We booked a table at Tandem for our company Christmas meal. At the time of the booking, I was required to leave a £35 booking fee. The meal wasn't bad, wasn't great either and the service was slow, so all in all very average. I paid the bill and left. That evening I received a voice message saying that they'd forgotten to take the deposit off the final bill and to contact them. It was good of them to contact me, and I promptly emailed them and provided my bank details as they requested. Despite trying to speak to someone at the restaurant and sending numerous emails, it's now three months since our visit and I've still not received my deposit back. I'm continuing to chase this up, but my advise would be, if you leave a deposit, make sure they take it off the final bill before you leave the restaurant!

This place seems to have closed, even though bookings are accepted online. Reminder messages turned up, but the restaurant itself was closed. There was no response on ringing the phone number.

Had a wonderful time at Tandem restaurant for my graduation party. Very accommodating to our requests for the arrangement of the event space, going even further to provide decorations. The food was exceptional, although there were some mishaps with orders and the time the food was served. Would highly recommend.

Be careful when booking because they be charging 10 pound for each person if cancelled the booking. I cancelled it because didn’t know if it was halal. Also the last time i went mfs gave my vegetarian friend chicken. We ordered paneer, but there was no paneer but chicken. To the tandem restaurant: who replied. I went to this restaurant a year ago, I remember it because u guys gave a free drinks for the mistake. Check 18th September 2021 and ask ur whole staff who was working over there, and it won’t be surprising if u guys said “that theres no record” obviously protecting ur reputation and whatever. That was the first and last time I stepped into that restaurant. If i hadn’t tasted the food, my friend would have never knew about it. And i do have different religions friends, i dont care if the food is halal or not becuz m hindu and non-veg. But my muslims friends do have problems. It’s surprising how a restaurant owner can think this way and judge wht type of people i was going to bring. And who reads the terms and conditions. When we cancelling, u guys should mention it again about the charge. Becuz 10 pounds for 1 person is unacceptable. Looks like u guys are not earning much so u guys are robbing customers. And u telling me that I didn’t inform, excuse me, i did call them. And they didnt pick up. Its not my fault you guys didnt pick up. Also i saw all the reviews who gave u 1 or 2 stars, and u guys are justifying urself?!! Huh!! Like people are supposed to give their honest opinions and when they do, u be telling them, “oh no u wrong”… great service sir/madam or whatever.

Looking to have a good Indian meal, and saw the random, and looked very inviting. Ordered a couple of cocktails 2 for £10 good deal then ordered a little starter, then order our main and asked for it to be spicy. that wasn't very hot and came out warm as nam bread was very small. To top it all off they had charged us for extras we never had £29 in total. Would I use it again or recommend anyone no . Over priced for what you get and it didn't even seem top quality.

I organised a friends birthday party with 25 guests. Chrissie at Tandem helped me along the way. This restaurant is excellent on all counts, food lovely with fresh good quality ingredients, service - the staff can’t do enough for you. There was also an excellent magician, Magic Amit, who was so entertaining and had us all astounded by his magic. As an Indian, I've been to some very good Indian restaurants, this isn't one of them. It's not very often I award 3*, but here is why Went for a group book (15 people, wasn't told we would be on two different tables). Was told that there would be another book after us and we would have just over two hours for our meal - fair enough. We were seated at 6pm. Poppadoms were small and only 5 half pieces in a tray, chutneys - average. Few people ordered starters and they were happy with them. They had happy hour on for cocktails and one person tried to order at 7.02pm and was told they couldn't - I understand the 7pm cutoff but we were a large booking. Mains didn't come until 7.15pm. I asked for a jalfrezi, which said hot on the menu, when I asked for it to be "Indian hot", the waiter said it was spicy already but would tell the chef to make it extra hot. The jalfrezi tasted exactly the same as the others (few people ordered) and they tried mine. Mentioned this to the waiter in which they apologised and asked if I would like some extra green chillies. These were not cooked and I was not told that I would be charged for them until the bill arrived. We were then asked to leave our table so that they could sit the next group at our table. They couldn't itemise the bill and were simply told to sort it between us. The food was average and the service was poor, they were clearly busy but shouldn't be taking numerous group bookings. A 10% service charge was added as well to the bill. If you're after average Asian food, go here. Plenty of much better places about.

Did a walk in as a single as I had heard good reviews. Starter tandoori king prawns, 3 prawns which were hardly king no flavour extremely bland. Then had to wait 35 mins for chicken tawa. Over heavy on tamandrind and Garam masala. Thought the sauce could easily have come from a jar from Aldi. Bill had a service charge not happy as the main had taken ages to come, then the server openly asked me for a tip. I had to bite my tongue. Did not come close to living up to the hype.

I arranged a 50th birthday party for 25 guests, we were given a separate party room. The service, food and drinks were all excellent. A big thank you to Crissy to sort out all arrangements and last minute requests. Highly recommend the restaurant to everyone looking for good Indian food and ambience.

I must say this is the best Indian restaurant I've been in Leicester. The place is gorgeously decorated,.very confortable and great vibe. The service is great, the waiter Justin is really helpful and patient to explain the dishes, provide suggestions to assures you will have the best experience and be well served. The food is amazing and the portion sizes are huge. The best part they can accommodate dietary restrictions well. It is a great place to lunch late on Sunday. It was an amazing experience. I recommend.

Went here on Saturday night with my family to celebrate my birthday. Excellent service and fantastic food, was really impressed with how good it was. Will definitely be returning

After a few really enjoyable meals at Tandem, it was the at the top of my list for my celebratory Birthday meal. My Mum dealt with Chrissie in making the booking and made arrangements with her to make it an extra special evening. Chrissie went the extra mile and was so helpful and accommodating. Justin was our waiter and he was so friendly, he knew the menu and made some great recommendations with food and drinks. All of the staff made it such a special meal we had a great night. We've been again since and they continue to impress, they make you feel so welcome and the food is amazing! 10 out of 10!!

We had a lovely dinner in Tandem on Friday evening. The service was excellent and the food amazing. We had a lot of vegetarian and gluten free options. The cocktails were exceptional too, especially State of India that positively surprised with the spice. Huge thanks to Philip and Amit for making this evening special.

Discrete, yet attentive service with excellent food made.this a great evening. All the dishes were very tasty and good portions. I would highly recommend trying a cocktail as they were phenomenal.

We went this evening for dinner, our first time here. The food is good, serving size of portions are good. The taste is good too. In time, not delayed. Courteous staff.

1st visit to tandem and what a delight, fantastic starters and tasty mains, philippe was our server and was very attentive and full of advice and information. Would highly recommend to anyone, what a gem of a restaurant.

We visited Tandem last night. We hadn't booked, but took a chance on a table being available. A very warm welcome and a choice of areas to sit. The service was fast and the food was delicious. We ordered the balti for two, which arrived in a deceptively small pot. The balti pot was packed with prawns,lamb, squid, muscles, and chicken and of course rice. It was the best balti I have ever tasted. We couldn't finish it which was a shame. The waiter did offer to bag it, but as we were staying at a hotel, it wasn't possible. Lovely surroundings and very helpful waiters.

Decidedly average. We'd heard good things about Tandem when it first opened, as a fine dining Indian restaurant. It's certainly not fine dining. Atmosphere was lacking, and the quality of the printed menus smacked of a cheap all you can eat buffet. Menu is very limited. Waiting staff were very good and polite, but the good was very average. Nothing I couldn't have bought from Sainsbury's.

Food was great but the service from the young man Mohit was brilliant.

Excellent food and service. Was very disappointed that a 10% service charge was added to the final bill, thought those days were gone. So beware.

It was a very warm experience. I went there for the first time and Filip was there to serve us. He was very helpful and friendly, he explained the menu thoroughly and made me a special mocktail which was sweet and fruity (just what i like). Very professional and confident he knows what he's doing. The place itself is nicely decorated, very cool! We sat outside on the balcony and it was amazing in this weather and also good for taking pics. Lovely time, definitely visiting again.

I came to Tandem on the recommendation of a friend and it was absolutely amazing. Authentic Indian food, expert bartenders and an amazing atmosphere for business meals and for family too! They have multiple rooms to dine in and it looks amazing! I have been a couple times and the people who stand out the most are Filip, Ross and Bamba who have provided me and my friends with amazing service, showing knowledge of the food and drinks they provide. My favourite spot in Leicester!

We had our first date night in over 3 years and chose Tandem. We had an amazing meal and the SIP Candy cocktail was amazing!!! The atmosphere was perfect, would highly recommend. Great service from Phillip too.

Went to this lovely restaurant on Saturday for my daughters birthday. Just want to say thankyou to the lovely staff for looking after us all so well. The food was absolutely gorgeous I had the lamb kadai well worth trying, a tasty desi dish. The cocktails were amazing too! To top off the night a big thank you to Amit the magician he was Amazing!!! My husband and little boy took me to this beautiful restaurant 😍 for my birthday 🎂 The food was really delicious and tasty 😋 freshly cooked and beautifully presented. Staff was very welcoming and attentive. There was a really excellent range of vegetarian options 👌 plus a brilliant kids menu aswell. We all had a lovely time. Definitely come back and most definitely recommend to go and give it a try.

Came here for a birthday meal on a Monday evening, the restaurant wasn't too busy as it was a week night. This was our first time at Tandem and I was impressed by the interior as it was beautifully decorated and had a very luxurious atmosphere. We had some cocktails as it was Happy Hour, which were delicious, and then shared a chicken Tikka starter, and had a chicken biryani and lamb karai for mains. The food was really delicious and tasty, the portions were quite generous too! The waiters were very polite, and the service was excellent. I would definitely come to Tandem again to try more of their menu.

This was my first visit to this restaurant. Would not have been my first choice but was gifted with vouchers for this place. I was pleasantly surprised. Upon entering we were lead upstairs to our table where we were met with Ayushi, who looked after us for the rest of the evening. The service was excellent. The food was very tasty. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Do not recommend. Food is slightly overpriced and the interior of the restaurant advertised on the website is only the upstairs area which we was not allowed to go (assume this is for regulars) & this was our first time (& last). The downstairs area reminded me of a take away area where you would eat a box meal of chicken wings and chips after a night out. £80 for two people - did not finish the food and felt our custom was very undervalued.

Don't waste your time or money at this restaurant. Good point, It's clean. Bad points it's expensive. Pickle tray comes with Poppadoms cut in half (what a joke) Very poor choice in menu. Have a better selection at any takeaway. Currys have no substance to them. They're more like a cheap bought in sauce with meat thrown in. Six of us went and all said "worst curry ever ".

Absolutely wonderful place, managed to squeeze us in on a busy Saturday night and although as they mentioned being a little short staffed in the kitchen, we didn't notice any delay with our orders.
