The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

Food very average but incredibly slow and disorganized. There were 4 waiting staff, but no food for an hour. The place was only 25% full so who knows how long to wait if its busy. It was also very cold. Wont be returning any time soon.

Awful experience and awful food

Now Jaflong run by the owner Ivey and his team, every dish is freshly prepared and each dish prepared carefully and worth the wait. Light as air naan breads, melt in the mouth mutton. Unbelievable value for money too and byob. Great weekday offers including " Staff curry night" for £9.95 and 5 courses for £10.

We booked a table for 10 for my mums birthday we decided to go for the banquet special at £15 there was so much variety the food was delicious and the service was excellent.

Snug environment,comfy and cosy with nice spacing between tables. Its got a feel that you used to get in the days before big venues filling the space with endless tables.The staff are a delight. They work their socks off in the background but dont interrupt your evening. The food. I'm a Brummie moved out here and we pride ourselves on being curry lovers so can be picky. Not had a thing I wouldn't order again. Very flavoursome and you can taste the spices and blends without losing it under ill placed chilli. The kitchen knows what its doing. Little gem this place,eat in or take out. Try it.

On our travels in our motorhome,parked up at the wheatsceaf Inn but unfortunately the restaurant was fully booked. We googled the local takeaways and this one stood out a mile with positive reviews and we were not disappointed. This I must say for a takeaway, was one of the best Indians I have had..Arrived on time and no delivery charge as we were within 2 miles of the restaurant friendly guy on the phone and also a nice and pleasant delivery lady 5 stars for food and service. Highly recommended

I have been ordering from here for years and somehow the amazing food just keeps getting even better every time! This quality is what I always wish for in restaurant food. Clearly a labor of love. Thank you so much for the delicious food, you’re the best!!!

Don’t bother booking they don’t take any notice 🤷‍♀️ we booked for Wednesday night as we know it is busy . Having made 2 reservations 😂 because their booking system is flakey …. We arrived with no reserved table and were told they don’t take any notice of their booking system 🤷‍♀️ We try to stay local and give our money to local businesses but their customer service is terrible … such a disappointment … wasted our time when we tried to do everything correctly 😳 Why offer a booking system that no one in their business looks at 🤷‍♀️ At least put a message up to say book by telephone 📞… but then do they take any notice if that 🤷‍♀️ So sad that a local business is not bothered about their customer base 🥲 We tried 🥲 and yet again disappointed 🥲 What cost of living crisis 🤷‍♀️

I didn’t not like the service I found a bit off hair in my biryani and it was not nice I would not recommend it to anyone and they kept putting the phone down on me.

The food is very nice. The indifferent service lets it down.

One of the worst curries I’ve had might aswell of sent a tub of oil couldn’t of been further off being a butter chicken if they tried really disappointing

Firstly I phoned up booked a table atc4:30 pm Thursday 29may 25 three of us had starter s and main’s popudoms and pickles £63 bargain I had a curry with lamb chickpeas and egg with veg pilau my dad had red lamb curry and my sister had chicken naga all were delicious first time we’ve been here and will definitely be back good service also .
