Indian Summer in Bedford

Food was not very good at all ,we ordered 2 chicken dishes and in both ( the chicken was dry,it seems like it had lamb in it and something that had no taste at all

Not only was this well over an hour late. Is was warm!

Been ordering from Indian Summer for years as they (Were) the best in Bedford. It seems they may have new management or staff? As the last few orders have heavily dropped on quality. about half the amount of actual curry, stail poppadoms, missing items, cold rice etc. Real shame I now have to look for a new place.

Delivery was amazingly quick (especially for a Saturday) and the food was excellent as usual. I didn't want a full meal so ordered a keema rice and a keema naan and both were delicious (definitely ordering them again!)

The delivery was only 20 minutes even though it was quoted 1hr. The delivery driver was really friendly and the food was really tasty. It would have been nice if the Madras was a bit spicier and my husband loved the fresh coriander in the curry. 9/10. Will buy from Indian Summer from now on.

1st visit to Indian summer the decor is clean fresh, nice dining booths and dining tables. The staff all smiles and friendly greeting even a bit of banter on the football game tomorrow. Drinks arrived pretty quick and we ordered poppadoms whilst deciding what to order for the mains. Well I must say the food was excellent everyone commented on how nice the food was as we all ordered differently from each other. If I visit Bedford again I will dine at Indian summer for sure.

My house is hard to find, but they did it! The food is great, especially the saag paneer! Delivery guys are always polite and very prompt. I probably order from them more than I should but the food is great.

Usually my go-to restaurant for takeaway food. Last nights order was very poor. King prawns overcooked and hard, lamb overcooked and hard. Lack of seasoning through everything. Way below the standard we're used to from here. Not impressed.

Not very flavourful and cold. Everything had a weird taste to it. The cheese naan I ordered had loads of other stuff in it. Just a disappointing curry and binned half of it :(

La comida para llevar fue decepcionante. Los popadomas eran viejos y los bahji tampoco eran frescos. El pollo tikka estuvo bueno. Sin esfuerzo parecía para unos pocos elementos tan simples. No volveré.

Our food was stone cold, and how has it now become so expensive for rice and sides( £20.70) that i did not notice that my order for Bhuna had not gone through? So, dry cold rice , we had to reheat it again and this made the chicken on the biryani very tough and dry.

Was very disappointed with this meal. I don’t know if the chef has been changed or something. I’ve ordered from here before and the food had been excellent this time the rice was hard, the naan was like cardboard and the curry was pepper hot but not flavourful. I didn’t enjoy it at all and couldn’t finish it. Hope it was a one off because I’m really considering whether I will order from them again..

Went to a charity event here last week for my fiends Hannah and the food was so delicious we decided to try a take away tonight. We wasn’t disappointed.. absolutely delicious.. best tikka masala we have ever had! All hot and tasty and super fast delivery. Definitely recommend

Lovely. Not particularly hot but tasty. Lukewarm. Maybe we were last on the delivery schedule. I’ll ask to be first next time or we won’t use them again.

Wasn’t the best mushrooms had cold juice inside, next time give them an extra minute in the microwave 😔

Excellent service Jay, Rob and the crews service was really warm and welcoming. Hands down best indian in Bedford we had a Tikka mix grill chefs special garlic chilli chicken and lamb jalfrezi reasonably priced atmosphere great thumbs up from us. 👍🏼

Disappointed that there wasn't veg with biryani. Looking back the menu does tell you but usually its normal for it to be included with dish. The menu asks you to order extra. It's not extra if you don't receive any. It's poor. Also wasn't hot but it's very cold out. Would expect better from Indian Summer. Although the food we did receive was nice we won't use this restaurant again.

Food arrived 10mins after ETA as the driver couldn't find the address nevertheless the food was delicious, piping hot and perfect. We loved the Saag Cheese dish and the King Prawn Jalfrezi. The Chicken Madras was a wee too hot for me but hubby and daughter loved it. The Chicken Balti I found a lil too sweet and had completely dyed my hands by the time I'd finished eating. But this is the second time we've ordered from here and it never fails to deliver! Highly recommend 🙌

Food was delivered on time, and was hot. However nan bread was doughy, and food was flavourless couldn't tell the difference between the mushroom bhaji, and dansak. Both were just spicy, but no flavour. Had to add salt, and never had to , to a curry before. Very very disappointing

Popadoms stale, near all over cooked and hard and for some reason quite sweet. A strange taste for me. Sorry

Best Curry in Bedford. Been going here since it was called Gulsahns many years ago. Absolutely gorgeous food and you can taste the freshness. Always my go to for a curry xx it was predicted for 5.35pm at 5.35pm I received a text from Justeat saying it would be late and 5 minutes later it was here. Lovely service.

We ordered a family take away and I inadvertently ordered Keema rice instead of Keema nans. When I rang to report having received the wrong item in our order, the gentleman I spoke to was lovely and offered to have the nans delivered on another round. He didn't have to do that but I was very grateful. The meal was excellent and we thought the customer service was too, thank you.

Another delicious meal from here - today we went for something different, a vegetarian rogan and korai. One was Quorn which is great, very rare to have this as an option. Dal was really tasty as always, along with the mushroom rice and chilli nan. Will definitely be back.

Decided to try Indian Summer after reading the positive reviews and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food we received. There were three of us eating, I ordered the Chicken Tikka Biriani, my friends had the chicken razala and chicken tikka masala. We also had sides of cauliflower bhaji, bombay potato and mushroom rice. Everything was excellent, the only fault I could possibly highlight was the Bombay potato was very oily but when that was drained the taste was very good.

Always good food and service. Always on time or early. My go to for Indian food.
