Amazing! Lovely service. Enjoyed it immensely!

First meal at the Jay Raj for a little while and I have to say, the food was exceptional. Fabulous service, also. Already looking forward to the next visit.

We visited The J Raj Indian Restaurant on our way to Luton Airport, having found it through Google based on glowing reviews—and it absolutely lived up to the hype. We arrived at 6pm and were only the second table in, but within minutes the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. They were genuinely friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about ensuring we had a great meal. The food? Honestly, it was the best Indian cuisine I’ve had in years—full of flavour, freshly cooked, and beautifully presented. If you’re travelling via Luton or staying nearby, skip the usual hotel dining and make sure you stop here instead. You’ll enjoy a fantastic meal while also supporting a brilliant independent business. Highly recommended.

Very friendly welcoming, the waiters were very attentive and made the ordering process very comfortable, they made recommendations and slight alterations to my tastes! Clean establishment and an enjoyable evening. Would definitely be a venue i would recommend for great food and great atmosphere 👌

We stumbled across this place on an impromptu date night a few weeks ago and couldn’t wait to come back. The staff are incredibly welcoming, friendly and attentive. The food is promptly served and the best of its kind. The only way I can describe it is utterly delicious, be prepared to want to take your left overs home as you won’t want to leave a crumb! This will now be our new fave date night spot!

A highly rated curry house located in the heart of Luton always helps when making a choice of where to visit for an evening meal when visiting. Staff were very accommodating and eager to please with quick service offered. A good menu choice offered with flexibility to mix and match items as required. As to the layout, standard curry house, but tables were clean and food was served in good time and hot. Overall a deserved high rating as food offered good flavour at a reasonable price price

Wasn’t the best Indian, bharjies were under cooked. The chicken in my bhuna and tikka masala were overcooked and generally was all greasy and oily. Seriously are there no good Indian takeaways in Luton?

Second time that I came to the Jay Raj. The Rogan Josh and Peshwari Naan are my favorite. The only point that I would like to see evolve is the wine list : some higher quality wine would be much appreciated, like a white late harvest, it would make the whole experience perfect!

Fantastic food! Great quality Indian! Service is perfect, staff checked during meal on quality of food and waited until finished before clearing plates! Music ambient and cultural.

Mid week visit, only three or four tables in use. Service quite prompt and friendly but a long wait for our food. Aware of a table further down chatting quite loudly that their food was much hotter than they expected. Suddenly the penny dropped, they had our food. Summoned a waiter‘you’ve given them our meal haven’t you? Err yes but it wasn’t my fault. Further long wait, no apology nothing. Will not return.

I have eaten in this Restaurant for quite a few years but, haven’t been recently! We decided to have a delivery … it’s Monday night in February and all I can think is that the Chef has had the night off and left the waiters & the delivery drivers to cook !!! The order was delivered well over an hour after ordering. The delivery driver stayed in his car expecting us to go to him to collect our food !! Most of the order was awful , 1 main item missing ! The curries seemed watered down , the onion bhajee was just a desiccated mess and we eventually ended up putting the food in the bin !!!

prices have gone up but food quality is still great. could have made the portion size smaller to cover costs rather than. increase prices. it will put people off in due course.

Food was marked as delivered once estimated delivery time had passed however food was nowhere to be seen. I called to restaurant who told me the food had left the restaurant and would be 5 minutes away. 20 minutes later I called again, to be told the same thing. When I responded that I was told the same thing last time I called I was told to not raise my voice despite talking in the same manner the entire time. I was then aggressively patronised. Woeful service
