The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

We usually eat in and have never had any issues. Made an order for delivery to arrive for 17:20, no communication given to state it wouldn’t arrive. Checked on the app eg 17:35 and it had changed to be delivered at 18:30 - arrived at 17:30. Most of the food was cold. Although the wings were really tasty the Curry tasted like tomato soup. Won’t bother again.

Recently spent my 70th Birthday here with a group of 26 of my dear friends and neighbours. Service and meals were both excellent, couldn't fault them,. Variety of meals were excellent for everybody. Service was tremendous, very thoughtful, attention details,excellent Highly Recommended

used to be alot better here. food turned up cold and delivery driver dropped it while holding the bag weird. wasn't just that delivery though. last couple have been poor

Such a cosy place, excellent and attentive staff. Good food and portions. And we got a Christmas card from them! So sweet of them!

Came in for drinks, had a great time, Chloe is a gem!

This has to be the worst restaurant I’ve ever visited The staff are rude and the decor was painted by Stevie Wonder. There is also an awful smell like the carpets are damp or something We both had Tandoori dishes which were swimming in oil and the meat was burnt. We were both ill afterwards, my wife was ill for a few days whereas I was ill for nearly 3 weeks!!!!!!! Never ever will we return

On New Year’s Day we hosted 15 family members. We anticipated that we may not be in the best place to prepare food for the family, so asked the Spice of Bengal to help us out. They went above and beyond to provide us with a banquet of delicious food - it was prompt, hot and very well priced. If you’re having a similar event, I can highly recommend getting the Spice of Bengal to cater for it. I’ll definitely be using them again!!

Ooo woo full ordered food Xmas eve for 7.30 told not ordered another 2 hours never will use again

Let's be honest, someone only makes the time to write a review of something was really good or if something needs to be addressed. We went to this restaurant about a year ago and yes the food was very good. I did have one issue. We had friends who wanted to try it out. I was hesitant but I said ok. The problem I mention, was when I went to pay for the meal. They make me feel really uncomfortable by shoving the card reader in my face and saying tip? I found this rude the first time, we went. I clicked the button and the tip was quite large. For £60 meal it was like an extra £20. Which yes for great service that could be justified. So this time round,I was like I hope they don't do that again. Can you guess what happened? The same again, you say? Yep. Just shoved the card reader in my face and said tip. If people want to give a tip. They should do that on their on accord and not feel pressurised into it. I would definitely not go back, just because of this one aspect. Is this petty. I don't think so. As it's obviously what they do. As twice now the exact same thing has happened. The food was pretty good, but mostly irrelevant. It was because the food was good that this got a 3/5. If they didn't do this annoying thing with the tip, this score would definitely be higher. I sadly cannot go any higher. As I was rating the meal on the overall experience and this aspect really let it down for me.

Great food, great staff, great atmosphere Had dinner at the Ramadan again last night we had a fabulous meal and the staff were very warm and welcoming and so attentive.
