Cinnamon Lounge in Dacorum

Picked up a quick takeaway on Friday night. Food ready quickly and delicious.

So we have often driven past and fancied giving it a try. We decided to do so last week and overall we were left a little disappointed. The restaurant is dry which we didn’t know but I do like a drought pint with dinner rather than a can from the shop next door. Starters were ample in quantity and the quality was good for a prawn purée and onion bhaji. The disappointment was with the main courses. I ordered a special which was Flamingo (something or other) and it was a plate of rather tasteless tomato sauce with no spice despite the staff telling me it was medium. I ordered it with chicken tikka which was tough and dry. My partner has a chicken dish but again the curry was bland and unexciting. There is very little in the way of ambiance and the paper and paint are peeling off the ceiling and the toilets were unclean. So overall a rather unkempt restaurant with uninspiring food I’m afraid. Not for us and we won’t return. There are much nicer offering elsewhere in the region.

Have you got a new chef?.....very sorry to complain as I have been a loyal customer of yours for years... where has the Murge Makhoni gone too??? please bring it back.... the salad was below average.... only 2 samosa in stead of the usual 3 per serving... the curries were average...veg curry with biriani very oily, lots of sauce in the curries and not much meat.... only 6 pieces in one curry.... dissapointed as I've been coming to you for years...

Went with 2 friends, as hadn't been before and wanted to compare with Cinnamon in Abbots Langley. Waiter was pleasant as was the owner. Liked the real fire even if not on and loved the linen tableware. Food was ok but not great but reasonable cost (£99 for 3). Don't think I'll be back though.

Visiting London, and I am not sure but this was not Indian food... sweet, every main was sweet - names are right but what you deliver is ???. guys, I have no idea why you offer this as you do, maybe it is London style but been eating so much better Indian food. waste of money. I am disappointed 😞

I think this is the top Indian restaurant in the area hands down , food is always great never have any complaints , definitely recommend to everyone

I’m not sure we received what we ordered (a lamb Bhuna and lamb balti) - one was a really watery brown curry which was as spicy as a madras, the other was really tomato-y like a rogan Josh? Ordered from here before and it was lovely so not sure what happened tonight

Bring your own alcohol can help with choice and final bill. The food is lovely and they have some unusual dishes. A lovely old building. Loo a bit tight. Stairs steep. Watch your head.

The food was absolutely superb. Order arrived early (don't know why Just Eat thinks it arriving a bit early is a problem). Excellent.

Food was fine, service good if a bit impersonal. Room was cramped and table small. A bit noisy from next table but not awful. Massive portions.

Delicious, but £1 per popadom is ridiculous

I can't express enough gratitude to the staff always polite and professional. Quality of food is top , fresh, taste so fresh and we'll seasoned. Thank you guys, you're brilliant

We'd planned to go to the tandoori, but when I saw it was just 3 star hygiene doubled back to here with 5 star. And very glad we did. We had the monkfish Tikka Masala with garlic chilli rice and peshawar nan, and the taste was just electric. They were very quiet on a Thursday night, but it's a very nice location and environment, and do I would highly recommend trying them out.

Great curry and bring your own alcohol!

Ordered a take away this evening, first time from the cinnamon Lounge, really disgusting lamb passanda, was floating in water, made me gag, could not eat it, it appeared to have been frozen then re heated, will not order from there a 2nd time. Nasty.

Great food, friendly staff and food was ready for collection.

The food was ordered from the Cinnamon lounge in King's Langley, rather than (as I expected) our local. As a result the food was late and not as I expected. this was not the fault of the staff at Cinnamon Lounge but rather Just Eat

I like the fact that some of the dishes are specialty dishes unique to Cinnamon Lounge as well as the standard indian curry dishes.

Thought we would try them again and enjoyed our meal.

Very nice with dishes that are different from others (although they do have all the usual dishes as well). Lovely flavours with plenty of chicken.

Best Indian takeaway in KL. Lamb E Taqrim was particularly good. Always quality with the meat and the poppadoms are nice and crisp! If open to requests a Black Dal would be wikid :)

I went here with a group (5 of us) and to be honest I probably won't come back. We were seated at just after 7pm, and didn't get our food until gone 8:20pm. We had to ask someone if we could order, and another table's food came out before ours when we had arrived and ordered first. Some dishes are expensive, that I would expect to be about £4-£6 cheaper elsewhere. and our group had quite mixed feelings about the taste of our meals. I liked the choice of meat for each house curry, and opted for a salmon korma. This was quite nice. One person had a biryani but thought it was really bland, and not like others they'd had. Those that had the masala and jalfrezi enjoyed theirs a lot. The onion bhajis I had were really disappointing, being quite mushy and tasteless. The garlic naan bread was great though. When it came to paying we asked to have the service charge removed due to us waiting so long, and having to ask for the bill three times. We also pointed out the other table getting their food before us, despite us waiting and ordering before them. We were told that the reason all of our food took so long was because "the salmon is difficult to cook", which is a really poor excuse. They did eventually take the service charge off.

Super quick delivery and lovely food

Worst meal I have had in years cold restaurant, cold starters and cold mains only people in the restaurant and no one spoke to us for 15 minutes. Sent two mains back! they did take this off the bill but still very disappointed with the service food and the state of the restaurant.

Food was pretty average - not like I remembered it before.

First time eating here and from start to finish was one of the worse meals we have had. Freezing cold restaurant took 25min to get a coke and the onion bhaji was stodgy and soft. Chicken tikka masala had no taste at all and veg biryani was like baby food. Poor service, very cold and food with no flavour at all, sent 90% of it back and when eventually asked how it was they could not give any answer or feedback. So just paid my bill and would never recommend or go back I’m afraid.

Well what can I Say other than 🙏 please please DO NOT!! waste your time going to this place.. the Tiger Prawn starter; I have seen bigger prawns in a prawn cocktail. No flavour at all. The Chicken Tikka tasted like frozen chicken tikka slices you would buy from Tesco. The Chicken Korma was very watery, The table behind were complaining because the starter came out with the main and table next to us, had to ask to numerous times if they could take their order. So of the x3 tables upstairs no one seemed to be happy with the service / quality of food! … Also no alcoholic drinks are served it’s bring your own drinks which is fine but we wasn’t aware till we got there.

Really nice food at a reasonable price BUT, watch the soft drinks, they’re very very expensive plus a substantial service charge is added on which I always find very cheeky. I’d have left a tenner tip but not when it’s added to my bill. Great food though and I would recommend it.

We have had several meals delivered from Cinnamon Lounge and never been disappointed with the quality of the food or service. The menu includes all the normal classic curries but they do have a wide range of specials that are unusual.

Cinnamon Lounge is one of our favourite takeaways that we order from regularly. Our absolute favourite dish is the Dabang - it’s not something you can get anywhere else and is always delicious! Tonight we also decided to try the Pecak, which was lovely with a steaming hot and tasty keema naan and rice. Highly recommend!

Great food - always very tasty (in particular I love the naan bread!). We often order from the Cinnamon lounge and have never had a problem with delivery, always arrives on time and food warm. Would highly recommend this Indian restaurant.

Food was tasty, I ordered hot and it was proper hot. They say you can bring your own drinks so I did. I asked waiter for a glass twice, and I was ignored twice. Bill was higher than expected comparing to menu prices. Overall feeling is not ok.

The just eat app told us the food was going to be delayed 30 minutes. Once that time had been reached the just eat app said the food had arrived - it actually arrived 15 minutes after that and was cold

Quite flavourless and not worth the hour and a bit wait

Lovely food as usual but the rice could do with draining better as I had to mop up quite a bit of liquid and the bottle of drink needs to be kept separate from the food during delivery as it was warm when it arrived. Otherwise lovely food and I’m now stuffed from eating too much!

Order vegetable byriani last night- it was horrible not only it wasn't fresh it was also not cooked properly some veggies ware hard there was no flavour taste or anything to be honest the potatoes ware soggy they warent fresh at all it also gave me stomach ache this was the worst indian cousin dish ive ever had! Won't be going back! I only had a little bit and chucked it in a bin the whole dish! Disgusting and waste of money!

Order was late, food quality was ok but they sent the wrong dish so we had to wait 25 min for the new one to be delivered, give back the old one so by the time everything had happened we had gone off the idea of a take away!

Came here as I’m in the area on business. The food was great. I ordered a lamb tandoori dish and two vegetarian sides. Really good quality. They don’t serve alcohol but you can bring your own.

Very good meal and service. We loved the vegetarian naga and the signature dish (lamb). The owners were very chill and did not force us to consume and spend more (it has happened in other restaurants). Would be very happy to go back again.

The star rating do not show real quality. Food are very good . We are regular customers and we are love it. But yesterday we was in shock. My wife find piece of cement render in the bread Luckily she didn't bite in to it... SHOCKING!!!

Come here tonight with my fiancée for my 50th. First time we have tried this place after reading some reviews. Was not disappointed at all. Tried two of their special dishes and they were both outstanding. Yes you have to bring your own alcohol 🍸 🍺 but that's a great touch plus without the added cost of drinks, just pop next door to Spar andbuy your own. Will come again most definitely

Use cinnamon lounge often but the takeaway was awfull this evening both curry’s had zero flavour duck was wildly over cooked only positive was the naan even the aloo gobi was cold. Very disappointed

Tremendous food, popped in here on the off chance, at the end of the evening. They very happily served us (we were the only diner's by this point) but, boy the food was good. I shall be visiting again very soon, but earlier. Thanks to the staff.

Fascinating 500 year old building with lots of character. Food was totally enjoyable with a clear emphasis on taste rather than spices. Excellent hosts! An added bonus was that you could bring your own alcohol - the Spar next door sold a good range of reasonably priced wines. Would certainly go again.

Cinnamon Lounge are an outstanding restaurant for their service and delivery - but most importantly the food is extraordinarily delicious. The menu is really interesting and varied - with really distinctive specials and some different ingredients compared to most places. The mixed starter is generous and tasty and one personal recommendation would be the Mogul's return!
