Always perfect from the polash

Lovely, definitely found my new Indian. The food was perfectly spiced. Big portions and nicely presented. Food was hot when arrived. Free salad was fresh.

dry rice, chicken tikka masala was so thin it was like soup. Also, no gratuitous poppadoms with such a big order?

This is our second visit in 20 years. We seem to forget about this little gem. The food was really tasty, the staff were very helpful and attentive. The interior was clean and had a good vibe. We will definitely be returning sooner.

Fantastic food, will he ordering again

I have eaten in the restaurant twice now and both times I was very happy with the food and service. The restaurant has a lovely traditional decor and the food is top notch. The owner is very welcoming and is attentive to all aspects of the running of the restaurant.

A friendly restaurant, amazing food with fantastic service. Well worth a visit. Our only comment is if you go with a child who requires a high chair they do not have one.

Dansak was lovely, Shashlick was disappointing, little peppers or onions. Sag aloo, too many potatoes. Still a quality meal and will order again in the future.

Excellent. It was my grandsons birthday. Staff were attentive, professional and friendly. The food was delicious.

I'm sorry to say but possibly the worst Indian takeaway we've ever had. Prices were at the higher end, portions extremely stingey, we both ordered dishes which are traditionally hot but both had zero heat to them, and despite being completely different curries, the sauce seemed to be exactly the same. Chilli paneer had no taste of chilli at all and there were 4 tiny pieces in a portion. I rarely review anything but I thought this was particularly worthy of criticism. Definitely won't go back.

Had Christmas day lunch there in 2017 and returned last month for dinner. Still excellent.

Sheikhk Khalifa's team provided a fantastic meal of curries rice and samosas for my party of 28 relatives. Everything was tasty hot and delivered on time. We've been going to this restaurant for over 40 years and the friendliness of all the staff and the quality of the food keeps us coming back.

All of the currys were bland and rest of the dishes were not worth the money. First time we have ordered from here, don't think I would order from here again.

I have eaten in the Polash many times. This was the poorest in terms of food quality by a long way. The food was unpleasantly sweet and unappetising to look at because of the use of food colouring. It will be some time before I risk using them again. It may seem harsh to give a poor rating for time but15 minutes is a big margin.

Absolutely brilliant curries as always, had the Moricha which was spicy and fresh. Only down side was onion bhajis were missing but everyone makes mistakes. This is a brilliant restaurant.

Food was very nice and good service

The food I found very poor, made from cheap ingredients, the dessert was a simple tin of fruit cocktail you have as a kid. Unfortunately a waste of money.

The butter chicken curry was £12 which is very expensive, there was maybe 5 small pieces of chicken. I ordered a daal, they barely filled the container to half. Waste of money, not happy at all. Won’t be going back.

As usual had a lovely meal,nothing is to much trouble given advice on contents of food, a really nice evening.

Amazing food, best in Southend by far, All tastes fresh and lovely, not greasy and fatty, just simple, fresh food, pilau rice is great, naan and keema naan is fluffy and toasted, korma is bang on, not overly coconutty or full of cream, Curry's are really good and tasty as well as spciy, meat is fresh and not "too soft" like it's been frozen ten times, and all delivered on time, every time. Well done polash. Can't wait to pop in and have a meal and a cobra with the family

two hours late, resturant lied and said they hadn't recieved the order. When I offered to provide an order number they weren't interested. Called back again after an hour and lied again saying it must have been sent out as the kitchen was empty. Called and asked for a refund and was told they would not provide one and instead sending more food out. Contacted just eat about this and they said I have to arrange a refund with them. First time I've had an issue with just eat and they were useless. Took well over two hours in the end and when it arrived was of very poor quality.
