The best restaurants serving Indian food in East of England

Visited on a Monday evening around 7:30pm. It wasn’t too busy but it wasn’t quiet either. A nice and steady evening. The food was absolutely delicious and the portion sizes were just right. The waiters were very polite and service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere stole the show for me. A lot of restaurants you visit these days are drowning in loud music and loud patrons. However, at Blue Orchid they have really cracked it. The lighting, the volume of the music. Left feeling full but not stuffed and very relaxed. Just what you need.

Superb!!! Excellent food, great service and wonderful staff who looked after us so so well! We visited as a family group for a Birthday celebration and they really made it a fantastic experience. Thank you so much

When I holiday near by I always get a take out from here , every meal has been super tasty and filling

Nice service and tasty food (and free dessert) but the spice threshold was much lower than expected. The family, including 2 adults and 2 teenagers ordered from the 'medium' section of the menu but we found the food to be only 'mild' with no kick, even the teenagers, which was a bit disappointing. Next time we shall probably order from the 'hot' section and see what happens!

Fantastic, we had a selection of dishes to share and each were delicious. Service was excellent and atmosphere was pleasant. Highly recommended.

Had the worst chicken kormas known to mankind. Chicken was tougher than Hulk Hogan and the korma sauce was the same consistency as water. I called the restaurant to give them a chance to put things right and was told that I was wrong. Apparently he “watched the kormas being made and they were cooked to perfection”. Not only if the food terrible, the guy is a liar. Worst Indian restaurant in Hertfordshire. How this is ranked 8th in Broxbourne I’ll never know. Jokers.

Ordered food for delivery .4 times repeated post code driver called wrong postcode given to him..not his fault..Ordered x x hot vindaloo..massive disappointment ..not even madras hot..starter..sheesh kebab. Swimming in water no garnish. Naans steamer and soggy when arrived...unless eating in don't bother.

Great curry, excellently spiced. My girlfriend insists we go again, with speedy, friendly service, and a nice ambience

Visited here with my mum for dinner first dinner with her since daughter was born. Meal was superb. Best naan bread i have ever had so light. Waiters very attentive. And best service from shah the waiter. Free naan bread as they forgot our vegetable dishes. Will be visiting her again such good value for money

No puedo comentar sobre la comida, ya que no nos quedamos a comer realmente. Nos fuimos. Puede ser comida decente, pero la gente deja mucho que desear. Reservamos una mesa y llegamos a tiempo después de haber corrido el guante de fumadores hoscos reunidos fuera. Nos dijeron que tomáramos asiento. A algunas personas no reservadas se les dio una mesa por delante de nosotros. La gente era muy desagradable y nadie hizo ningún contacto visual. Después de 15-20 minutos decidimos ir a otro lugar y no volveremos. No importa lo fabulosa que sea la comida no hay excusa para overbooking, mala gestión y grosería

Fantastic to have Indian cuisine that doesn’t rely on ‘English-Indian’.

Last Saturday I went to Voujon for a dinner with my family. It was really nice. Food was amazing, excellent service and lovely atmosphere. The waiter are very welcoming and attentive. They really look after us. We definitely going again.

Bought besan barfi from the shop and realised when I got home that it was mouldy!
