This is a nice venue with large sharing platters perfect for families. Friendly service and good quality food.

Once again 2 superb biriyanis. Chicken for me and vegetable for by partner. Very tasty with enormous helpings. Great quality and value for money. Promp and polite service. Will return again soon.

I had a fantastic dining experience at Royal Punjab. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with elegant decor that gave the place an authentic Punjabi touch. The service was excellent friendly, efficient, and helpful with menu suggestions. To start, we ordered a mixed grill platter that arrived sizzling and full of flavor — a perfect way to kick off the meal. For the main course, we had the lamb karahi, which was absolutely delicious. The lamb was tender and cooked that paired beautifully with fresh naan and fragrant bas The cookie dough was perfect and soft also the karak chai was amazing :) Highly recommended 👌

Just a fake hype! Have visited twice and got worst food ……wont recommend anyone ever again bcz the quantity they serve in very high prices is soo small . We have ordered golgappe and asked for extra water but all we got is jst small glass which wasn’t enough for evn two golagappe👎🏻👎🏻

Good food, good decor, great service, will definitely reccomend and revisit. Good atmosphere and nice decor. I will say one thing when we had the tea please maje sure your mugs are not chipped or have tea stains on it as this is a let down on your perfect food. Good location and parking is available.

Worse service ever today. Been here few times before and had no complaints but today the service was so slow and the food were given at different times n drinks after a while when we specified it to be given with the food The staff were not friendly or organised n professional What has happened to the service ????

I been few days ago with family for iftaar. Food was tasty not much big selection but everything cooked perfectly i liked lsmb karahi personally spacious sitting area nice and quite atmosphere.

A little gem of a place, food has actual flavour. The desserts are also lovely, especially the gajar-halwa. Definitely one on my favourite list

Very bad experience. Been last week for iftaar buffet but wasn't anything good to eat price was same as the big buffets in Birmingham but in starters only get potat rolls and samosa and some dry fried chicken nothing else. No desserts and no drinks including pay 20 ph pound just for rolls and samosas keep in mind vegetables one note chicken or meat.

One of the best restaurants I have been to. Their buffet is superb and quality & freshness of food is amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant for people wishing to try authentic South Asian cuisine .

Went for Iftar dinner. Bar BQ was excellent. Staff attitude was very good. Cons: 1. One extra water bottle was charged 4£ which is a cruelty I think. 2. From market 6 bottles in less than 3£ while in this restaurant one bottle in 4£, too much. 3. 10-year-old child is considered as adult for payment which is also not good I think. 4. Tea was not part of Buffet, which should be I think. 5. Few items including fruit chart were not fresh.

I have yet to visit this restaurant however I have had the pleasure of ordering takeout from this establishment and the experience so far has been very satisfying. The quality of their grill food is excellent, I cannot fault the quality of meats and poultry. The seekh kebabs are exquisite, full of flavour and spice and generously proportioned. Either is being a takeaway for delivery, the food has arrived packaged well but more importantly piping hot straight from the tandoori. I will be visiting the restaurant to try the dishes and will follow this review….

The food was lovely, but very costly and the portions are extremely small. Staff had to be called a few times for attention before making my order. Lamb karahi and Malai chicken are very delicious. Total bill including 2 chicken burger meals came to around £55 Parking is avaiable on restaurent grounds. Will definately visit again for the royal breakfast which I am told is tasty.

Authentic Punjabi/Pakistani food with a very friendly service. Do not miss the awesome Mango Lassi, and go for the full jar!

Ordered a delivery to work. Came when requested. Best tasting biriyani and keema naan I've ever had. Food came piping hot Only negative was the mint dip rather sour and not very minty and not pleasant but that's my personal taste. Everything else amazing and will re order 100%

Good: Lamb sheekh kebabs were fresh and a good size. They will set up a small prayer space in the corner upon request. Free 2 hour parking in shared space once the car reg is registered in the restaurant tablet. Provided tap water. Improvements: Boneless chicken used in tikka, curry and biryani tasted rubbery like it was poor quality that had been defrosted in hot water. They need to use fresh non-frozen chicken, especially for the price Pilau rice portion was very small. Keema naan has very little meat in it and not proper keema (tatsed like processed blended raw meat type), especially for price. Charge for basic salad that most places give as complimentary.

Jan 2025 - Dinner tonight was at the Royal Punjab, and again, it didn't disappoint. Rather, the experience was outstanding, maybe the best place in Walsall for Halal food. The service from start to finish was top notch and the food delicious and portions very generous. I recommend the Paneer and lamb sheek kebab for starters, and for the main course, the Tarka Daal was incredible. Have you tried the coconut ice cream? It went really nice with the mango, perfect combination, and it's a must try. 2023 review - Went for breakfast Saturday morning, what's not to love! Brilliant service and ambience for Walsall is 5/5. Top service.

I previously visited Royal Punjab Restaurant in Walsall and enjoyed their tawa, which was delicious. However, my recent experience was disappointing. I ordered the grill and chicken karahi, but the chicken was bland, overly sweet, and had hard pieces. The seekh kebabs and ribs from the grill were undercooked as well. Unfortunately, this visit fell far short of expectations, and I won’t be returning.

I spent 35 pound here and I simply asked for two pairs of gloves and the staff said they don't have gloves. Food was absolutely teribble will never purchase from here again

Went first time to try Chicken Biryani. Worst Biryani I ever ate. No Biryani Taste, chicken was just boiled, tasteless rice & tasteless chicken.

A great family evening here. Service was great by all the waiters who were very welcoming and attentative. We ordered the tawa for 2-3 and I'd say it would feed 3-4 comfortably. The food was fresh and very tasty and authentic, the lamb karahi was very flavoursome along with the starters. The atmosphere was clean and fresh with plenty of space for families to dine. Finished off with a glass of mango lassi which I would recommend just to end the evening. Definitely recommended 👌

Food is reasonable, service is good (they checked on allergies for us) with a small range of traditional desserts.

Have seen this place loads of times and today we tried it. The menu is limited. We ordered a small mixed grill which for some reason comes with fries. We didn't want fries so asked if we could change it for something else. We were told no. So no option. 2 popadoms. Salad, chicken on the bone and asked for it to have extra sauce. Lamb saag. Chapati. Naan. Plain yoghurt. Raita, (which for some reason came with popadoms we sent it back) the mixed grill was ok, not spicy enough. Now the mains. We asked for authentic. It was not. The chicken came with hardly any sauce, we asked for more, was told. We'd have to pay more. We declined. The lamn saag. Omg!! Pure oil. This was in both dishes but in the saag it was settling on the spoon!! We just packed up and left We had 3 different waiters, the communication was very hard. The printer wasn't working for the bill. The place was just eat and go. No atmosphere. If you want a tummy ache from the dishes. Please do go. This is aimed at a certain community. Which when we looked round noticed. The coke was bloody expensive!! Absolutely a waste of £60!!

We ordered a lamb karahi 1kg with 2 naans and 3 rotis, the lamb karahi was so hard to bite on that it had to be thrown awa, I complained all the manger was doing was making excuses and kept telling staff his not there to answer calls, today he told me to complain on uber eats, when uber eats themself have said the restaurant have to give me a refund or replacement, I have contacted the health authority and giving them this bad review so no one gets messed around or get money wasted, I wouldn’t bother with this place

The store manager Danish Mohsin is disrespectful and rude. I came with my family a couple months back and despite verifying my car reg on the tablet I was issues with a car fine. Despite providing Danish with the fine details and transaction receipts he has been nothing but unhelpful!! He originally told me to send the charging notice letter and he would get it cancelled but now almost two months later and the fine being increased, his telling I have to ring the parking facility directly. He has been sending me in circles for months, wasting my time. I will be warning my family and friends to not waste their time and money at this place.

First time dining at the Royal Punjab , I would highly recommend, the service was excellent, the food absolutely delicious the best butter chicken curry I've had , beautiful flavours. I asked if it was possible to order a cheese and garlic naan as it wasn't on the menu, without any quibble at all it was yes 😊. I will most definitely return with my family.

Butter chicken is very delicious first time i like the chicken which is exactly indian style but quantity is verl less atleast full that plastic box chicken piece is very gud bit gravy is little bit less

Food was good but the service was terrible. Our plates weren’t cleared even though we asked twice. We asked for tea to be given after food but we had to wait over 40 minutes for it, once we got the tea it was very cold.

The food was nice, i ordered grilled food but they never give you salad, I can’t understand why, it’s the forth or fifth time I’ve ordered, never gave salad once, I’ve worked and ran restaurants for over 30 years myself, never have I seen no salad given, customers will be going mad, even when we dined inside and I had a mixed grill, I had to ask for lemon wedges and no salad again, stop being tight, go to the nearest Sainsbury’s and get some iceberg.

Chicken tikka was awesome if youve got a metal mouth and a metal stomach...spilt a bit on the table and the table set on fire...luckily we had some free water...we were very polite to the staff even though they didn't warn us we needed metal mouths and metal stomachs....and then after they nearly set us alight and destroyed our gullets the waiter said "just leave"....highly recommended 10 out of 10 if you've got a metal mouth...the waiter with tourettes is highly recommend

Went as a group yesterday, the place and decor looked amazing. We had the Royal large Tawa, the food was fresh, delicious and the portion was really good amount. The service was really good, and special thanks out to our host Saqlain. Would recommend.

Food is always unbelievable here, along with the service which is second to none. It’s in a brilliant location in the heart of Walsall with plenty of parking. I have been here a number of times and Saqlain’s service has always been brilliant.

Visited twice for having Desi breakfast and liked it a lot. Remember to vet your car on arrival to get 2 hours free parking

Starter is perfect but the main meal is k but not perfect has starter so I can give 4.5/5 for starter n the rest is 3/5 so overall is 4/5

Had high expectations based on reviews but was bang average. Staff were friendly and attentive and food came quick. We ordered the large tawa which considering price £75 you get very little of each of meat but loads of fries for e.g 2 lamb shieks … 2 chicken shieks etc. But they were cooked nice if slightly lacking in flavour. However points were knocked off due to lamb karahi having more bones than meat.

Went for a family as was told this place is good. Ordered the Tawa that people talk about the lamb chops came out raw! Told the waiter who went and got us a couple more that were cooked we thought okay mistakes happen. However the chicken wings were undercooked and the chicken boneless curry was terrible I mean really bad the worst I’ve eaten no taste and chicken could have been cooked longer. No one asked us how the meal was so the five of us paid and left! McDonald’s would have given us a better meal not worth the money.

I recently had a disappointing experience with this restaurant. The quality of the food was significantly below expectations, offering poor value for money. My order arrived over two hours late, which set a negative tone for the meal. Upon tasting the dishes, I found the meat to be stale and lacking freshness, and overall, the flavors were absent. I was concerned about food safety and opted to consume very little of the meal. Given this experience, I regret to say that I will not be returning.

My sister and I went here for an alternative to an English for breakfast. I was a little disappointed with the vegan option if I am truly honest. However, my sister who is a meateater enjoyed her meal. This restaurant really needs to do more for vegans, should this be reviewed I would happily review my food star.

A lovely restaurant in Walsall. Plenty of seating for family and friends. Nice vibes here. Open plan restaurant and there's enough seats to find to make you comfortable. Staff are very welcoming and the food was amazing. Had a variety of starters; lamb chops, fish, samosa, Sheesh kebab. There is free parking. You just have to remember to put your registration into the system.

Went to try their Tava. The meats on their Tava was all prepared well. Their chicken was on the lighter sides of tasting but was good to say. However, their chicken seekh Kebabs were juicy and full of flavour alongside their fish as well. The chicken curry on the Tava was very nice and had a good taste, which hit the spot. The lamb curry however, didn't hit home and wasn't a favourite. Biriyani is usually a go-to food for me. However, the Biriyani on this Tava had crispy onions and the masala that they used had me leaving my Biriyani after a few bites. Least to say, I will be back again!
