The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

Tasty curry, good portions with friendly and swift service. My veggie Dhansak was good, spicy as requested and the chicken tikka masala and pathia seemed to go down well though the chicken could have been more succulent apparently. Overall a reasonably priced, friendly local curry house in Emmer Green

Been here several times, and is no secret that I have for a long time, stated this to be the best restaurant in the world! Food is always top notch, service is always spot on and as always did not disappoint. Also Saffron offers a little bit of sanity in a mad world right now, with minimal covid nonsensing, the restaurant doing what it has to by law, but no stupidity and silly stickers, just common sense and letting people enjoy themselves. Saffron Lounge excels in the delicious food and the dining experience.

Amazing quality and delicious burgers delivered quickly and piping hot to our door with a smile. The best burgers we have ever had. Thank you so much.

We order from here on a regular basis but tonight was a serious disappointment! Over £30 of food was shocking quality. First of all we gave delivery driver £2 tip he then asked for change as we paid with 2 £20 notes and when we said no he pulled a bag full of change out, seems to me he wanted to keep the 10er! The onion bhajis were dry and hard, butter chicken was cold and I could’ve put the window through with the meat, the rice was cold and the chips tasted stale and the garlic naan was pretty much raw! Back to Rhodes tandoori in future one thinks!

Food was ok, not what I'm used to being from down South, however it was edible. I've eaten at several Indian restaurants around the UK and based on the food it's in the middle of the road. The service was great and the guy serving was really attentive. I have been here twice so I know the deal but it was to break up our weekly food options.

Rubbish i payed 32 quid for two currys one was the wrong curry.and the lamb bhuna had no spice init.dont bother go somewhere else.

Brilliant curry as vegetarians, service is great. Has become our new regular since re-opening and blows other local curry houses out the water. Thanks guys!

We always walk past this place and always empty or at least ever time we passed it. That was the main reason we didn’t try it being a chef myself. Then we decided to order a delivery. The price was responsible until you see what you get for your money. The taste is bland on all the items we ordered! Being local myself I did give them the benefit of the doubt but they proved why they are so quiet. Few yards away there are two Indian restaurant both are not excellent far from but much better than this place. Amazed how it’s still open. And the five star ratings? Did you have proper Indian foods?

Our first visit as highly recommended. Possibly one of the best Indian meals we all had tonight wed 19th. The staff were so friendly and the service was exception. Definitely going back! Thank you Suzie

Cold inedible take away, when I told them I wanted a refund arguing with me, I have used this Indian for years, new management I think, terrible guy on the phone. the food has got worse and worse, this isn’t authentic Indian it’s tasteless, arrives stone cold. Just awful why should we be ripped off!

Algo en la preparación de los alimentos o la higiene en la cocina me arruinó y me confinó a una noche de miseria. Mal dirigido, un camarero y no hay suficientes chefs. Cuando se abrieron las puertas de la cocina solo pude ver a un chef en la cocina de aspecto desaliñado. Clientes agitados, una mesa detrás de nosotros se fue en un suspiro después de esperar más de una hora para su plato principal. Es un restaurante pequeño y podría/debería ser excelente. El problema es que las órdenes para llevar parecen tener prioridad. Después de una noche soldada al trono de cerámica, nunca volveré.

We highly recommend Raj. The food is delicious. It always arrives piping hot. The delivery driver is friendly and always smiling.

This is an excellent take-away. I have spent a lot of time travelling in Indian and Bangladesh. The Swaffham Spice is probably about as close to authentic street food that you can get. If your looking for the sanitised brit version of Indian food, expensive and laced with cream and colouring, then its probably not for you. If you want to sample a curry, as it should be, then this is the place for you. Great flavours together with excellent prices.
