I don't know what has happened but we have enjoyed our meal for years here but NOT now. Firstly had to wait 40mins even though the order was phoned in 30min earlier, the Currys were bland and watery,no taste of spice at all. The rice was hard and pale tasteless with very little mushrooms in it for a mushroom pilau. Nan bread was small round rubbish no better than the ones you get in shops, the poppadoms we're ok but small. As for the onion Baji I couldn't say as I paid for them but never received any. I am gutted that it was so bad after years of great meals. Unfortunately we will not be going anymore nor will I recommend anybody else to go,a friend had one last week and has now told me he will not go again either as his food was disgusting. What a shame but at the price charged I expect better.it is a case of prices up quality and ingredients down. Way to go to ruin a good reputation.

I have came to this takeaway for years and refuse to go to any other Indian as they don’t compare! I travel a 40 minute round trip just to go to this Indian! Ali is always so friendly and helpful and the food is always 10/10!! Highly recommend!

My second visit and should have remembered how bad it was the first time. Greasy, bland with overcooked chicken bulked out with barely cooked tomatoes. The woodiest jarred garlic vinegar pulp on the nan and most of the jar at that. The worst part...the onion bhajis so dense almost raw flour in the middle which clearly absorbed and congealed with the cooking oil making it rubbery and utterly disgusting. Wouldn't be suprised if reheated. The place is also in desperate need of redecoration old and dirty....Lesson learned won't be going back....disgusting

Checked reviews, but what I received was mediocre at best. if I was being less charitable I would say poor. A really long wait and then the two curry dishes were not very appetising to look at and the taste was bland. The only good dish was the Naan bread. Won't be going back!

Take away meals were tasteless, had spicier cornflakes. Rogan Josh was bulked up the potato and tomato to disguise low quantity of chicken. Very little flavour, very little meat and very little value for money. I would have happily paid more for a decent spicy meaty meal, but not for a tasteless pot of over cooked veg!

Unfortunately awful customer service, staff member seemed bored and like we were bothering him by ordering, not friendly at all.. ordered on a Sunday at 6.50 and told a 40 min wait, not told the price or that it’s cash only, and once we collected (after 45 minutes) the food was ALL cold! Really disappointed as we’re up visiting and this place came really highly recommended. I imagine the food would’ve been nice if it wasn’t so cold. Sorry to post a bad review but this did seem necessary after almost £30

Fairly disappointed with the meal we got from BT. I do realise every Indian is different and its what you are used to, but with such good reviews we expected better. Staff were friendly and pretty cheap also.

Disgusting. Butter chicken? Was tomato soup poured over chicken cubes with no spices whatsoever. Peshwari naan just filled hollow naan with coconut but no sultanas. Big let down.

First time at the Brampton Tandoori last night and what a wonderful meal. Just moved into the area and were in search of a good curry place but never expected to be so happy. Don’t be fooled by the decor or lack of website, the food is the most important thing. We went for the 2 person special and an additional veggie tray. However the size of the meals is generous so we have enjoyed the food over three days!!!! If you’re looking for a a meal for three or four, then the two person deal is more than enough. The perfect winter warmer.... enjoy. Looking forward to going back soon. cheers, Keith Mc

Thank you for the lovely meal and for charging my phone. I was on a wee bicycle tour from glasgow to Whitehaven then c2c. A wee issue re my dynamo charge system on my bike resulted in my having to scrounge some power to recharge my phone. The staff were more than happy to help me. Problem was resolved and dynamo rectified. Thank you again both for lovely meal, chicken bhuna, and help re phone. Take care

Wow what can I say we stayed in Brampton for a weeks holiday and had Brampton tandoori one night Absolutely amazing, portions enormous and delicious Friendly staff and only a 45 minute wait to collect Try it you will not be disappointed 5 stars 👍👍👍

Nice but the lamb was a bit chewie

The food was excellent and spot on never had any problems, the staff are very friendly and helpful, would recommend to anyone, also the do a Thursday night special which for the the money you can't go wrong, the food speaks for it's self.

Very disappointed...after reading some of the reviews I expected better, it was poor...we had a Chicken Korma and a Chicken Tikka Madras. Neither curries had any flavour..both were so bland..and the Pilau rice was undercooked...way too hard...the best thing about the meals was the Garlic Nan Bread...definitely would not recommend this takeaway...

Very good Indian! We've been going to this Indian for absolute years and have always been great, never had a problem! I've had Indians from loads of different places and this one has always been the best! Cannot recommend enough!!

Last night I have tested the worst Chicken tikka masala in my life, chicken pieces in most likely tinned tomato sauce, yes that is it tinned tomato sauce and it was cold.Now to the rice and to start with it was cold and worse still it was stale flaky pre cooked god knows how long ago, absoulatly tasteless cold rice.I am 67 years old and travelled the world, never in my life I came a cross such a offensive and shockingly distasteful Chicken tikka masala from Brampton Tandoori.

In all fairness its not the most appealing building in Brampton, but dont let that fool you, the food is amazing! Staff are friendly, prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. They can only take card payments on orders over £20, but there's a cash machine just over the road so its not an issue.

I have lived in town for 5 years never went to this place until a few weeks ago. And woo great food. Will def be back. In fact think will go tonight

If you are new / holidaying in the area this is an excellent takeaway restaurant, the food is always good and offers a great range of authentic cuisine. Often tailored to personal tastes would highly recommend.

Chicken tikka masala from here is the best and now it's the only Indian I'll go to as others don't come close!

We had another amazing meal last night from brampton tandoori, food was amazing as always we had chicken tikka and mixed to start followed by mixed rogan and king prawn dupiaza which was amazing as always. If you want an authentic Indian meal this is the place to try.

If I had seen the place first I wouldn't have ordered. Wierd place the view in it is blocked by a bright red curtain. Inside the waiting area there was an old fan and a heater that could do with throwing in a skip. There was ground in dirt on the skirting board and on the plug sockets made me wonder if it's the same behind the scenes. Needs a good scrub and a lick of paint.Food was ok generally average Indian take away but I couldn't stop thinking about the dirty front room.

Watch your bill. On this site set price for dinner for 4 was £37.+Actual charge was 44.95. The principal factor is I was conned. Food fare but plenty of it and tasteless. Interior waiting area for your order, was dirty unkempt and in dire need of a good scrub and paint job. Not going back.

Great food from here, can't fault it. Ali is always very helpful and ready to advise on dished that i may or may not like. Expect to wait but that's part and parcel of fresh cooked food

Been going for 15years was super food .Been taken over recently our first visit with new ownership was terrible the worse Indian I've ever had cold mixed up wrong meal horrendous .will never go again and would never recommend to anyone. poor to say the least

When we moved to the area 7 years ago we tried this place and were appalled at the quality. Tried it again 1 year later and felt the same. Tried it once more this week and possibly worse? Don't be fooled by the shabby-sheik uncared for state of the place. It's just shabby. Dry, overcooked, oil swamped, stewed, tasteless. Forever poor. Have pride in yer sel' and go anywhere else. There's a reasonable chippy opposite!

My husband and I love to get a takeaway from here and are never disappointed, Ali is very friendly and accommodating and the place is always busy. We have been eating here since we moved here in 2006 and it's consistently good.

I like it but they could be quicker

Stayed in a holiday cottage a few miles outside of Brampton and we really fancied Indian food one night. Being the only Indian takeaway for miles we decided to give it a go. First impressions of the outside weren't great as the shop front looked a bit grubby and dated, but inside we were met with a friendly member of staff who took our order and told us the food would be about 20mins so we popped to the pub next door for a quick drink while we waited. On collection the food smelt fantastic and the smell wafting around in the car on the way back to the cottage was lovely. The food itself was very tasty and we finished the lot. We opted for A chicken jalfreizi, a garlic chilli chicken, pilau rice, garlic naan and aloo peas balti. The only negative with regard to the food was that it was slightly on the greasy side compared to other places we have tried eating the same dishes and the, as other people have stated, the poppadoms were stale, but they were complimentary so we weren't too bothered about that.Would use again.

Absolouely fantastic service. Was a mix up in the order (can't blame them as they are so busy) and they were extremely helpful rectifying the mistake! Food is amazing too!

Wasn't that impressed with last nights takeaway , I had the chicken tikka garlic and the only good thing about it was I got the extra garlic I asked for , Mrs Moose had the tikka wrap and said the wrap ( which was a naan bread) had very little filling or salad in it. It's also a bit grubby in the front of the takeaway where you enter which straight away gave Mrs Moose reservations. In future We won't be lazy and travel into Carlisle where there is much better Indian takeaways.

Mi marido y yo a menudo tienen comida para llevar desde aquí y nunca me ha decepcionado. Tuvimos otra comida fantástica esta noche, comimos cordero entrantes kebab y shashlik y pollo Tikka contradictoria y mezclado con pilau Tikka comidas principales de cebolla y fue excepcional.

Tuvimos una comida para llevar desde aquí el sábado por la noche 28-11-15 . Llamamos y ordenados en 18,45 . Nos dijeron que recoger en 'media hora'. Mi esposa llegamos a 19,10 esperando que esperar a sólo 5 minutos o así. Ella tenía que esperar otros 25 minutos! Luego, cuando finalmente llegamos a comer: era pobre. En otros lugares podrá conseguir su pan Naan en una bolsa con revestimiento de aluminio para calentar. La nuestra estaba en una bolsa de papel marrón -frío. Los aperitivos estaban fríos y nuestro plato principal la salsa es normalmente un denso y cremoso: la mía era húmedo. Creo que viajar un poco más lejos la próxima vez donde sabemos siempre es buena. No es a menudo que comer comida para llevar - así que es considerado un "lujo" para nosotros. Pero esto no es de un lujo y que no te decepcionará.

Utilizamos este lugar para una comida para llevar durante su estancia en la zona de negocios, Poppadoms para ser sincero, nos sentimos un poco blanda, chapuzón de Mango para ellos era más como una bebida era tan delgadas. Pero, para ser justos, el principal que tuve que fue pollo tandoori hard madrass era muy sabroso.

Fuimos a pedir comida, el chico que estaba en el teléfono y dijo que había sólo un minuto ... Él estaba en el teléfono de unos 10 minutos y luego una vez que fue la que nos llevó unos 5 minutos hasta que por fin llegamos a tomar mi pedido ... la verdad es que no toma mucho tiempo pero no vale la pena. Los poppadoms pasados y el curry se aguados y sosa. El único buen poco era el pan Naan!

The takeaway place seemed to be pretty busy so I expected the food to be good. Me and my colleague order bryiani and I have to say I was really disappointed. It's not nice Indian food.

Another brilliant meal again tonight from here. My husband had a balti and asked for it to be mild to medium and it was perfect. We have meals from here very often and are never ever disappointed and we will continue to try different meals on the menu.Would highly recommend .

We usually get a curry from here once a month and have used this take away for over 5 years. Great friendly service, lovely tasty food and they will go out of their way to make something for a child.Would highly recommend this to families.

My husband and I had a meal for two tonight and even though we have had lots of meals from here previously we haven't tried the set meals. The food as always was beautiful and enough to feed four, so we have enough left for another full meal. Ali is a really nice guy and always happy to help and will go out of his way to make sure his customers are happy. We wouldn't go anywhere else.

We eat here regularly and always have superb food and the best service from Ali the owner. We have tried several dishes on the menu and love most of them and if we ask for them a little milder it's never a problem. The Thursday special is very good value 7 courses for £9.50 just can't be beaten! Would highly recommend.
