Came here a week ago and the food, service, atmosphere & hospitality was 10/10. Hadn't been out for an Indian for a while & was the best sit - in Indian I have had - would definitley reccommend for everyone to go down and try!

Not been in here for about 30+ years. This is one of the holy trinity that is still open, the Khandoker, the Phool Bag and the Kushen Koly. To be honest I wasn't expecting much, but the food was excellent. There are not many places where the lamb melts in your mouth, it does on here, and the menu is superb. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous food, everyone was delicious and came hot! There was nothing I could have requested for improvements. I have tasted many Indian restaurants and this was by far the most fresh tasting.

Absolutely amazing food! How they acheive such wonderful flavours throughout their food, is a testament to the talents of the chef. The staff are lovely too, so it's a win win if you eat here, and you really should! The portion sizes are larger than expected, especially for the prices and everthing is presented beautifully.

Really nice curry, one of the best I’ve had in a while and it’s always consistent

My favourite curry I've had in Manchester. We had the takeaway and were blown away. We had chicken korma and a lamb makoni and I haven't stopped thinking about it since. Ate it in complete silence 🤤 we sat in the restaurant another time, and it was equally delicious . The waitress was so friendly and nice and we felt very comfortable

Check your bill before paying! We were scammed. Celebrated New Year’s Eve here with friends and ended up waiting over 2 hours for our main course. Whenever we asked for help from the waiters and waitresses, we were told to wait a minute and then no one came back. Complained to staff and received money off our bill, only to find out later that they had overcharged us by nearly £80 anyway! Food was lovely but not worth it.

Added around 25% to our bill for no reason

The food was lovely here with generous portions, staff very polite and attentive and it was good value. Overall can definitely recommend a visit thank you.

Absolutamente FABULOSA cena de aniversario aquí en Khandoker esta noche - el Sr. Ali atendió nuestras necesidades con gran cuidado. Mi marido me preguntó cómo calificaría la comida - le pregunté "de 10?" (sí) , luego respondí "15". Muy delicioso. Disfrutamos mucho de poppadums con chutnies, seguido de: Pollo Tandoori, pollo Tikka Masala, King Langostino Roshon, Pollo Jalfrezi, Aloo Methi, Pilau Vegetal, Basmati al vapor y Paratha Vegetal. Naturalmente, mientras entro en esta reseña, mi marido está ocupado en encajonar las sobras abundantes para que las disfrutemos en casa.

Comida de graduación para mi hija. Puedo ver por qué a mi hija le encanta comer aquí. El servicio es inmediato y la comida es increíble. Trajimos un pastel sorpresa para mi hija y el personal amablemente encontró unas velas que ella podría tener la experiencia completa de celebración de pastel! Hija recibió una mini botella de Prosseco de cortesía cuando nos fuimos, lo que fue una sorpresa encantadora. Definitivamente volveremos en el futuro. Gracias a todo el personal de Khandoker por hacer de nuestra comida una pequeña celebración encantadora 🍾 🎓

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC SERVICE and BEAUTIFUL FOOD .The staff are extremely nice and help full . The value for money is excellent. There is also ample parking at the side of the building. THANK YOU TO THE STAFF.

Worst restaurant ever. Rude staff. Food cold. Curry full of grease. I didn't pay. Got up and told them they'll be getting a visit from a food standards officer.

My wife and I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The staff were attentive but not overbearing and the food was incredibly moorish and well priced. Will definitely be returning.

I have frequented this establishment on two occasions now and never been disappointed. Upon arrival, expect to be welcomed by a courteous and friendly young lady and waiters. With enough time being give to comfortably place orders. Above all waiters have never been too far away or hard to get the attention of when having a query. At sight, the restaurant was clean and well lit, and it’s great to see the car park has had some work done to it too! One downside being a small number of toilets, however, on both occasions there toilets have been above standard in regard to cleanliness! I had opted for a Chicken Tikka sizzler, and a Chicken Madras. With sides of rice and poppadoms. On both occasions… Now, on both occasions I have been left wanting more! Devastated at the sight of my empty plate! The cost of food is very reasonable when taken into account, how fresh and delicious it tasted! There is also a selection of beers and house wines to wet the whistle, or cool down after something spicy, and a great selection too! Upon asking for the bill, the young lady, I can’t remember her name was a credit to the business. Me and friends asked a little more info about the establishment, and she was on hand to inform us, and couldn’t thank us enough for our custom. Card and Cash payments welcome! Sometimes the service can be just as important as the food! Keep up the good work, hoping to be back in the area later in the year for round 3!

Flavours and taste in all the dishes are really good, always have been at Khaandoker but what sets the best restaurants apart are the logistics and the small details, my Chicken Karahi was kinda dry, with little sauce. My Peshwaari Naan was burnt and my Bombay potato’s weren’t cooked long enough. Tarka Daal was the best I’ve had it from anywhere. You should prepare the chicken based on how long it’s going to steam in the takeaway boxes. Thanks!

Sat 29 June 2024 absolute shocking services from this once lovely restaurant went with my husband and our friends. The whole staff were rude the lady who was seeing to our table reeked of alcohol very loud and not very well spoken. The drinks tasted stale food is not fresh! Tasted very bland the toilets were outrageous not much pride in this business looks like it’s ran by thugs

The venue is terrible. Let’s start with the parking: dreadful, dirty, litter in parking. Inside resto there were flies (more than one). No insectocutor in sight. One of the table is facing what looks like an improvised totally disordered store room….Mop sticks in plain sight, absolutely horrible and ive never seen that inside a restaurant. Very bad image, never would go again.

We've been there a few times, never had any problems, food really nice, however last time we went, a little old Indian guy was quite rude and impatient, he also tried to charge four of us £130 for our meal (which wasn't as nice as previous meals we've had) we didn't even have drinks! I'm convinced we were ripped off. Never again will we step foot in that place. Also, one of the staff was renting house out, when my friend went to view it it was 'absolutely filthy and disgusting' she couldn't wait to get out. And that's member of STAFF !!!!!

Ordered takeaway from here tonight all the way to Offerton. Food was really tasty, portions were good and we all enjoyed it. Would definitely order from here again.

Really good food! Have had madras and butter chicken here plenty of times. Best butter chicken ever. Both chicken and lamb are very tender. Don’t go to the one next door which is their takeaway counterpart - for some reason the taste is not even comparable despite being owned by the same family. Never sat down but the staff are always nice and chatty when I get a takeout. Please could we lower the prices a bit for takeaway? 😁

This place is the worst food Ive actually hate out of took 1 fork full and left the my main course and complained so did my wife they charged full price as complained the food was terrible and we left the mains avoid at all cost terrible staff

Delivery was 15 mins late but, that was ok as the food made up for it.

Just got back from an evening meal at Khandoker tonight and we thoroughly enjoyed every bit of our food. The Madras was just the right amount of spice and the onion bhajis were delicious and crispy!!! Everything was full of flavour 😊

Called in spontaneously after a trip to the cinema. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated straight away. Service was excellent throughout our visit, food was fresh, delicious & good portions. This was our first visit, and we will definitely be returning.

We visited tonight with my husbands cousin and aunt. Absolutely brilliant. Good service, the most amazing food....so tasty and fresh.......just lovely......we will be visiting again ASAP.

*Apparently this is the takeaway not the restaurant!* The restaurant is actually really good! The takeaway is a different matter entirely. The worst kind of BIR curry. More oil than sauce, literally inches deep in oil. Even the onion bhaji in the mixed grill was thick with grease. Avoid. A waste of money.

Not been here since the 80s. Food was amazing and served with great care and attention. Won’t be leaving it so long next time! I’m not local but will definitely travel to come here again

Food arrived late over an hour, food tray was damaged, sauce was all over the order, food was cold and guy on the phone was really arrogant. NOT RECOMEDED AT ALL!!!! On top of that they are trying to refund just a part of that I've paid! Shocking!!!

Never use the delivery service, 1 hour late and ordered 3 hours ago. No help from the restaurant as to why the delivery driver had driven past my area to deliver to another area. More planning needs to be done on routes and for when the orders were placed as to order of delivery. Food stone cold and won’t use again

Ordered once a week for the last few weeks now and all times really consistent! Have to say this is the best massala around town, so flavoursome and in depth! All the sides and sundries are lovely too! Definitely recommend

Absolutely love this place. We order take away from the restaurant often and it never disappoints. The food is always cooked fresh and is super tasty. They do all the vegetable sides so well! (Actually difficult to find an Indian restaurant that still does all of these as sides). Such good value for money and staff are always friendly. Would highly recommend.

New favourite! Let's see: the Chicken pakora were really nice. Not too greasy - just properly cooked and with a nice spice level - superb! Chicken Tikka Massalla was genuine! Really nice! Very tasty, and especially happy that the sauce was a proper Massalla sauce! Plus a generous portion of chicken! Also ordered rice and a naan and both were great! Plus, the food was delivered really fast, hot - and fresh! WILL ORDER AGAIN!

Pre ordered for 7:15 came at 6:47. Perhaps easier for the driver but not for me. Food was acceptable.

We ordered a takeout as was highly recommended by friends. Sadly order was stone cold, poppadoms tasted of old oil, bhajis however were lovely after being warmed up in the oven, and sadly the curry was the worst curry we've ever had, the chicken was tough as old boots and the sauce bland. Just never again, what a waste of £30.

I went with a couple of work colleagues. We have been trying out many different Indian restaurants in the south Manchester area for several years. This time it was the turn of khandoker. The food was spot in. I had lamb Naga and the lamb was meat not fatty at all and the Naga had some decent heat to it, unlike a lot of other places. The onion rice was great, and I could have eaten that on its own. As is usua with these jaunts, we were there early doors on a Wednesday and the restaurant wasn't busy, so difficult to comment on the service, but what we had was good and very friendly. I will certainly go back there again, and one of the colleagues has family in the area and has recommended khandoker to them. Overall a good evening well spent.

Bought a lamb dupiaza and it was completely flavourless. The Garlic naan I bought to go with it had more about it. Won't be back.

Poor Indian food. Dhansak flavour was good but tiny amount of veg, and swimming in grease. Naan was weird and not cooked in the middle. I wouldn't go again. I've had worse but not by much..

I've been going to Khandoker for 13 years. The last four or five times I've promised I won't go back for a variety of reasons. But after last night, that's it. We went in as a table or two at 18:30. We waited 1 hr and 20 minutes for our food to arrive due to a big take away order. We were over charged by more than £10 (we were in a rush and only noticed this morning) and we were - as always - sold flat fizzy drinks from a big bottle. £2.95 for that. Just never going back. I like the young lad in there, we've been going for more than a decade but no more.

Was in this place on the 14th with a couple of mates they'd never been here before ive been going for the past 30yrs they loved it and for me its a great place always has been try it

Very good freshly cooked curries. I phoned our order, no delivery option. Car parking available adjacent to the restaurant. Kitchen and staff all looked v clean and were friendly. I did have to wait 10 mins ontop of 40 min time from my phoned order. Highly recommended!

Took my dad down to this restaurant as I’ve heard amazing things! And can’t fault them. All staff were friendly & the food was to die for. I recommend getting a tandoori mixed grill.

Went for a meal only to receive really poor service, average food and to add insult at the end decided to charge us 10% for a service charge on our bill. Easy to see why place is completely empty, won't be going back again mediocrity!!!!!!

Me and my partner visited for the first time this evening. Fantastic food and service, really impressed with everything. The naan bread was the best I’ve ever had, Chicken so tender and fresh, popadoms made in house. Can’t recommend enough! We will be back! X
