Came in here quite late at night, when pretty much every where was closed. But they did me a tasty vegetable curry. Cheers!

I have been here several time and every time I order curry and naan bread, their naan bread is fluffy, and their curry is fairly nice too, which goes extremely well with naan bread. A fast food shop setting so don't expect service.

No way they open till 1am. Not sure even if till 8pm. They close quite early

This is where diarrhea makes a living. Looks like a converted public toilet inside. The staff are friendlier than a dog with a rabies. Tables look like prison benches. Basically if you value your digestive system don't eat here and find a bin in the vicinity to eat out of for something more hygienic.

Visited for late breakfast. Keema curry, chapati, rice and Pakistani tea. Less than £15 for a feast. Delicious food. Got a takeaway too to have for dinner.

Excellent meal, lamb kebabs with naan bread. My friend had chicken biryani which looked and tasted fantastic. Naan was freshly cooked, very light and fluffy. Will definitely visit again, highly recommended 🤩

This is a brilliant place to eat, I usually get takeaway but I take it home to Scotland this visit I bought 10 lamb curry it’s amazing!! I take home in cool box and freeze as can’t get this quality curry in Scotland been going to Al Fazals since they were across the road 30 years nearly and still fabulous

Retro-style establishment with about 6 tables. Rich, rich, rich, delicious curry. Chicken and lamb. They serve it to you with a bowl of chopped coriander and another of very finely chopped chilli. Accompany it with white rice and a delicious freshly made naan. On each table you have your jug ​​of water: you will need it.

Good food and friendly staff, but the restaurant needs better cleanliness. Unwelcoming atmosphere with unfriendly acquaintances of the staff staring.

So we stumbled upon this hole in the wall, and boy was it a good day to stumble. My first shout-out has to go to the cute chef upfront. He is SO NICE. All the staff were super cordial, not too chatty but also kinda? Best combo no? Let's talk food. The naan was soft, nay, melting in our mouths; and with their keema curry was a bomb combo ngl. Adding cubes of potatoes into this lush curry was the cherry on top for me. Chana daal was also delish, but could do with a wee bit of kick. Any kind of daal thrives on the chilliness of it all; imho. All in all, if you're looking for a quick bite(they served us in under 6mins), this is a good one.

When in England this is a must I usually buy between 5-10 curries to take back to Scotland visited this place for nearly 40 years amazing

It was not the place the food ordered was not good it’s just rice and lamb and not biryani I would not order biryani but maybe I suggest you guys try curries or shawarma I guess Lamb was cooked well also 8 quid for this portion of meal is not good price Ratings here I guess it’s a scam :( unfortunately

I had a lamb curry with naan, the naan is freshly made but the curry was prepared already heating in the store, the lamb is not fresh and taste a bit off with some acidic flavour, my stomach is not so well after.

I visited al Faisal tandoori in the city center since this was the one of the few places that came in top results when searching for "halaal" and was close. Now generally Faisal tandoori isn't bad. It's one of those typical places which offer donor kebab, pizza, fried chicken etc. I didn't expect too much from this place , I ordered their pizza and since I didn't expect much it wasn't disappointing. It was exactly what you can expect from a small time fast food place. The hygiene was on point, and the food seemed fresh although it didn't have much taste of any kind. I had an inkling to try their biryani but I decided not to. They have a menu up on the wall when you enter on the left, and you could make your selection there. The prices are also relatively tame. If you are Punjabi speaking you can hear the employees communicating in Punjabi and that was nice to hear. I probably won't visit this place again, but it was a good experience.

It is said a restaurant is judged by how good their biryani is. Well, this place nailed it! We ordered lamb biryani, and we were surprised by how good it was. Spicy, rice beautifully cooked, piping hot, it was amazing!

Ordered 2x12inch pizzas. One came halfway out the back of the box. Whilst both were cold and tasteless. The garlic bread with mozzarella cheese was also very basic and hard and tasteless. My first time in Manchester and made the big mistake of ordering from here!

He claimed Pakistani/indian naan but it is not indian naan. Kabab was also half grilled.

As good as it was 20+ years ago. Simple delicious currys, great value with freshly made breads. Staff are friendly. It's basic looking but that doesn't matter, it's amazing food, great for a quick tasty lunch.

The server overpriced me which I wouldn’t have cared as much if they weren’t rude as well. They got my order wrong the first time round because they didn’t pay attention and in return they gave me and my friend judging looks. Furthermore, the portion was small for its price and the chicken was very disappointing. It did not taste nice. All in all, a very bad experience and definitely won’t be coming back here again.

Went three once and liked it, but they overcharged me the next time. Think a lot of their clientèle are drunk people after a night out so they think they can get away with it

If you want to spend almost £30 and ended up without satisfying portion then only go over there. We ordered 3 different curries with 3 naan and they came up with 3 small plates not even enough for single person. And it's cost £27. Waste of Money! And at the end he was offering £2 less because of tiny portions but I refuse and paid whole amount. I don't want his sympathy for £2 🤣 If you are in Picadelly go to better place than this. Better and cheaper!

Very good food. Fancied a curry in the early hours after a full drinking session. Decent ratings on Google and can see why. Never sure on places which sell so many different cuisines but very pleasantly surprised. Was busy which is always a good sign but food was quick, reasonably priced and staff were spot on as well.

If you don’t have the onion bhajis and chicken (tikka or shawarma = both insane) kebabs from this absolute institution…do you even know the meaning of kebab!?#GETINVOLVED x

Stepped in based on reviews for good food. Instead of chicken tikka masala on the plate was cooked chicken in some oily a bit hot thing. Not good. Naan, like warmed up from a market. Service though is great, not sure what went wrong with cooking and why.

Probably the driest, most tasteless and misely portion of kebab meat and chips that I have ever had. Would never recommend for a takeaway - even at the end of the night!

Been going here since 1997 when I was a student in Manchester and still call in now and then to stock the freezer up. I cannot fault it. No frills, Pakistani greasy spoon. Absolutely stuffed for £10. Reading some of the reviews I think people are expecting a fine dining experience. It's quick and reasonably priced quality food. Chicken Curry is the best.

This and Kabana are two of the best in Manchester. Must visit.

Congratulations, the worst kebab in my entire life goes to u, microwaved seek kebabs that tasted like dog meat. Felt like a kebab in the city centre and went to al-faisal, I wish I stayed empty stomach.

Too spicy for us even after we asked for mild. The naan was freshly made but dry so they gave us some butter. Very authentic old fashion restaurant. Could be little cleaner, we had to wipe the table. The burger was okay, would appreciate more veggies inside.

This is not a restaurant, nor is it a curry house. It’s a curry cafe that serves traditional indo-pakistani style curries that are cooked in the morning and served throughout the day and thus it should be critiqued as such. If you care for a cheeky flavourful curry in the afternoon with the trimmings and a soft drink for a tenner this place will never let you down. As a student I would visit this place every week and I always return whenever I visit Manchester. I hope you all are well, I’m so happy that you survived through the covid period.

We were in Manchester visiting my cousins and we decided to pop our for dinner. I researched and loved the reviews regarding the lamb so we decided tontry this. When I checked it said it was open and online it was open too however when we got there it wad closed with shutters up! Big disappointment!!

Ordered a special mixed kebab on a night out in Mcr... came in a small pizza box with nan bread cut into small quarters, salad and chips to make up for the small portions of meats. Tasty but nothing near worth the £12 price tag.

Famous Lamb Curry! The softest and most tenderness Lamb in Northwest. Only in London have I ever had Lamb this tender. The curry sauce is amazing! I worked locally 20± years ago. Now, all my family and children are regulars.

The lamb chops with spinach was marvelous 😋. The owner said, they do the lamb chops once in a week. So I guess we're lucky to have it. Then the Paratha, Daal and Naan bread was well done ✅. The seating area was sanitized, clean and tidy. After the meal we had Chaa-(tea) which was a perfect ending of my brunch ☺️. Well I enjoyed it, hope you will too.

Don't go at night. Overworked tired staff, looking for shortcuts. I saw: A burger patty, cooked in the deepfrier, with shredded cheese placed on it- called a cheesburger. A lad who complained that his margharita pizza looked more like garlic bread for lack of sauce. My own samosas fell apart instantly, and after begging for mango chutny I got enough for a third of my dish.

We ordered vía Just Eat and found our takeaway delicious. One of the best kebabs we have had. Would return if in the area definitely
