This was a surprising discovery. Never expected such authentic Indian taste. I can say this is the tastiest Pav Bhaji I had so far in US. The pakoras, cutting chai and curries are amazing. Definitely give it a try. Especially for those whose tastebuds are missing Indian food badly.

Hi neighbors, remember this wonderful restaurant?? It’s still here!! Had a fantastic dinner here. The highlight was the Pav Bhaji and Kadai curry. The spinach was great. The service was top notch and the drink menu is very interesting too. The dirty passionfruit lassi was yum. Go visit this gem this week.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, it's extremely overrated. I visited after seeing the inflated ratings and numerous YouTube shorts and TikTok reels hyping up the biryanis with dough wraps. This is merely a cheap trick. The dough is disaster.! Firstly, the biryanis were clearly not cooked in the same pot. It's obvious they just wrapped dough around the bowl and microwaved it The biryani wasn't even fresh, looks like 4 days old rice and chicken yet it took a staggering 45 minutes to serve it. I requested a spicy biryani, and all they did was dump red chilli paste into the mix. True spiciness in a biryani should come from the masala flavour When you order biryani, you expect some onions and raita to come with it, not to be charged extra for them. Overall, I'm thoroughly dissatisfied with the food and the pricing. The biryani was awful, and this place is just an overrated, overpriced gimmick.

I recently dined Sunday evening 5:30 at Bombay Indian Restaurant and, unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. We ordered Lamb Rogan Josh, naan, and paratha. The paratha was served half-cooked, and the Lamb Rogan Josh was overly salty with soggy lamb. We also tried the Chicken Biryani, which was labeled a "must try," but it was far from it. The biryani tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for more than three days, and the chicken was freezer-burned and not fresh. When we requested onions on the side, the man with a bald head and French-cut mustache gave us a mean look and never brought them. The only positive aspects were the mint lemon water and the friendly boys who took our order. The ambiance was good, but it couldn't make up for the disastrous food. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant based on my experience.

The appetizers were the only dishes with taste. Ordered the samosa chat and ragda patties, the mixture was the same for both dishes with essentially the only difference being samosa vs patties. The entrees (chicken tikka, saag paneer, Malia kofta) were extremely bland, however the quantity was good. There was only one other party sat in the whole restaurant and yet we were still seated next to them, tables were wobbly and the service was slow.

I quite enjoyed the chicken biryani ($20.90, tax included). The presentation was novel with naan as a bowl cover, which was then cut off to expose the biryani. It had generous tender chunks of chicken and I’m glad they did not shy away from the spices. The interior had a good contrast of the dark wood and the colorful mural-like wall coverings.

Over rated, visited this place after looking at the ratings and many You tube shorts and TikTok reels about the biryanis with the dough wraps, this is a cheap trick. First the biryanis were never cooked in the same bowl, I am sure they just wrapped the dough around the bowl and torched the dough on top, and the biryani was not even fresh, for this they took 45 mins. Since I asked spicy (level-5) they just added red chilly paste into the mix and gave, (Spiciness for a biryani doesn't alone come from red chillis, it has to be the masala flavors). When we ask biryani it is expected to get some onions, and raita along with it, it should not be charged extra. Not at all satisfied with the food or pricing.

The restrooms at Bombay Streetfood in Washington DC had a somewhat unkempt appearance, and it was peculiar to find an opaque door leading directly into the kitchen. Regarding the food, the Butter Chicken leaned towards the sweeter side, predominantly tasting of tomato paste. The $45 Thali included only two pieces of naan, which seemed insufficient given the six different curries provided. The other dishes were reasonably good, but overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this restaurant again

However, My wife ordered chicken tikka masala and basmati rice but her chicken tikka masala was terrible, she couldn’t even eat because there was no flavor and it was definitely not a tikka masala, we had this dish, in Istanbul, Budapest and NewYork because this dish is really one of our fav and never experienced such a bad chicken tikka masala every. It was sad for her!Restaurant needs to check that receipt or the chef I don’t know. Atmosphere was alright, I like the old movie posters cover the wall on the left but paintings on the wall was very bad and it seems very cheap, it seems like lots of labor but no art in it!So atmosphere was average!

Consistently Delicious Food with Room for Improvement I've dined here before and have always been delighted by the flavors. The Indian chats, in particular, have been a personal favorite. During my recent visit, the chats lived up to their usual delicious standard. However, I decided to try something new and ordered the Veg Kohlapuri, and unfortunately, I was left disappointed. Traditionally, Veg Kohlapuri is known for its spiciness, but this time, it tasted more like a mild veg kurma, lacking the expected kick. We ordered several items, and I must commend the kitchen for their lightning-fast service. On the flip side, the wait staff, while friendly, could improve in terms of attentiveness and coordination. It seemed our server was relatively new, as he brought all the dishes at once after I had requested the chats to be served first, followed by the main course. Despite these minor hiccups, I highly recommend the restaurant for its consistently delicious food. There's certainly room for improvement, but the flavors are worth the visit.

They are generally on time and very easy to pickup from. The food is fantastic. The best butter chicken and tikka masala I’ve ever had. Serving sizes for me can even make two meals. I also love the chili chicken and samosas. When I’m feeling in the mood for a fresh cold dish, I go for the behl puri, if you love onion and cilantro with a crunch texture and rich taste, that is the dish you should give a chance. The veg biryani is (usually) very well seasoned but they use obviously frozen vegetables, which sucks because it’d be pretty great otherwise. Spice level varies somewhat day to day, but the flavors are nearly on par with vegetarian food I ate in India. Overall, though, the disappointing quality of the vegetables brings it down a star. I decided to try this restaurant after my friend could not make up her mind. And it proved to be a very good decision. This is a great place to satisfy your craving for Indian cuisine. One of the things I love about this place is they will dail in the level of spicyness to suit the customer's preference! I ordered the keema Pav Bhaji appetizer (ground chicken and lamb). This was my first time trying this dish 😋. And it will not be my last. It was outstanding! And the quantity easily could make this an entree. I ordered the lamb biryani and to my surprise it was served in the dish it was prepared in and was covered with Naan. The lamb was moist and tender. The quantity served was more than enough for two separate meals. The flavors of both dishes were over the top. If you are looking for an Indian restaurant I would recommend this establishment. The only downside is they don't serve any cocktails but they have an extensive wine selection. Other than that I say this is a must try! I will definitely be returning!!! There are several other dishes on their menu that I am definitely going to try.

This could just be a one-off experience as I visited during Diwali 2022, which is a notably busy time for South Asian culture. They were definitely understaffed to manage the volume of people coming in, which is no one’s fault but the employer. Food wise, we ordered samosa chaat, pav bhaji, sekh kebab, paneer tikka masala, naan, and chai. The pav bhaji, chaat, and paneer were all great, with good flavor and spice. The bad food were the kebabs, naan and chai. Half of the kebabs were HARD, as if they were frozen and then reheated very quickly. We could not bite into them. The naan was flat and crispy, when naan should be soft and fluffy. The chai was also pretty flavorless and tasted like the milk had gone bad. Shortly after taking it to go, I had to dump it out. End of the night we spent about $90 for two people, and due to understaffing, it took us a few tries to get the attention of an employee to get the check. I would give this place one more chance I feel, but it was not a great experience for my first time and I know $90 could have been put to better use.

We love most dishes we get here and it's our go-to Indian spot. We exclusively get takeout, and sometimes the service isn't great: significantly delayed food, missing items, and strange pricing. A note on the pricing, we just noticed that for palak chat the menu price is $7, on UberEats it's $8, and when we ordered it over the phone it was $10 (no intermediary service). The explanation I got was that the $10 included tax, but it definitely doesn't (total was $11 with tax). The extra few dollars don't make a big deal, it just seems a little fishy.

Food was really good. All the stuff were really nice except the guy in black shirt. May be he was little stressed out. He should be welcoming and smile a bit. Customers go there to buy food not to beg. So smile buddy.

Ordered food to be delivered, It took them over a week since we ordered from them to deliver to an elderly relative, they said it would be delivered today on the 08/11/24, when we phoned the day before, the woman said she was 100% sure it would be delivered, only to find out that they never actually sent it, when we phoned again the guy on the phone was really rude about it when we asked for a refund he just hung up the phone on us, would never order from them again, they are absolute scammers, will also be taking this up with paypal to get our money back.
