We always go to Miftas restaurant, never change Because we try the other restaurants but not like Miftas curry is the best in the area Amazing curry. Fresh and vibrant curry with flavoursome sides and delicious breads. By far the best curry restaurant in the area..The staff were friendly and professional, They delivery is fantastic and so fast, We can definitely recommend this restaurant and will visiting whenever opportunity come, Thank you guys 👏 5 stars.

The food was good but one particular staff member was highly inappropriate. This may have changed as my review was based on my one and only visit about 3.5 years ago. The reason I'm posting a review now is that my phone number is now being used for marketing purposes without my consent.

First time here for a takeaway, I couldn't be more impressed, the food was delicious. In the bag was 2 poppadoms 4 dips and vegetables free. There was enough for a meal the next day. Definitely worth a visit. Many thanks to the staff who were very polite and helpful..

I booked a table for 2 , both of us are electric wheelchair users, when we arrived for our reservation, we were told by the staff there that the restaurant is Not Wheelchair Accessible and therefore we could not access our table or the restaurant, We had to find a different restaurant in Alton which was wheelchair accessible. This is extremely embarrassing, frustrating and unfair as a wheelchair user , not to be able to eat at a restaurant because it is not accessible and I had to therefore cancel my booking .

I have been a repeat customer of Miftas and cannot criticise the food, it's top notch. The reason for my less than 5* review is that I desperately want my friend who has accessibility needs to dine with me.

Food was good, overall good value for money, a bit annoying that they did not take cards

Takeaway from Mifta’s was speedy and still piping hot, huge portion of chicken tikka masala, pilau rice and poppadoms - enough curry there for two of us! We had the pleasure of dining here for Mifta’s 5 year anniversary (Nov 2023) and everything served was DELICIOUS, also half price!! We took our family from South Africa, who had never tasted anything like a Korma or Masala. They were impressed! I made the mistake of not asking for any coriander on my Lamb Rogan, but enjoyed it nonetheless. We had our 3 month old baby, Mifta and team didn’t bat an eyelid - but it definitely helped that she was quiet and as good as gold the entire time. Staff are great, food was great, atmosphere was great. 5* from us!

This restaurant is so fantastic. Really top quality Indian food and a vast menu with many very interesting options from mild to hot. I’ve eaten here many times and it always impresses. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and usually the food arrives quite quickly too. Tonight has the “Alton Lounge”, a tandoori chicken dish with tomatoes and peppers that was like a taste explosion in my mouth. Wonderful. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Excellent Monday ‘banquet.’ (so many restaurants are cheating these days but here… varied menu, very tasty starter of prawns. Then garlic chicken tikka.. great flavours and value. Honest food with charming, courteous and attentive staff. Well done! We’ll be back!

If you love oily curries packed with articifial colours then this is the perfect restaurant. We had a takeaway and it was awful. Incredibly oily, bright red (becuase they add a powdered red food colouring to the spice mix) and the spice flavours were masked by a bitter taste caused by the red food colouring. The sheeh kebab was dry with a sawdust texture and the lamb very chewy. The mix grill was swimming in oil and the heavy amount of tumeric stained our fingers, plates and work surfaces. The onion salad was served in a plastic bag which was covered in oil which leaked ftom the containers which the curry was in! The food was an insult to the food insustry and is most definitely NOT indian food.

Gave up on our telephone order after two hours. Five phone calls , “he’s on his way” four times until eventually we gave up. We live 5 minutes drive away. Consistently lied to me on progress over the phone. Will never order from here again. Terrible customer service. I have no idea how they are still in business.

Very good local Indian. We went on a feast night - mixed starter was excellent. Main curries very good. Portions are large so we will return but probably on a normal evening. Service is friendly and efficient and the restaurant is very comfortable. Wold recommend it

Had a Take-Away from MIFTA's tonight - generous sized portions and absolutely delicious as always. Staff very polite & friendly too.

The food is great (usually), but not today, it arrived cold & greasy. The delivery service is terrible, they are ALWAYS VERY late, despite an £8 delivery charge. But what really stinks is the attitude if you dare to call to ask why your food is 45 mins late, seriouly rude. I'd advise either eat in or don't bother, unless you like your food cold.

Really good food, especially their banquet nights. Thoroughly recommend it. Went with friends, had a fab evening out as it’s such a relaxed atmosphere in a nice setting.

We visited on a buffet evening. Service was attentive and polite. Food was very nice. We would recommend the spinach side dishes, king prawn puri and tandoori chicken. Only complaint was that there was no air con. It was a hot day!

I had a delicious meal at Mifta's. The restaurant is immaculately clean, the table linens and place settings are lovely. The colors and lighting are very pleasing. My only complaint is that the air conditioning was set too cold.

Came in for a last minute biryani and I'm glad I did! The biryani was the best of my life and the staff were very friendly and the beer was good too! Keep it up guys, if your service and food is this good then you'll do well!

Very welcoming staff, looked after our table without being intrusive. The food was good, the Tandoori mixed grill was all very tasty, well cooked, and not over dry as often happens. Would happily eat here again.

Had a lunch on Bank Holiday Monday, only one other couple in. Food was good and a nice sized serving with lovely flavours. The problem with the service is that the on this visit and our last one it was very quiet and so staff didn’t have much to do. This meant they kept walking over, which in the end felt like we were being watched and almost felt we should hurry up and get out. They were not rude, just too much time on their hands. It is a large restaurant so in the quiet times they have a beautiful curtain to divide the restaurant in half, giving it a smaller and therefore cosier. Food and drink prices are mid range cost, wine comes in about £24 a bottle.

Visited today. Not impressed at all with the service. They had no manners, clearing plates without one of us not finishing our starters. Not even finished the mains and they tell us they closed 5 minutes prior and rushed us out the door and being rude to when paying and wouldn't allow us to see the bill. Staff just wearing tracksuits. I understand we were the only ones in there on a Sunday afternoon and would have rather they recommend we cancel as we were the only ones dining and they were in a hurry to close. Only positive was the food tasting lovely, but that isn't enough for us to return. Very disappointed.

Food fabulous service amazing - why only one star you might ask - my husband and I and two friends went there - the bill was £128 - we round it up to £140 with a £12 tip . We paid £70 per couple but the following day we realised they had taken £73 off both of us without our permission - feel as though we hard been robbed - I know it was only £3 per couple but that was not the point - they’d had a good tip why add / steal an extra £3 !!! Check your receipts people sadly we didn’t !!!!

First and last time we go there.First mistake they got the naan breads wrong to what we ordered so had to wait for those to be replaced .Food was ok but after meal i asked if i could have a coffee was told we do coffee but we are to busy so i said ok bring me the bill ,after ten minutes it had still not come so asked another waiter for the bill still was not delivered so in the end went up to the counter let them know i was not happy and paid the bill .Will not use again thought i would try them but will use the other restaurants in Alton in future .

Normally I order a takeaway online and the service is quick, staff friendly and the food excellent. I dined in with my family for the first time and the dishes were tasty, the food prompt and the service was very good apart from one bald waiter who was rude, tried to upsell dishes and got the order wrong. When paying the bill, he even took my credit card and tapped it on the console without letting me see the amount being charged. My whole family remarked on his attitude all evening. Without the latter experience, this would be a five star review.

Absolutely incredible. Having moved into the local area and previously having a world of Indian restaurants in driving distance, we had no idea how good our new locals would be. Miftas blew out expectations out the water and was easily the best Indian takeaway we have had in the last 5 years. So much flavor it was a pleasant surprise! Will be ordering again soon!

Great food. Hot and tasty! One thing that put us off, when paying by card and we didn't leave a card tip, as we prefer tipping with cash. The waiter points out we didn't leave a tip on the card and gives us a death stare. He wasn't very friendly throughout the meal. It's customers choice how they want to tip or how much.

Such a shame that often the delivery service fails and we end up with an order much later than we should have done. Mifta should keep clients updated instead of hanging up on the phone when we call to see where the order.

What a lovely surprise, another gem of a curry place in Alton. I especially loved my first takeaway from here last night for the variety! We had 5 different curries, and all were totally different. As a pescatarian it was heaven, the vegetable, paneer side. King prawn and salmom curries were all delicious. I will definitely be back. Yummy 😋

Had a lovely dining experience at Mifta’s, with quick and friendly service. The restaurant is beautiful alongside clean and spacious. Dining in and out of Mifta’s is always a delight. The biryani is my go to dish, was serviced in a stunning authentic Indian dish. I look forward to my next dine in or take away from Mifta’s. Definitely recommend to give them a visit.

We accidentally found Mifta's Indian Restaurant... and although I am not keen on Indian food generally, still (agreed) went to dine in. My goodness! What an amazing time I am so glad I did. The staff were great and helpful - not sure of the reviews here but I had no problems whatsoever with the team there; very polite, attentive and respectful. The food - THIS is where the story starts - as someone who isn't a fan of Indian food, this completely changes the narrative. The food was absolutely fantastic; cooked perfectly, seasoned correctly and the right portions / amount. The price was exactly where I thought it should be. Did I mention how good the food was?? (it was that good btw). For me, when the team lined up as we left, I found that to be the most respectful gesture and thank you for that. So, would I recommend Mifta's - Yes, 100% as I (we) will be going back AND more than prepared to drive the 40 mins to get there. I would also be very happy to take and recommend to family and friends too. Thank you again for a nice evening. Iain
