Wonderful pub and brilliant landlord. Music on Weds in their epic gig room. Large outdoor bit so ideal for dogs. Looks like they have lots of events and stuff on - just a shame we live four hours away and are only visiting as we are on the campsite over the road. They don’t serve food but allow you to bring in food from the excellent takeaway place next door. If ever you’re near Banham you need to visit this place.

The barrels catered for my sons wake in February 2019 , they did a lovely spread of food for everyone they made us all feel welcome and believe me their was a lot of people but they managed it very professionally. Nice food great choice of alcoholic beverages and beer extremely happy with how well they done . If your wondering why it took me so long to write this review it was my sons wake and Iv only just came back to a sane mind and wanted to thank them ! Extremely friendly welcoming pub with great food ! Try it for yourselves you won’t regret it peeps

Traditional pub grub done well! This pub is open early for the lunch crowd with 2 for 1 lunch specials. Dinner patrons won't be disappointed either with generous portions and gracious prices.

We visited here Saturday night on their opening weekend as we had relatives in the area. It is now a pub that will do good family pub food soon we were informed. The new landlord and landlady are a very friendly couple and introduced themselves as Malcolm and Margaret, they made time to speak to everyone and make you feel valued as a customer. The drinks were well priced and the bar staff were polite and friendly, I gather from the conversation with the new landlords that the place had a cloudy reputation in the past which they seemed determined to shed and turn it into a family pub and community hub . The place looks brand new inside and has obviously been fully refurbished. The band they had booked were entertaining and we felt comfortable even with our 2 year old with us. Won't hesitate to visit again when next in the area.

We were out for a walk and called into this public house for a quick drink before heading back to our hotel. Nice friendly people running this pub. Football game was in full swing when we arrived but got served quickly. Atmosphere was good. Only down side was the general cleanliness of the tables and chairs which looked as though they could do with a good wash or at least a dust. We didn't eat here so cannot comment on the food, but what we saw of others eating, it looked fine.

My wife and I thought we'd give the pub a try as we wanted to savour the Indian food that it serves. The pub itself is an estate-based establishment and is lacking in any real character. The food is freshly cooked so there is a bit of a wait for orders. I was not particularly impressed with the cuisine. The food was rather greasy and lacked flavour. There are certainly other places in the town that offer better Indian food in a better environment.

I've heard a few things about The Barrels from friends and decided to go and have a look for myself with the family. Located on the outskirts of Luton, this is a large pub owned and run by Indians, the food is stunning, and presented well. This place is not a restaurant but a good pub that sells great food. There are 6 screens to watch an array of different sporting fixtures. You need to order your food at the bar, but it is delivered to the table. We had the mix grill, compromising of chicken tikka, Sheek kebabs and tandoori wings, all served on a bed of onions which are on to of a very hot sizzler. We were left alone to enjoy our food and only called upon to see if we needed any further drinks. The curries are authentic and taste just like home. Overall a great place with a great atmosphere.

Ordered a takeaway. I think the chef must have spilled a whole pot of chilli powder into the biriyanis! They were inedible. Bombay potatoes were good. Korma was too sweet. Very disappointing.
