have used before and it’s been okay, but tonight I was very disappointed the chicken in my curry was very dry and chewy even the lentils that my curry has were undercooked.

My order was missing the popadoms, rest of food wasn’t that tasty . Note to self don’t order here again

Today, I visited here and I had to wait for a long time for my food. I ordered tandoori roti with matar paneer. However, tandoori rotis were not cooked properly and too much thick. the taste was also not good of food. I am very disappointed with the service of food.

I accidentally ordered the wrong item on the menu for delivery & they were so polite over the phone & apologised despite it being my fault. Gents, I'm giving you a four because I've used you for years and have always been happy... But last night's lamb curry was practically vegan, just a few tiny bits in it. If the prices need to rise, so be it.. but cheaping out on the meat is going to lose you customers, I'd be sorry to see another takeaway go that way 😢

These guys are great. I've been getting currys from Curry Express for over 10 years and the currys are lovely and really consistent, they're so good. I'm normally a right moaner, and have high expectations and they deliver every time.

Every time I have to get a curry somewhere else, I am disappointed because it is not from curry express. Their vegetable biryani with veg curry is DELICIOUS!!!!! 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. First time ordering here as our normal Indian is closed on a Monday and so glad we did. The food was amazing! Came piping hot and was delicious! So reasonably priced too. Defo our new go to Indian take away 100% x

Have ordered many times previously but restaurant seems to now be closed. They took a payment online but never accepted the order or delivered. No way to cancel on their website so having to dispute this via bank as they are not answering the phone. Avoid ordering online

This takeaway doesn’t look very fancy from the outside but, oh boy, the food is absolutely fabulous. Samosas were next level. Onion Bhaji was so well balanced - crispy and juicy. King Prawn Puri was perfect flavour and consistency. Chicken Garlic Chilli Masala was rich but with no heaviness and lots of chillis (fab). I’m so pleased I chose this takeaway. Update: I have since ordered twice from this takeaway (I’m not local) and can confirm that my first meal was not a one off. Each time the food has been tremendous. Thanks to the team 👍

ordered a few times now and it's exceptionally good. Quality quantity and freshness. literally the best I've had in a long long time. Service is spot on. Staff again are very good too. I'm not a massive vegetable lover but these guys have proved that wrong. Don't let this one pass you by.

Food standard was not good. Rice was greasy. King prawn dish was not good, no King Prawns, only a couple of very small prawns. Cheesy garlic naan - cheese was processed, not good. Will not order from here again

Really impressed with the food. Bombay spuds were some of the best I've had. Very fresh tasting. All food was very tasty and plenty of it. If I had to moan I'd say although fresh the onion salad lacked something. Service was very good and delivery on point. They guy who delivered was very friendly and respectful. I'll definitely be going back.

Set meal for one with madras was nice and a good price. I’d of preferred the mint and mango dip to be a bit thicker and the onion bhaji and naan bread to be cooked a little less but still nice. Good portion sizes and lime pickle was nice too

The order was delivered more than 2 hours after I ordered it. When it arrived one item was incorrect (veggie bruna instead of lamb), the curry was bland and badly seasoned, and the onion bhaji was dripping in grease. I won’t be ordering from here again.

Unfortunately, the order was disappointing. The chicken jafrezi was dry and the lamb bhuna was not much of a bhuna. Tarka daal was watery and tasteless.. slow delivery and toi much onions.

I placed an online order and paid. I then got a message 15 minutes later saying my order had been cancelled - no explanation or apology was given. I was then informed I would have to wait 3-5 days for a refund! So my money has been taken and no food delivery! This is terrible service - I am dumbfounded!! If you aren’t open don’t take orders and process peoples payments!!

New to the area and first order on app. Was so not disappointed! Food was prompt, courier cheerful and informative and the food was perfect. Would certainly recommend and will be our No.1 choice.

Delivery was ordered much quicker than we were expecting, even on a Saturday evening! Food is always incredible and definitely the best curry in Hitchin, especially the House Specilalities which are unique and interesting. Added bonus are the staff who deliver with a smile!

On enquiring why order was 20 mins late we were told it had just left for delivery - a 15 min further wait. 40 mins after my call the meal arrived still hot. Someone had clearly lied to me and that breaks the customer trust

The most westernized flavoured samosa I have ever eaten. Not a restaurant for authentic flavour. Good service though.

The food was good but the irony that this place is called Curry EXPRESS, express it was NOT!! The delivery took 2.5 hours by which time I was at my wits end. I tried calling the restaurant multiple times for an update and when I eventually got through they said it would be 10 mins (it was more like 20 from that point). No tracking provided which is most unhelpful and no offer of a credit on my account or anything for the inconvenience. I won’t be ordering from here again.

We eat a lot of Indian food and have tried everything in the local area of hitchin and Letchworth. We keep coming back to Curry Express because of their consistent good quality food. The ready time is usually incorrect but it’s worth the wait!

Vegetable curry, rice and tandoori chicken. Piping hot and very tasty. Chicken was juicy, veggie curry was a good mix of vegetables and not too oily. Rice was fragrant and not too greasy. What I'd call a very good 'standard' curry. Did the job perfectly. Would definitely order again and probably try some other items. Delivered early by a very friendly delivery guy. Delivery took 2 hours. Understandably it was a Saturday night but when ordering it said it would take 45 mins and then it changed to 90 mins after confirming our order and then it was delayed again, meaning our food didn't arrive until 9.30pm. We'd kind of lost our appetite by that point The food was great though and they did give us some complimentary poppadoms and a bottle of coke which was gratefully received. Will order again but if the delivery time is late again, it'll be our last time.

The Tikka Naga was probably the best takeaway curry I've ever had. A beautiful fruity spice! Poppadoms were a tad stale which is why I didn't give 6 stars.
