Ashiyana in Luton

This restaurant has only let themselves down after two deliveries in the last few months arrived with the incorrect rice, clearly specified in the order... After waiting an hour for delivery, I had to drive to the restaurant to exchange the order and by the time I was finished, I had to reheat the entire order... Restaurants really do need to pay attention to additional/specific instructions mentioned in the order due to potential food allergies... It wasn't long ago that an indian restaurant owner got jailed after killing someone who had a nut allergy, which was specified in the additional requirements... Luckily, this isn't a case of an allergy, just a preference... The food at Ashiyana is good, as well as the price, but I really don't like being messed around so I won't be ordering from here again... Perfect example of how to lose regular, repeat customers...

Best place to get a curry in Luton! Staff is always polite, food is extremely tasty and very reasonable! Will return and highly recommend

Went for a work meal on Thursday last week. Staff very friendly and handle any issues in a timely and polite manner. Food was amazing. The owner went out of his way to make the evening an enjoyable one all round.

This is the takeaway to have. Food is always nice. Fresh and a lot of flavour. Always arrives hot and fast delivery. You can call up and ask any questions about new dishes that you would like to try. They will always do there best to explain what it is and what it has in it. The people who work there are super friendly very polite nothing to much for them. I used to order from here years but I moved out the area. But we have just moved back and it was the 1st place we ordered from. As it was just as good as it was before. Thank you for filling are bellys with lovely food. I have never eaten inside but it's definitely on are list for dinner out. Thank you again 100% to this take way not a bad word to say about it

We can here because of the reviews. We are staying in the area for 1 night because we are going on holiday and the place we stayed is close to airport. The staff are so friendly and was happy to tell us about the area. The place is clean tidy and looks so beautiful. The food is to absolutely die for. The portion size is fantastic and the taste is amazing. Its very affordable and the staff told us they do discounts for the local area. If I lived closer I would be here every week but if I fly from Luton airport again I will be coming back here for food. Sathir and Riyad were amazing hosts and I couldn't have asked for more pleasant and welcoming people. Keep up the good work and thank you very much.

A quiet Monday evening. The waiter was very good. The tandoori chef was cooking and he did an excellent job. They don't serve alcohol but you can bring your own or buy from the shop next door. The food was crisp and flavoursome not greasy and over sauced. From our experience this evening I would say Ashyana deserves to be busier!

From the moment me and my partner entered this restaurant we felt a very warm welcome even though it was our first time here. The ambience and atmosphere was perfect. The chairs was comfortable (coming from someone who has back pains) and the tables nicely dressed in white linen. We got given our menus the and the waiter gave us popadums with an excellent selection of dips (try their tasty mint sauce it's different from most other Indian restaurants). Our drinks was prepared fresh and at our table within moments. We ordered king prawn puree, mixed grill, lamb biryani with dal and a side of aloo gobi. They didn't skimp on the portion sizes nor the amount of prawn/chicken/lamb. Everything tasted amazing and very fresh. As my partner finished her glass of mango lassi, the waiter had carefully brought over a glass of water and we didn't even have to ask (read my partners mind well). Very professional and attentive to their customers. Would highly recommend.

This is the first visit and the first time I have tried the food in this restaurant with my daughter today. We had Ashiyana Mixed Kebab for a starter, for main dishes we had Seafood mix, Ashiyana special, Cheesy Chicken Tikka Palak curries and for side dishes we had Daal Massala curry, Special Fried Rice, Chilli and Lime Rice, Keema Naan and Chilli and Onion Naan and for drinks we had Mango lassi and some popadoms gor savouries. The food was very tasty and delicious. Took most of the food home as we couldn’t finish it. This small but excellent Indian restaurant and Papaj’s put all other big Indian restaurants in Luton to shame when it comes to Indian food. I will definitely visit this restaurant again. I am very surprised that the chefs in this restaurant have not won any cooking awards for their food. They definitely deserve awards and recognition for their cooking. A big thank you to the management and staff of this restaurant for today. You will definitely see me again.

Over the years I have visited several Indian Restaurants and at first I thought it was going to be another run of the mill one, as soon as I sat down and looked at the menu I changed my mind. Staff, helpful and polite ready to be of assistance if needed Meal, OMG so good from the Lamb Chop as a starter to the Duck Monsoon it was so tasty. I traveled 200 miles to visit friends who took us here, so worthwhile and yes will be visiting again

Delivery - Very fresh and hot on arrival, turned up exactly on time. They did a half portion for my son (thank you) and everything was delicious. We will definitely be ordering again :)

Went here for my birthday meal out with the family, love the bring your own alcohol , great idea. Great menu and good service and the food was delicious. Highly recommend the sizzling Tandoori Prawns and the pulled lamb and King Prawn Puri . Will ve going back to sample somemore.

A menu with some interesting curries on it, which you wouldn't get elsewhere. Love the Keema Dostana. They don't serve alcohol so take your own down. It means an inexpensive meal. Very pleasant owner who looks after his customers. We'll worth a visit.

Disappointed with Lies on Delivery. Rang to see where my order was when 15 mins late and was told driver left 5 mins earlier. 15 mins later I called to ask where delivery was and person started talking to driver when eventually delivered driver rang doorbell and ran away not a way to treat a Customer

Took my mother out for a birthday dinner (she loves Indian food). The service was amazing, the food exceptional (they even treated her to a free dessert when learning it was her birthday). Since that first visit, she has had several family gatherings and is a regular user of their takeaway service. Fantastic restaurant, great staff, even better food.

This is really a hidden jewel ❤️ lovely friendly staff . Warm , comfortable and clean . And the food so authentic and tasty 😋 and lots off it ! If that was not enough to go there ! You can bring your own wine 🍷 and no corkage charge . Parking out the front 👍 and no loud larger louts ( that we get in the town centre restaurants ) 👍❤️ will definitely be back and recommend ❤️👍🥂x

Curries all taste the same and bland. I've had food from here before and it's just hit and miss. The restaurants' interior is very tacky and dated. If the food was 10/10 then the decor wouldn't matter so much but overall it's just tasteless and typical looking Indian restaurant.

Ordered a superb take away that was delivered faster than expected I whole heartedly recommend you try the salmon tikka main course- I love it with the egg rice

Awful food. Everything tastes the same. All of the dishes have the same gravy which tastes like they were cooked a week before. Poor customer service and arrogant owner. Don’t both waste your money on imitation food.

If you want authentic authentic Indian food this is not the place they use sweet and sour source for their chilly paneer I've never been to Indian take out and received Chinese tasting food before and it is not nice to say the least, they apologized on the phone and said that's the ways they do it but they are the only Indian restaurant with Chinese tasting curry 🤦‍♂️ please avoid or just get yourself a Chinese as that what it will taste like anyway 🤦‍♂️

We had a very nice meal here and very covid friendly. The front of house sat us at our table and took our details as well as our temperature, shows they are very aware. The host was really friendly but not in an over powering way. If you haven't been before you can not buy alcohol with your meal but they allow you to bring you your own at no charge. We used to have deliveries from here but stopped because they started to go down hill but after tonight we will certainly be making this our regular again.

Just had a lovely meal with the government scheme. They checked our temperature and made sure they had our details. Food was hot and tasty and staff very attentive. Would go again.

Ordered my first delivery from this place,what can l say,the food was absolutely amazing,l have ordered curries for years,this has to be the best,piping hot and delivered early,very polite delivery guy 👍

I was very happy with the food. Normally we go to two other Indian restaurants/takeaways but we fancied a change. We didn't eat in but got take away via the just eat app. We were not disappointed one bit. The food was amazing. The spices and seasoning ratio was spot on and the food was not bland. I'd recommend this place to anyone that wants a real tasty and authentic Indian. The only suggestion I'd have for the take away service is that with the poppadoms dips you don't get a lot in them, maybe a little bit more of the sauce in the pots. Other than that I can't fault this place for its take away. I guess the next step now is to eat in.

We have been to this resturant four times and its probably Lutons best kept secret. Realy good food at a very good price and excellent staff. Going again soon.

We used to use this restaurant regularly up to about a year ago and the prices skyrocketed so we stopped using. We tried a curry last night Korma and a masala and they were both awful the nan was thick and doughy so to be sure we wont be returning anytime soon.

I ordered a takeaway from this restaurant and starters which consisted of popadums, mint dip, mango dip and onion salad. The onion salad was pathetic! Two tiny bags of poor quality onion, for which they charged 65p each. The mint dip was bright green - a most unusual colour which tasted awful. The chicken in the curries was very hard to chew and really dry. Really disappointing food and I will NOT be going back, Overall, the food was too expensive and of poor quality!

I understand this place has been taken over in recent months and what great food! Everything we had between the 6 of us was top notch. The service and personal touch were brilliant. I will certainly my go again

My wife and I visited here on Christmas Eve for something different, before the Christmas Day usual and were very surprised. We told some friends and they are now regular visitors.

This is a wonderful restaurant, five of us were there this January and the food we ordered was wonderful, the customer service is second to none, the second time we went was even better nine of us tried all kinds of dishes, absolutely excellent.

Ordinarily, we typically order take-away, but thought we'd sit in for a treat and I'm so glad we did. We were the first to sit in the restaurant, and considering the snow outside, it was still pretty chilly inside, The room was also a tad too darkly lit for our liking, but to be honest, the experience was all about the food and service.

Being a Lutonian, I have tried many of the town's various curry houses and am a bit of a curry snob! Ashiyana was recommended by a family member and I was slightly dubious as it doesn't sell alcohol.

I ordered a take away last night as I had a bit of a cold and needed something tasty to eat. Well they didn't disappoint it was full of flavour and not greasy like some curries. The nana bread were really big and lots of meat in the dishes. Very good my new favourite

This restaurant is under new management and what a change that made! Besides the lovely atmosphere of the refurbished premises, the food is out of this world. Whatever we had - traditional indian or signature dishes - was of superb quality. The service is friendly and courteous. They do not serve alcohol, but in addition to the usual fizzy drinks alcohol free wine and beer. I find that rather refreshing. This is our new favourite restaurant.

We first came across Ashiyana when ordering a takeaway over a month ago...

Both the food and service we received were top notch! Chicken Badami, mild but cleverly, gently spiced. Lamb Dhansak, warm with chilli, not too sharp, not too sweet. Chicken Naga, fiercely hot but still delicious - flavour not sacrificed for blow your brains out heat! And wonderful Biryani, cooked with chicken on the bone, a rare treat! Best meal of its kind that we have had in a long time. Already looking forward to returning!

Being a foodie and also having dined at this restaurant over the past few years I booked a table last week after hearing it was under new management. . Although the food was consistently good previously I felt the ambience and staff were a little, lets just say. switched off. I have always enjoyed the food and I have to say what a difference I experienced last week . Not only were the staff friendly and attentive, the ambience was uplifting which actually reflected on my whole evening. The waiters were actually able to recommend side dishes, salads, to complement my order which to be fair, I have to say, enhanced the taste of the dishes I had always ordered previously. After serving each meal, they would return within a couple of minutes to check if our order was correct, and If there was anything else we required. This is something a lot of restaurants fail in doing. No one wants their food going cold because a certain dish is missing, I have to say, for the price of the dishes and the service which is provided and now the ambience I will definitely be pre booking as I have a funny feeling my regular table may not be available soon.I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you just want to relax and have a fabulous curry in a friendly restaurant with nice friendly staff.

Been to this restaurant too many times. The food is great value for money and is really nice. I usually travel to London for this type of food so is great to have one in luton. The staff are really nice and very welcoming. If you want a recommendation, try their Salmon la jawab best thing ever!

I always go Ashiyana with my family because it is the best in town, I can’t seem to find anywhere else in Luton that is better then them, the food portion is perfect and the prices are worth it, I went to miraj before where i found it very unhygienic and dirty, also the staff there were very rude whereas in Ashiyana the staff are very polite the service is great and the atmosphere is superb

We're a regular here always thought it was the best in town but second time this year we waited two hours for our food when it came it was stone cold our table of four and another table of six that's all that was in the restaurant they concentrated more on takeaways so we got up and left without eating still had the cheek to charge us for popadoms so back to the Miraj for us

Just picked up a takeaway, got to say it was absolutely delicious. We ordered 4 different dishes that were spot on. But Lads sort out the salad for the Tikka, I couldn't even be bothered to open a sweaty little bag... Apart from that..... Lovely

I have been ordering food from this restaurant when I have free saturday,s at home after few beers. The food is always tasty and well portions. Vegetable biryani and Curries are my favourites. I will be trying their meat dishes. Delivery driver very friendly and polite.

this restaurant is perfect for family's and as soon as you enter the staff greet u so kindly unlike the shop down the road miraj they won't even show you too a table. i really would reccomend the lamb shank though as this is cooked to perfection

Totally disagree with the 'review' which rated this restaurant 'terrible'. Had our first meal here this evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. Service from 'Sid' (Sidique) was great - made us feel very welcome right from the off. We tried a range of dishes from the varied menu and the comments were all positive: coming from a very fussy Vindaloo eater, a professional chef and a general curry lover, this was high praise indeed. Will definitely be visiting again!
