Bollywood Tadkar in Walsall

First time visit for me, the environment was clean colourful and plesant, toilets very clean and nice bar area serving cobra on draught, table's will cater for large parties if required. The food was a nice portion on all course's, we came for the 3 course midweek special @ £14.99 and was good Value, very tasty food on all course's made fresh and our 8 yr old daughter enjoyed the butter chicken. We will be attending again soon with friends to spread the word, nice outlet for Rushall. Latent update: This place isn't going well, customers complaining about raw chicken, see Facebook reports, I would steer clear.

Literally just had first ever collection order, never again will I order from here. Biriarni is vile salty. Tikka looks cooked in red spicy sauce. Onion bargi omg soggy and full of grease. Nann bread is disgusting, rice no descript. Overall worst ever Indian meal ... we have eaten in many places, all over the world... Can't believe I've paid over £31 for inedible food.

Best Indian food in walsall area, keema naal and chicken tikka is best, love butter chk on bone

Had a great evening meal, there were plenty of people in there which made for a nice atmosphere with some nice music in the background. It was warm enough that I could take my coat off which is great. The food especially the main was fantastic. We had poppadoms and starters, samosa chaat and chicken wings. Mains were goan fish curry and Laal Maas with keema naan and garlic rice, all really excellent, the goan fish curry had a new taste/ingredient that I couldn't place that is something I always enjoy when eating out and I found exciting. It is clear all the food is made fresh and with fresh, good quality ingredients. The portion sizes are just right here. I always leave feeling satisfied but not over stuffed. Price is extremely reasonable for what is excellent quality food. Menus and table was clean. Decor is well maintained. Staff are pleasant and attentive, would recommend for any special event or weekend/ mid week meal. They also do breakfast!

The first time we went here the food was great, however, recently the quality has significantly dropped. Last time we ordered manchurian that was burnt, today we have ordered chilli chips which tasted stale and chilli paneer that tastes nothing like your usual chilli paneer, and portions are tiny..

Visited this restaurant with family and left absolutely disappointed. Service was poor in general, the server knew no answers to anything, kept having to go to the back to ask for everything. Ordered drinks, a can of sprite alone will set you back 2.50£!!! Food was disappointing, starters were dry/burned. The main dish was vile, way too sweet and the kitchen wouldn't offer a different replacement dish, only the same one but `improved' - absolutely disgusting. Ended up packing up and leaving. Do not recommend to anyone. Also the floors in the building are like an ice skating ring and the chairs kept sliding everywhere.

First time ordering from here and will be using again. Tasted fresh and hot. Perfect

Ordered a BEST expecting Bacon, Egg, Sausage and Tomato. It came with Beans instead of Tomato. So did not eat it. Other sandwich (Bacon, Sausage and Egg) was lovely.

The food dishes were amazing we had a veggie curry butter chicken absolutely lovely and my partner had lamb railway curry she said it was delicious and the naan bread and roti and garlic rice was so good we loved it here and will be back to try the breakfast too and what a lovely couple the owners are ,

Waited for delivery and the time kept being pushed back. Food arrived 45 mins after the initial time we were given. The driver even said he waited almost an hour for the food Ordered starters and extra poppadoms and it came with no sauces or salads we paid extra for chutney which did turn up. Every where I order from always send a salad/onion salad with starters and poppadoms plus yogurt sauce, but either these guys forgot or expect you to pay extra for what every other take away throws in Avoid it, I know I will in future

We just had the wrong order delivered charged us more than it should have been took the order back and returned it with a cold curry disgusting service reheated the chips never order from here again

Tried for the first time. Amazing flavours in everything I had. I live quite a distance from the restaurant so was surprised that they agreed to deliver, It arrived still hot. Now have to visit for an eat in...perfect.

Visited many times, always great friendly service. Food cooked fresh and to your required heat level. So much choice on the menu I just have to keep coming back! Rohit is extremely welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.

Went here couple weeks ago to celebrate my 30th birthday, food was amazing and service was good.

We went with family, the food absolutely delicious, lovely relaxed service.nothing was to much for the young lady who served us all evening.will be going again soon. Such a enjoyable evening.

Would give 0 stars is possible after experience of todays visit. Pre booked a table in the week arrived today and informed they wasn’t aware of our booking even tho confirmation message was received was told we are able to sit anywhere, once seated 20 mins later we was told to move to accommodate a party of 30 people, once we had sat down and looked at the menu we was asked do we need a drink? Ordered 3 kingfishers with the waitress (Anju) took 20 mins for her to come back and inform us that they only have in bottles as draft pump isn’t working so changed the order to cobra beers which came out flat also ordered a milkshake at the same time which didn’t come out until we had finished eating, ordered 2 kids meals before ordering the rest of the tables food so they could start eating again this wasn’t followed through correctly by staff as this came out later than the other orders. Worst customer service experienced and will not be returning, spoke to the manager on the phone as he was not in to discuss all the problems which he said they wasn’t aware of the party of 30. Poor experience all round.

We recently dined at Bollywood Tadka and had a delightful experience. The food was exceptionally tasty and delicious, leaving us thoroughly satisfied with every bite. Although the service was a bit slow, the quality of the food made it well worth the wait. We can't wait to come back and enjoy another wonderful meal!

We gave them a go for English Breakfast Sunday 9th June. We waited 25 mins for the coffee to come to the table. We waited a further 45mins for the breakfast to start coming out. I say start coming out as a plate came out with items missing and the missing items came out on separate side plates eventually. The food was cold. The restaurant did offer the breakfasts for free. They said they had issues with burners keep going out. The Just Eat driver fell asleep waiting for his pick up too so someone had a late cold breakfast that day. As the situation was dealt with appropriately and these things can happen we gave them another go today 23 June for breakfast we arrived at 8:10am. They open for customers at 8am, but when we arrived they were still tidying up from the previous nights party. They still hadn't finished that job when we left and looked very unprofessional and mucky with only half the restaurant cleaned. The breakfast came out in 30mins which is acceptable, but we also had to wait that long for the coffee too. A poached egg was asked for on one breakfast (it is an item on the menu as poached egg on toast). It came out fried. Halfway through eating the breakfast was told poached egg not possible. The breakfasts had varying degrees of heat. Black pudding and sausage were fine but the rest rather cool. The toast was white bread with melted butter. I can't see us going back after two attempts.

My wife and I had a desi breakfast today. Food was lovely and the tea was amazing. There is a variety of choices veg and non veg. The food is halal too and cooked separately. Hosts were very respectful and courteous. Will go back again definitely.

Easily the best Indian Restaurant in the area. Food is always tasty and piping hot, can tell that it is freshly prepared with good ingredients. Staff are lovely and welcoming, looking forward to trying the breakfast and lunch menus. Will definitely be back soon!

We placed an order this evening and after almost 1 hour of waiting for it we get a notification that they have cancelled it. No reason given, no apology. If you couldn’t handle the order then you should have rejected it straight away, not have us wait until the expected delivery time and then tell us you have cancelled it.

Had a great experience yesterday at this amazing restaurant. Curries with authentic North Indian taste, delicious starters and nice ambience. Prices are very reasonable and much better quality than other restaurants in Black Country. Host couple is very welcoming and friendly. Overall a great culinary experience.

We visited Bollywood Tadka on Tuesday 21st May at 7-15. We were greeted immediately and shown to our table. The food was really delicious, the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. The service was excellent. All the food has quality ingredients, cooked to perfection. If you want an authentic experience, with the highest quality ingredients, we recommend this lovely restaurant. We need to support local businesses. We’ll definitely be returning.

Just got home after a 50th birthday meal, and can safely say none of our party of 14 will ever return. Had to wait ages for poppadoms, then another 40 minutes for our starters, which were all Luke warm. Then waited another 45 minutes for our mains. First the plates were brought out, stone cold, 10 minutes later chips arrived, almost cold, another 10 minutes later food started to come out,in bits and dabs, Luke warm. My lamb bhoona was nice, when we got some knives and forks, but some curries only had 4 small pieces of chicken in. All were very poor for the very high prices that they charge. Service and price is absolutely shocking .

Nothing like a restaurant more a takeaway with a couple of unset tables Staff dressed in ordinary clothing did not seem to have any waiting experience Waited ages for service in spite of only six people seated Had to ask for glasses serviettes cutlery Poppadums arrived no sides and when requested three small pots for 10 people asked for more when arrived already eaten Requested mild on some dishes Far too spicy and had to ask for yoghurt which on paying found we had been charged for Food arrived with long waits in between meaning some half eaten and sides were already cold Then one main was missing and we were told not ordered Waitress wiped table whilst we were eating and knocked over drink Totally unprofessional Food horrible Definitely not returning

We visited the restaurant for a family gathering as it was our anniversary. Service was amazing. Owners of the restaurant are very attentive and absolutely lovely people. Food was of top quality too. They were trialing a greek menu and gave us halloumi fries complimentary and they were so tasty!! Butter chicken, aloo tikki chaat and pani puri were absolutely divine! Naan bread was soft, not chewy or really thin like some other restaurants we have visited. Would 100% recommend this restaurant to everyone. Was a great night!!!

SEE UPDATE BELOW! We have just returned from my boyfriend's 50th birthday at the Bollywood Tadka and our party of 19 have no complaints. Food was beautifully presented and delicious. Service was fantastic (sorry if we were a bit loud). Everyone we encountered was friendly and couldn't do enough to accommodate us. Thank you for making his birthday special. We will be back and highly recommend! REVIEW EDITED 23.04.24 After such a good experience we treated ourselves to a takeaway from here Sunday night. £28 worth of food completely inedible! Biryani was swimming in water, boiled rice was stale like it was days old and tandoori had chunks of clay in it from the clay pots (first bite I took was into a shard of clay and made me nearly throw up) needless to say it all went in bin. The taste was horrendous also. Just Eat do not want to know and the restaurant have read my message but not responded so a let down in customer service from both.

Every mouthful of the meal was sublime. The condiments are to die for. Definitely eating here again 5 stars all the way.

Unfortunately for us, I think it must have been a bad day there. The guy that served us was in casual clothes, took and age to get anything and was only one other family in there. The. A lady came out of the restaurant and served us but her clothes were dirty. Then the plate was dirty… then another family member turned up and served another couple that came in… again in casual clothes (still had his coat on)! It was an absolute shambles tbh!

By far the worst I ever had , chicken had a egg odour , chewy so it landed in the bin . Promised free item never arrived and portion sizes are very slim compared to other far more superior takeaways in the area .Waste of money and a health hazard in my opinion. Chicken meat should never smell of eggs

Bollywood Tadka is by far superior to the average Indian restaurant. Sachin and Jennifer are always very welcoming and friendly, and the food is always freshly prepared and really great!

This is now our go to local Indian restaurant, been about 5 times , food just seems to get better every time, if you haven't tried it you are missing out. Thete is free parking opposite McDonald's a 3 minute walk away.

Worst curry I ever had . Chicken overcooked ,cremated and smelly , made me and my wife vomit .and the indo chinese fusion food is laughable , keema noodles i had a more like a rubbish bolognese.

Visited for mother's day (free glass of wine, nice touch) with family. Food absolutely delicious, really lovely welcome from the owners, only reason for 4* on service was how very long it took for out mains to arrive, almost 1.5 hours from ordering, and it wasn't exceptionally busy. Food was worth the wait though and would go again and recommend you to try it too

Shocking food ,tiny portions ,chicken smelled like eggs and so overcooked that it was inedible, pani puri was soggy and chucked in yoghurt ,who does that ?? Manchurian chicken was inedible ,worst curry house I ever ordered from . Mega expensive for portions given

I am not really one to write reviews but this place certainly needs all the credit and to let others know just how beautiful the food is! Absolutely stunning this is the second visit and I tried something new and again I was blown away! This place is a hidden Gem. PARKING: They don’t have their own car park but if you lucky enough you may get a space outside or you can park over the road in the WMC or McDonald’s.

I ordered food via Uber eats. I was so tired after work and was craving for some desi Indian food. I am new to Walsall and just ordered food from Bollywood tadka. I ordered Vadapav which was super yummmm...then dahi puri I just loved it... and the twist I ordered pav bhaji, where I got just pav and no bhaji... I was so disheartened and I just rang the restaurant... a very generous man pick the call and said they will deliver it to me... I never expected this to be very honest because I stay far from them. And in 15mins the person came to my door and delivered the missed item along with a complimentary drink and papad... truly amazing service.... I thank you so much bollywood tadka and the person who took so much effort to make my day.... and food was very very yummieeee..... 10stars if I could.

Curry was really nice and well presented. Chutney bowls looked nice but were too small. The staff was very friendly. Nice chilled atmosphere.

Went here for a meal for the first time and it was absolutely amazing. The food was fresh and to a great standard. All felt like home cooked which you very rarely get nowadays. Will definitely be going back.
