Just came down with my family for my birthday. Staff were so welcoming and friendly and the food was great as always. Thank you!!

Takeaway chicken tikka masala was overpowered by coconut. Otherwise nice.

Chicken tikka massala Sauce watered down ? Why? Tasted awfull . Chunks of chicken , first 4 pieces dry as expected. 5th chunk hard and rubbery nasty . Obviously changed hands or chef! Tried to bite into chunk and it was like hard grizzle. Nasty nasty nasty .

There’s a lot of Indian Restaurant competition in Baldock, with chilli lounge and bangla both very good, but this place is probably the best. Outstanding food and really good, efficient service. It’ll be our Baldock ‘go-to’ for curry if these standards are maintained.

First time ordering. Unfortunately the food arrived cold. But upon reheating the tikka roll and halfway through discovered a small greyish stone inside the outer part of the nann bread presumably from the grill oven? Have spoken to just eat but is unresolved.

This is a staple for either going out or for take away. Good food, friendly service and a great menu. I’ve had great experiences so far and really like the food I’ve had.

Substandard meal , not the best at all . Would not recommend this restaurant . Thought we’d try it as hasn’t been here for a while but food not warm enough, overcooked prawn dish and doubt we will return .

Good food. All good , balti jalfrezzi, biriani, naan, rice recommended. Hot wings inedible though. Wont order again. Almost sour and off. Not spicy hot. No one could eat them. Thought id try them. Not seen on menu before and son loves wings. Leason learned.

Used to be our favourite curry place, recently its gone down hill. A few months back the food started tasting very inconsistent, so we provided some feedback by calling up the restaurant. After that we stopped ordering from here, and after 3 months decided to give it one more go. Unfortunately, we were so dissapointed. Onion Bhajee - stodgy, oily and very unseasoned. Chana Puri - no spice and not flavoursome. Chicken Balti - mild, unseasoned and lacking any flavour. Won't be returning for good.

tonight was the first tine i had a Madras for about 20 years and it was really good from here, not overly spicy but you get an option to heat it. Tender chicken and delivered hot...brilliant

Had dinner here with colleagues. Without an appointment, during the week. Great friendly welcome. Good recommendations for choosing starters and main courses. Especially when it came to the spiciness of the sauces. Everything fresh and top quality! We had starter, appetizer and main course - didn't manage everything. Very good value for money. If you're in the area, a visit here is an absolute must! Highly Recommended! We will be back.

Food is great, prices like others have gone up.. Also can not see the option not to have a 30p bag surcharge? Happy to not have it bagged unless it can't be delivered unbagged in which case why do we have to pay? Hidden costs..

Food was ok, not bad. Portion of chips was tiny, especially when you consider the price of them! Less than a portion of fries at McDonald’s but for £3.50!

Visited 2021/2022: I’ve been here twice and the food here is amazing. The value is brilliant on a Wednesday: ANY starter, main, side with rice or naan for less than £15. I think I used to even pay £13.95. You have to book because it’s so popular and it’s not a very big place but it’s worth it. They also do a takeaway service. The Staffa re always pleasant. Try the chicken pakora, chicken gunpowder 🌶️🌶️🌶️, sag aloo!

All of the food was amazing except the chips, literally dripping with oil, I know chips don't go with curry but they were for my daughter. Had to bin them as they weren't edible at all. Everything else was really good.

Order was early but biryana tasted burnt and stale had to throw.

They got the milder request mixed up and my partner could not eat hers it was so hot.

Restaurant was lovely and amazing and very apologetic when I called to say where was my food as it said delivered and they turned round never received the automatic order and blamed just eat as they had issues with there side of the system today so unfortunately the time I got the food I was over hungry and was far to late that I had couple of mouthfuls and didn’t hit the spot how late it came l, second order from just eat which is disappointing me

It arrived in good time, maybe a bit early, but I wasn't keeping track to say what that was. Food was great!

The food was bitter, too much garlic, and approximately 30% of the dish comprised large lumps of onion. The chicken was dry and had no taste. Very disappointed with the food.

We tried to eat here yesterday with my assistance dog and were illegally discriminated against. First the management tried to deny us entrance, even though we told them proactively that it was an assistance dog and he was wearing an identifying lead slip (which is not a legal requirement, but just a courtesy). The management fought us until I told them we could sue them for not letting us in, and then the manager left for several minutes and said he would be back. Not knowing if we would be admitted entry, we got tired of waiting and left. The manager then chased us down the street and said he was preparing us a table hidden in the very back of the restaurant because "some people might not like dogs". The entire restaurant was empty, so this was obviously a lie, and regardless, this was illegal discrimination against disabled customers - you can't legally segregate us from other (nonexistent) customers. We rejected this man's ableist behavior and instead went around the street to eat at his direct competitor's restaurant Dine Bangla, which was completely packed with local customers (a sad comparison to this empty establishment at dinnertime on a Saturday night). Avoid this discriminatory business!

Order takeaway regularly from here but decided to eat in tonight for my son's birthday dinner. Food was fabulous, service great. Was fully booked when I called to reserve a table for 8 people but Omar said he would try to move tables around for me. Initially said he'd tried and couldn't make it work but called me back later on and said that he'd managed to do it. I felt he really went the extra mile to fit us in. Super helpful, great food that isn't overpriced and a nice friendly atmosphere. Love this restaurant.

The delivery driver was really nice and friendly just what I needed after a hectic day moving. If the rest of the staff are as nice i may have found my go to restaurant I had a Railway Achari which was full of flavour and I strongly recommend it. All in all fantastic all round

First place we think of when we want a Indian takeaway or to eat out in baldock. Portions big,price good & food always what you fancy. They always let me bring my leftovers home for my husband to!

Best curry in Baldock despite the competition. This place has the crispiest and tastiest Onion Bahjis, amazing curry, and big portion sizes. I personally recommend the Pathia, Ceylon and Jalfrezi. Also if you haven't before, order the Puri! The only thing I would say is, a medium curry normally comes too mild.

Wrong food received. Ordered a lamb dansak, got a chicken tikka. Disappointed

Had a lovely evening here on Friday. The food was excellent & the service. We had Tandori chicken as a starter, this was cooked to perfection. Our mains were both of the same standard. The restaurant is bright & airy & popular music is played in the background.

I went with my daughter to Bombay Bistro on 15th October 2022. We goyt in early at 6pm and was met by the owner who was very pleasant and got us a table, the place was empty at the time. My daughter had to send her coke back twice because it was flat but it was no trouble to the staff. She eventually settled on a j2o. We ordered the meal and it took a good 20 to 25 mins to arrive which is a good sign that that are taking care to make sure it's no rushed and its right for customers. When the food came it was well presented and looked very nice. One the small picky points I would of preferred to see my curry in a steel bowl I stead of a porselin one and a bigger container for the rice as a bit more rice would of been perfect. The food was first class a nice thick flavoursome sauce and generous meat and king prawns. The food was very good and my daughter said it was the best curry she has ever had. For me it's up there with the best too., I've had as good but not better. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. I would advise to get in early as the service slows right down at peak times. We all have to understand that when you are the best curry house in Boldock you are in high demand and when the food is so good it will not be quick. Its not like McDonald's, burgers are quicker and easy to cook than a fantastic curry that requires grest skill and experience to get right for all customers on a consisant basis. The food here is not expensive in my opinion, so highly recommended I would come back to this restaurant definitely. This was my first visit.

Thought food was cold and poppadoms stale

Asked for mild, but it was not. Sauce was very sharp tasting, not as expected in a Dhansak

The vegetable curry was really disappointing as there were were hardly any vegetables in it. It was very oily and full of onions. The mango chutney is also very basic and feels very artificial.

Excellent restaurant, so pleased we tried it out, we will definitely be returning here. The menu has some interesting choices like Gunpowder Chicken, well worth a try if you like your food hot. It is delicious.

This was our first visit since the lockdown and were very happy to discover that the restaurant still has the high standards that had always been our experience. The staff are very friendly and helfpful. The menu very intersting and the food excellent with the good quality ingredients used.
