The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

I've dined at The Pearl on two occasions and both of them have been excellent. As you walk in, you are met by friendly staff and a well stocked bar. If it's a curry, then it has to be a Cobra for me...and The Pearl's is on point. The food is of fantastic quality and the menu provides a vast range of dishes for all curry lovers. There is a large choice of traditional dishes to enjoy too. I chose to have Karahi Gosht (mutton dish) and it was absolutely superb. The meat was succulent and extremely flavoursome. This is a truly great restaurant with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. It has to be a five star rating and I highly recommend.

We discovered this restaurant one valentines evening, and return regularly. The food is lovely, I eat a mild curry, but don't always want the red sweet curries that most restaurants serve as a mild curry, if you pick a mild curry with other flavors you get it, Great! The staff are attentive and very welcoming. Great! Thanks

The Onion Bhajee at Mamataz Tandoori is a crowd-pleaser! Crispy, light, and bursting with flavor.

Excellent service but this restaurant falls short when it comes to portion size. Considering the price, you would expect more. The portion size is ideal for one person, and that’s if you’re not feeling too hungry. It’s a shame because the food tasted nice. I know many restaurants like these, pricey but small portions, and unfortunately I don’t return to them.

Ordered for delivery, pre booked for 6.20pm delivery - £70 spent on our meal, turned up 30 minutes late, all food cold, portions are shocking for the prices. Currently having to reheat meals we’ve paid £70 for… Unfortunately wouldn’t recommend from our impressions.

Uber order. Jalfrezi, rice, Nan and some picky bits. I ordered at peak time so didn’t expect it to turn up in 20 mins but worth the wait. It the first time and I have to say, Good clean box standard Bangladeshi curry and cooked to perfection. Bang on the money.

Usually order the same thing, fancied a change. Disappointed, ordered something medium spicy but it was bland and tasteless. I will go back to the usual, chicken tikka balti, always excellent

Food was luke warm when it arrived. Had to reheat it all.

Some close friends and I enjoyed a lovely meal at Lingfield Tandoori, service was quick and friendly. Food was great tasting. Will definitely come back!

I thought I would have a change from my usual Indian but wish I hadn't! This had more stars so was expecting a better quality. The food was hardly warm. The garlic naan didn't smell or taste of garlic but was clearly a plain( cheaper) one . The samosa pastry was hard. Didn't enjoy it at all.😞

Servicio absolutamente impactante... Cotizado 45 minutos para una entrega y perseguido por teléfono 3 veces y finalmente recibió la comida 2 horas después... Ridículo modo telefónico. No volveré a usar estos... .

Not the normal quality I was a tad disappointed to be honest being a regular customer lacked taste depth

Too much sauce which was very runny. Could have been thicker tbh. Everything else fresh but mains felt a little light on ingredients.
