the excellent staff, the menu is very varied and reasonably priced, the food is tasty although the portions aren't the biggest you've seen and the décor is unobtrusive and suitably lit.I recommend this restaurant highly, and it frequently winning county awards reflects this.

This place is the best Indian restaurant I've ever experienced. The atmosphere is great, very relaxed. We have four young kids but are always made to feel welcome and at home regardless of how much noise and mess they make!! The food is fantastic, whether eating in or take-away and the events they lay on are always good fun. I can highly recommend a visit

Tried the Sunday buffet in a box which was exceptional quality and topped off by the its great value. For £5 for each box I was able to get a box which I could choose what, from the large Sunday buffet, I wanted so I chose the fragrant rice, chicken tikka masala, lamb balti, bombay aloo, sweet and crispy onion bhaji with naan bread. My girlfriend had in her box the potent chicken jalfrezi, rice and lamb balti along with the freshly prepared naan sprinkled with freshly cut onion.Fab value for money, tasty food, nothing is too much trouble (I have a 15 month child and they are so helpful when we take a table) the best Indian restaurant I've been too.

A wide range of food to suit everyone, piping hot and delicious. Staff very obliging and friendly. Nice atmosphere and various tables to suit bigger groups, private booth area's or tables for 2. Thoroughly enjoyable place to eat and meet up with friends and family.

We visit this Indian every month or so when we come to visit family, I've never been to a better one the food is amazing they can never do enough to for you, every request is met with genuine sincerity. They are fantastic with our very fussy children and its extremely well priced . Every other Indian is met with disappointment when measuring next to the pavilions standards! Can't wait to return!

Went out for a family meal, there was 16 of us, I must say the service and the food was absolutely brilliant. They looked after us all evening and we will definitely be returning here again.

What a shame that this well established Restaurant still cant get its act together. It has a captive clientel until a new restaurant is about to open and sadly they seem to have totally forgotten that the menu needs to be constantly refreshed, the service improved and the background music made relevent if they are to keep hold of their loyal customers for much longer.Please guys sort yourselves out!!!

We visit here regularly and always have a lovely meal, service is good and value for money. Sunday buffet is well worth going to, the everyday menu has so many lovely dishes that it's hard to choose!

Visited Sunday to try the buffet for the 1st time.. I have used this curry house for take away numerous times and eaten in the restaurant ordering from the main menu a few times, always with excellent food and service.I was disappointed to say the least with the buffet and fair enough you get what you pay for but the food was bland and nothing at all like the dishes that are served when ordered from the main menu. The starters to be fair were ok but not fresh at all.When the bill came I advised the waiter I wasn't overly impressed to which his response was "it's a buffet what do you expect" I was trying to speak to the waiter (owner or so he said) quietly and discreetly as to not affect other customers. I explained the curry was bland and tasted nothing like the nice curry I have eaten before, he denied this point blank and said its the same curry I've just eaten it out the back. He lacked any sort of customer service skills and just argued every point I raised, then started to raise his voice when I expressed I wasn't happy.Terrible service I asked what how he intended to resolve the issue he kindly took £10 off the bill, something he could have offered from the outset without having an argument about the dry bland curry. When i asked if he was happy with service he's offered he said "well I've taken £10 off the bill anyway" when asked he stated he was the owner which I find hard to believe due to the complete lack of tact or customer service skills. Regular customers lost for the sake of you arguing the fact well done.. Looking forward to trying the new Indian restaurant in the village hopefully they will offer a better standard of both food and service.4 large Coke's £14 too which were served from a £1 2litre bottle served warm with 1 cube of ice and a slice just to add to the awful experience.. Such a shame

Had takeaway for 5 tonight. Very disapppointing. I was really looking forward to my meal, as I have been before and it was always delicious. However nearly all the dishes were tasteless and bland.

Second time now that my husband and I have visited this very attractive restaurant. Both times we only had a limited amount of time which meant there was only time for a main course and some poppadoms but all the food we've had has been delicious and the service very attentive without being intrusive.

Used to be spot on but has nose dived in the last 18 months to a very poor standard.Needs to find its feet again very soon as there is another restaurant about to open
