Heritage India in Leicester

I have visit this restaurant last week with my family for dinner. The environment is very friendly with melody background music. We enjoyed a lot with starter. Veg manchurian is the high recommended and can’t stay saying about the veg platter. Veg platter was so mouth watering and flavourfull. And in the main course we ordered lamb tawa and chicken madras which was very delicious with pulao rice. The staff are so humble and friendly. So will coming there very soon.

Every food and drink on your menu tasted good. The waiters and waitresses were very friendly, beautiful environment and definitely will go back again.

terrible food, empty restaurant, rude staff. Food came out cold, bland, dry had no flavour, meat was far from tender and wouldn’t even cut with a knife. will not be going again. The cost for what we were given was appalling, could of got a microwave meal which was nicer.

Honestly go elsewhere Came here for a special occasion.. service really really poor, member of staff rude. Poppadoms not fresh, Curry was very bland. Honestly really disappointed, will not be returning, quite possibly overall the worst Indian I’ve been to. I hope for them it was an off night.

I liked the ambience. A lovely fine dining restaurant. I loved the main course Chicken masala with Garlic naan. I did not enjoy the starter non-veg regular Platter somehow. although it was good. chicken was tender and rightly cooked, but still probably It wasn't the taste that I was looking for. Overall, It was a great experience, we had been there for a birthday dinner and it turned out to be sweet memories.

It's not too bad food good price wise expensive

I ordered a desi lamb which was very disappointing. It was oily and the lamb was chewy , very little flavour. I also ordered the Goan sea bass , the fish was ok but again very little flavour. The naans were not your usual restaurant style naans but they were like the naans you get with a kebab. So I will not be ordering from here again. Very disappointing heritage india!

Service was good and it's clean. The starters tasted better than the mains. I think they should offer a smaller version of the veg platter rather than just one size. I think it was the owner that was going around and talking to all the customers which is a nice gesture.

Divine take out as always. Been a loyal supporter since day one! Friendly staff members and humble boss. Lamb Karai is our ultimate favourite & butter king prawns, freshly made garlic Nan 10/10. When eating in we have their sizzling sheesh kebabs! Amazing. Speedy delivery service, always earlier than estimated time & food is piping hot. Highly recommend Heritage for people that are looking for a authentic Curry!

Tasty food and brilliant service.

Really friendly and attentive staff. Comfortable, relaxed seating and atmosphere with the smells of spices from the kitchen occasionally. The onion bhaji was the best I've ever had, very fresh with slight crispiness. Not at all greasy like some places. I also had the Lamb Madras, one of the best (if not the best) curry I've had as well. Fresh and so full of flavour. The curry was hot but not overpowering and there was lots of tender lamb as well. The rice was also lovely and a perfect contrast to the hot spice of the Madras, complimenting the curry very well. As a side I had the keema naan, again, a big portion and very fresh, full of flavour and spicing. Would absolutely recommend this place and will come again if I'm in the area. Managed to thank the chef and his brigade on the way out as well and it was great to see the whole restaurant team obviously take such pride in what they do. Excellent meal, thanks!

People will often say in reviews that it was the best they ever had, but I genuinely have to say that was the best, tastiest and most beautifully spiced Lamb Vindaloo I could possibly have wished for. The lamb was tender and wonderfully cooked and the whole curry, rice, naan, onion bhajis and poppadoms were amazing. Would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Looked at Tripadvisor so as this was the closest Indian with good reviews I decided to give it a go. But the food I ordered I thought was very average, with both taste and presentation. I won’t be returning.

Had a few take aways from them, and they are definitely not Authentic Indian dishes. Just had a chicken Jalfrezi, pilau rice etc main dish was tasteless - not a Jalfrezi for sure !

A decent Indian restaurant, although if you're expecting authentic indian, don't get your hopes up. Found quite a lot of our food with varying levels of quality. Some dishes with chicken were incredibly bland and dry, whereas some were incredibly flavourful. Overall though, if you want to try it I would absolutely encourage you!

Visited here for the first time, an i was very pleasantly surprised with just how nice the food was. The service was good too, with very attentive members of serving staff. Set across two floors, there are enough tables at this restaurant to sit small and large parties. It was busy, but what with it being a Saturday night a week before Christmas, its too be expected. I ordered, an can also highly recommend, the Desi Lamb, and also the Jeera Garlic Chicken, two very exceptional dishes. All washed down with a pint of Cobra Lager. There is ample parking available, with plenty of side streets. Heritage India also offer a take away service.

We went to dine at heritage last week having not been there in a while- but this time we were disappointed with the taste, menu choices and quality of food- we order chilly paneer- very bland and tasteless. Butter paneer was too sweet! We will not be going back. Drinks were overpriced too. A can of coke for £2.50!!!

This restaurant was recommended to us and we are so happy that it was. The food is excellent with great choices even for us vegetarians. Fresh and full of flavour with large portions which gave great value for money. The staff were very friendly and processional which added to the overall lovely atmosphere.

I have visited the restaurant with my friends. We really loved the food. The starters are very good. I liked the non-veg mains. The service is nice. I would suggest everyone to visit if you are a looking for a tasty Indian cuisine.

Went for a family meal complained as the chicken niblets were raw the managers response was to simply apologise and offer a replacement but didn’t seem to understand the severity of the raw chicken we decided to leave without paying for our starters or drinks which they were surprised by Will not be visiting again!!!!!!!

My Fiancé and I visited, our best restaurant experience in Leicester to date. Very easy online booking. Customer service- Outstanding, Taste- Explosion. 10/10 Perfect dining experience, our best in Leicester yet. Upon entrance to the restaurant, we were greeted warmly by staff and were able to take our names and escorted us directly to our seats. Ordering was very convenient, starters arrived within 5-10min of ordering. Drinks and platters came before that. By the time we finished starters, our mains were around 10 minutes from this time. As photographed, all was presented with immaculate care, staff constantly checking in that everything is ok with the food and service. Despite the busy Saturday night crowds, the service was exceptional and we truly felt appreciated as customers. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We went on a Sunday evening and there was a large group already seated on our arrival. This did nothing to effect the service from the attentive staff or the kitchen. The food was outstanding and levels of service faultless. The large group added to the atmosphere I am sure the gentleman who’s 21’st it was is the best behaved 21 year old birthday boy on the planet. Let’s hope he makes amends out of season ! Thank you very much for an enjoyable dinner.

Although the quality of food was as always exceptional, the service tonight was poor. Very disappointed that we had to wait so long for our starters to arrive (40 mins) and then the starters were served at the same time as our main course (because the waitress had cocked up by telling the chef that was what we wanted). We felt over faced seeing it all together. Come on Heritage, get your act together! The food is gorgeous and we want to enjoy our experience of it.

Had food delivered to our workplace for a Christmas Eve dinner. The flavors of the food and preparation were fantastic. Absolutely worth every penny and would recommend using for any form of dinner or party.

We have Heritage every christmas eve without fail every year for the last 4 years. They never fail to deliver. The staff are fantastic member of the team! The food...well..wow...we absolutely love it. We don't eat takeaway often...but anniversary or birthdays and christmas eve we do heritage. I mean it wow's us. Inside the restaurant is clean and tidy. Staff always informative. Staff are great! The restaurant is beautiful inside. So big! Price is good and the food is perfect for us as a family of 4. Thank you for always providing amazing service and food!

A quick weekend visit and it was Heritage Indian that reminded me exactly what I was missing about Leicester. The food was delightful and extremely tasty. Although the wait time was a little longer then we would of liked I was in the best company possible which made it fly by. Up visiting daughter, decided to have Indian. Trawled through 200+ on trip advisor and chose this. Food was delivered on time, portions substantial. However food was very average and weirdly rices were quite greasy!?! Very disappointed

The food here is fresh, not greasy and tastes so good. Staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and make you feel very welcome. Simply the best.

Our family have always enjoyed the food at Heritage which is always tasty and fresh. However more recently we have noticed that the chicken takeaway dishes have loads of sauce and approx 4-5 pieces of chicken in the entire tub (see pic below!) really not acceptable considering the prices!

We came here from Surrey on a family trip and thought we’d try the best restaurant in Leicester- and it was brilliant! The service impeccable, the fish tikka incredible, the paneer ‘the best I have ever tasted’ , the garlic naan was delicious, the garlic chicken curry was amazing and the ambiance relaxed and fun. Definitely worth a visit and we all loved it! A lovely evening and the best restaurant in Leicester we’ve been to! Thank you!

My nieces had organised and selected the range of vegetarian starters and vege main course dishes for a family birthday and get together party. The food was good with generous portions and the service was excellent. They catered well for the two people who required Jain food which was good too.

First visit to Heritage India on the back of a recommendation, pickles tray a bit bland with no real flavours coming through, usually always a nice spicy pickle to get the tongue tingling, had the Pilau rice and chicken bhuna which was fantastic, great flavours, service forgot my wives Naan bread so had to ask for that and then they wanted to clear our table before we had finished some dishes, overall it was all OK nothing special

The layering of spices take this place to another level. This curry house was voted best in Leicester in 2018 and has been nominated again, and rightly so!! Ruby royalty!!

Had a fantastic meal here tonight. Service faultless and food delicious. I had cod starter in tandoori which was best tandoori dish I ever had and best cod dish ever. All of my food was fabulous and tasty. Come and enjoy.

The restaurant is highly rated; we found it good but not excellent. The service was good, our meal was perfectly acceptable but a bit average. The dining room lacks ambience and the chairs were very aged, worn out and a bit low when seated at the table.

I have been going to Heritage regularly and have always enjoyed to food, however over the last month or so I have noticed a change in the dishes, on my last visit I asked one of the waitresses and she confirmed they had a new chef, sorry but not up to the previous standard

I've tried a large number of Indian restaurants but this is easily the best I've been to. The food is always amazing and the service is always great. Cannot fault it.

My in-laws live in Leicester so we went here for a birthday meal last night.

Overall this a good, if not a little pricy curry house. Food is fresh and well prepared. Service is good. However my curry dhansak had lemongrass in it, which was a surprise as it was not an indo asian dish. It also gave me a lot of indigestion.
