The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Indian food

This was an extremely good curry thank you from my self and from my family the flavour is great. The lamb was cooked beautifully but thank you.

Ordered Tandorri Sizzler got 2 chicken legs only. To be fair they were nicely cooked but I’d expect a lamb chop, chicken breast and seekh kebab - that’s what you’d normally get. I’d have happily paid £5-8 more. Just felt hard done by. I emailed the restaurant asking what you get and they told me to look at the menu which just says tandoori sizzler!!

Reasonable food but poor if your planning a surprise birthday as the staff have no clue how to keep the birthday a surprise

Ordered two different types of curry and rice when they arrived at the table It looked the same only the flavour was different. Not the best Indian.

Wow! We thoroughly recommend this restaurant. I love coconut-based curries but tend to only be offered kormas. I was however pleasantly surprised to be able to choose from a few, and so chose the Tamanna Special which was mango, coconut and cream. It was absolutely delicious! Accompanied by mushroom rice and peshwari nann….all amazing. The staff were very welcoming. Will definitely be going back!

A restaurant located on the North side of Milton Keynes in Wolverton. As a curry lover I have always looked out for special dishes and I must say at Cafe Balti the Lamb Shashlik Buna is absolutely incredible. Full of flavour and texture. I had a take away delivered and I would say that quality of the food was not lost and the service was fantastic. Would recommend and will be seeing Cafe Balti soon.

Stopping in Newent for weekend. Ordered take out curry. What'a menu. Fabulous selection. Walked in - lovely spicy aromas. People eating in looked happy. Only disappointment was food should have been ready for collection at 8.50 and didn't come out of kitchen until 9.15 and I was ravenous. Anyhow the food was well prepared, very tasty and worth the wait.... Recommend if you're in the town......

Lovely food, great service, quite pricey but delicious

I'd give this place 0 stars for service if I could, but since that's not an option, I'll settle for one. Our experience today was awful from start to finish. When we walked in, an older staff member looked at us like we were stupid just because we wanted to order a few starters. He took our order, but barely looked at us and seemed completely uninterested. The food did take a reasonable amount of time to arrive, but what really stood out was the complete lack of engagement from our server. When he finally brought out our food, he didn't even acknowledge us - he just held out the bag and handed it over without a word or even making eye contact. The contrast between his initial unfriendly demeanor and the otherwise acceptable wait time for our food made the experience feel particularly disappointing. As a result, we'll be taking our business elsewhere and exploring other options that prioritize customer service.

The food, the service and the general atmosphere was so lovely, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. So we had a few different dishes to share and they were just so delicious, I honestly wished my mouth was bigger 💯

another over rated restaurant service is good atmosphere is good hygiene looks good taste of good … something they should really pay attention to … naan (bread) basket is the only acceptable dish we ordered … chicken biryani, I read that many commented rice so soft & great … but this is like mushy & overall biryani rice taste simply not there (i think most other “ordinary” biryani seller do better than this Paneer tikka, no comment just dissapointed Methi chicken masala, ordered this so we can dip gravy for our bread … super heavy and super rich dish, I mean super super heavy, as if chef has put 5x spices required to cook this dish (we feel our stomach so stuffed the rest of the day, that’s bad) After our order placed, waitress recommend Papaddom (just 3 pieces) to eat together with biryani we ordered - best part is “after” accepted this “recommendation”, she commented to us that we must be hungry (obviously we ordered too much, then why not telling us, also pushed another dish to us?) Mango lassi we normally love to order, too thick and rich to finish … Maybe they pay all attention to services, atmosphere and everything, but … they forgotten they suppose to serve nice dishes?!? Because all this, this is super expensive & totally not worth the money … first and last visit for us 😅

Great to be eating a good curry in Southfields again after over 25 years absence,lovely little place if you are a fan of Goan cooking (coconut,aromatic,tangy spices) the triphal in quaint old southfields doesn't disappoint we shall definitely be returning to explore some Goan fish dishes on Fridays !

Took my Mum for a curry for Mothers Day and decided on a new venue for us. Excellent food and service and will definitely return.

Love the food from here always good value and tasty freshly cooked with excellent customer service thrown in too! Authentic Indian cuisine at its very best
