The best restaurants serving Indian food in Castle Leicester East Midlands

A gem of a place on the edge of Leicester city centre. Parking limited however. You can play English pool, snooker, full bar and an on-site Indian restaurant, all on the same floor.

Here at herb my family really enjoyed the dishes served to us. Especially the masala dhosa I really become addicted. And i would like th point out Hospitality the service they provided to us; Especially the girl named Gopika who attended us. I would like to give her a 5 star rating for her service. And thanks to the entire team for serving wonderful dishes

Tuvimos una cena encantadora en Friends. La comida era deliciosa, el servicio era genial y el ambiente encantador. Había algunas grandes opciones de menú que no se ven en todas partes y realmente disfrutamos de nuestra comida.

Nice friendly service. Bland, flat, lifeless, tasteless food. We had a chicken saag and chicken Karai. From the first bite to the last it was tasteless. Everything looked the part, except for the flat naan breads, no fluffiness in sight. Really dissapointed, £60 not well spent.

Encontré este restaurante en TA y le di una oportunidad, no había vuelto a reservar una mesa, pero no hay problema alrededor de las 7 pm del viernes por la noche. Conseguí un puré de langostino rey comenzado, que era genial seguido de main main con arroz y ajo naan La comida era increíble y recomendaría encarecidamente, el servicio era bueno recomendando mi plato principal

Brilliant meal and food ! The decor may be tired and the layout a little school dinner hall but put that to one side as the food is something special. We had a range of dishes as starters and they were soon cleared though, with the mains all being eaten and everyone enjoyed their dishes. A rice portion would be fine for two people but it all depends how hungry you are! There’s an outdoor BBQ out back which is fired up on a Sunday with lots of outdoor seating. Will certainly be returning soon.

Poor service, main meals came out at least 10minutes apart. Had to go and ask for the drinks. Biryani was tasteless and although stated vegan came out with dairy yogurt. Would not visit again.

I discovered this place randomly and it has become a real favourite. I really love their momos as they are authentic Nepali style and although it’s not on the menu, if you ask them they can do jhol momos for you, which is momo in a gravy. The best bit is that the vegetarian momos have soya keema that’s just flavoured right. But be warned, it has Schezuan pepper so it is a bit spicy. The paneer tikka was really delicious and the quality of paneer was good too. My parents liked the baigan bharta. We had naan with the meal and that was good too. The saag was a little undercooked but overall a good experience. Forgot to take the photos the first time I went there, I had the egg curry and it was just so delicious. Only complaint was the place we were sitting was a little chilly as the heater vent was facing away from us.

Nos gustó, muy auténtico, el personal era genial, nos dieron un capricho extra con un nuevo encurtido que estaban probando era muy bueno. En cuanto a la comida, fuimos a platos inspirados en África oriental, cordero y pollo. Mi esposa pensó que no había suficiente cordero, el mío estaba bien. Encantadora especia. Muy bien.

Had an amazing experience at Shivalli in Leicester! The food was incredible – every dish on the thali was full of flavor and perfectly spiced. From the fragrant rice to the rich curries, everything was delicious. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. Great food, excellent service, and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic vegetarian Indian cuisine. Will definitely be back!

Waitresses are the best thing about this place unfortunately not the food

THIS PLACE IS CLOSE DOWN! I’ve booked a table through the website and got a confirmation but turned up and it is closed down!! The number on the website goes straight to voicemail! Do not book this place as it is not open

we order from here alot, food has always been fine and delivery is always on time.

I recently tired chicken 65 biryani, to be very frank it was amazing, the spices and the amount of chicken available for perfect, will definitely recommend people to try that.
