Paprika in East Hampshire

Disappointed. Came to this place after seeing the reviews following a day at the beach. Whilst the staff were friendly, the food was way below par. Good size portions, but lacked flavour. No spice, bland, flavourless food. Even salt and pepper would have elevated it a little. Poppadoms and dips were the highlight. Definitely not an authentic Indian.

Had a bit of everything, and it was delicious! Would definitely recommend the buffet.

I had a delivery of lamb byriani. The lamb was so tough I couldnt eat it and it was the worse biriani I have had from a takeaway. The onion bhajis though were delicious.

Just a little shocked ordered potato and chickpea and was given potato and garden peas but weird

Never been before, but will definitely go again! Lovely place with lovely staff and wonderful food. Very large portions, I had to have a 'doggie bag'!

Lamb was gristle not nice . Onions hard not cooked properly. Chicken in the tikka was overcooked. Used before been ok definitely not last night

Have been going somewhere else for the last few years thinking that it was better, we came back here by chance a few weeks ago and the food was excellent and now we will be staying with here.

Absolutely amazing evening spent at Paprika! When dining with our in-laws and young nephews, Naz made us feel very relaxed and welcome as soon as we walked through the door! His understanding in entertaining young children whilst dining out, and his kindness when the boys would speak to him was lovely!! My husband asked for his recommendation, and what was recommended did not disappoint! The most delicious curry we have had ever! We frequently get takeaways from Paprika but will now start eating in more often! Thank you again 😊

Lovely food, rubbish delivery service. They only take cash on delivery if you order direct from them, can only pay card through justeat etc where prices are at least 25% more expensive. Had about 4 so far, one time turned up cold, another didn't turn up at all even afyer two hours when the delivery driver was still on the way (he'd been over 30 mins so far), so can be hit and miss.

Awful - avoid. Ordered £50 worth for delivery up to an hour. 2 hours later called and were rude and dismissive said food be another 20 minutes. Called another 45 minutes later they cancelled it said drive down tomorrow for refund! Claimed to be so busy yet when arrived to get money back the place was empty. Don’t bother. Not even an apology. Rude

Came for the buffet, great food and cobra on draught …. To top it off the service was great, we will be back

Home delivery told 1/2 hour, 1 hour 10 mins later still not arrived. Another time 2 chicken bhunas ordered got food that looked and tasted like had been cooked before, not nice at all

Been using this restaurant for years and they have always delivered over the road ro me at work now won't deliver.... won't be recommending to guest at Premier Inn any more very disappointing 😞

Ordered food we live two minutes away and driver said he could not find us and had gone back to shop I explained where we were said he would be two mins. 15 mins later still not turned up.rung shop and they informed me that as they could not find driver or our house they were cancelling the order REALLY!! after waiting one and half hours. Very very poor customer service Do not use

Had an impromptu meal for 2 at Paprika on a Saturday night. The food was very good and flavoursome. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the service was excellent. I'll give them 5* for the food and service but there were a few negatives points; it was quite chilly, the lighting could do with some upgrading to add some ambience and a little background music would be good too. Minor issues though and happy to recommend. Food eaten: Starter: Onion bhaji, paneer tikka (excellent) Main course: Vegetable dhansak, also gobi, chana bhaji, vegetable rice and plain naan. Dessert: None. Too full :-)

Had a meal there, good variety of food that tastes amazing, friendly and helpful staff, would recommend to others and go there again.

We love going to Paprika, excellent food and service.

A little gem in terms of food quality, very unexpected find and thankfully much better than any other Indian restaurant in the area.

We haven't had a sit down meal here for a while, however, just recently we've had a couple of really good takeaways from the Paprika. Our food orders were provided pretty quickly and that the quality of the food was excellent as was the service. Looking forward to the next occasion when we can have another takeaway.

Had delivery so can't tell you a lot, but it was a good curry. Naan and poppadoms with sundries was also good.

Went on a quiet evening, had the set menu but you still had plenty of choice. So much food, doggy bag for brekkie!!

This place was recommended to me so I gave it a go. Very pleasant staff took my order and whilst it took about 45 minutes to prepare it was clear the time was taken cooking fresh food. The taste of every bite was incredible. So many great tasty flavours and the aroma was simply consuming. Everyone in my family commented of the extraordinary tastes of every dish. Quite simply the best Indian food I have ever had. Highly recommended.

If I could I would give it 0 stars worst curry I have ever had the korma after 2 mouth falls made my girlfriend sick chips were cold and oily poppadoms were oily and soggy passanda looked like puke. New to area and thought we would try it was thilth 30 quid wasted as it just all went in the bin.

This Restaurant, since taking new management is completely unbeatable! I will not go anywhere else! We have yet to eat in but the takeaway is always better than perfect! I make my own curries but their blend of spices in incredible! We are again, blown away! Well done Paprika! So so good!

No1 for sit down and takeaway Indian cuisine. Love the variety, ideal for my weekly spice fix.

Second time takeout from here. Decided to collect this time. Staff were very courteous. Food took a little while to prepare but don't mind the wait. Once home we tucked into the curries and nan bread. The curries very very tasty. Chicken were very succulent. Nan bread was superb. Definitely coming back again as food is excellent!

New years eve so very busy kitchen, bit of a wait but food was great as usual.

Awful experience ruined our night. Curry delivered cold and the corma was like milk. Phoned to discuss, only to be called a liar and to be abused by the staff. Never again, will use Pasha in future. Totally awful experience.

Tonight is the third time that we have used paprika's since it opened under new management and I can honestly say that we have not been disappointed. The meals have been excellent and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that is looking for a good Indian restaurant or takeaway BILL

Always great food and very friendly father and son team. Definately the best Indian takeaway in the area. My favourite is the gurjurati chicken, consistently brilliant. (Since I wrote this review the place has been taken over by a different team who have also reopened the restaurant. The food is even better now, easily the best Indian restaurant outside of India 🥳)

Not all that it's cracked up to be,been to much better Indian restaurants for half the price,onion bhagees are not the best I have eaten,chicken chat and chicken byryani need more chicken,and less chat from owner when trying to eat with your wife would be appreciated

Arrived in the town late and needed some good food, I spotted this restaurant and called in, wow I was amazed. The onion chutney was the best I've eaten for a long while, made fresh, great fresh flavours. The chicken madras was cooked to perfection, not over spiced, not too much salt and just enough kick to it. I highly recommend Paprika to anyone in the area, you will not be disappointed.

We decided to visit this place for take away collection as reviews are very decent. I have never seen such a bad service. Our order was missing couple of things for which we paid, whenever we came back to politely mention service was very rude and raising voice. Whenever we looked inside the order always something was wrong - no drinks, no requested cutlery and something what I have seen for first time in my life... A salad packed in grocery plastic bag leaking all over other food. Receipt was hand written on a piece of paper. We are very upset as we expected at least average decent food or maybe just stuff was not in mood. I do not recommend this place, or at least for takeaway.

We don't live in the area but if we did this place would be our number 1 go to. Just really good food. Well prepared. One of the best I've ever had.

Paprika is the best Indian restaurant I've ever eaten at! The food here is absolutely amazing. I ordered the lamb shank and it melted in my mouth, it was mouth watering. It had such an amazing texture, beautifully seasoned and cooked to perfection. I had a prawn and mushroom dish starter which was the best starter I've ever had. Everything was cooked well and the presentation of both dishes as you can see is beautiful. The staff are very helpful and made me feel most welcome and well looked after. They have a wide selection of food choices as well as vegetarian options. They also have some alcoholic beverages if you would like that with your food. The food is also halal which is always a bonus. I highly recommend everyone try this restaurant. I will definitely be coming back. 10/10. Exquisite!

Lovely to see this restaurant open again. We visited last week and had a lovely time with great food that was beautifully presented and well as tasting fantastic. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We've also had a takeaway as well. This was also excellent. A little gem in a horndean. Highly recommended!

A friendly, family run takeaway that serves consistently delicious curries. Plenty of choice.

First discovered when it was Ameena Takeaway downstairs. Went to Paprika on the opening night and been going ever since. All in all, knocking 20 years now. Tried most places in Waterlooville, Cowplain and Denmead. Without a doubt, Paprika tops the list for service and quality. Can probably count on half a hand the number of average ones over that time.
