another over rated restaurant service is good atmosphere is good hygiene looks good taste of good … something they should really pay attention to … naan (bread) basket is the only acceptable dish we ordered … chicken biryani, I read that many commented rice so soft & great … but this is like mushy & overall biryani rice taste simply not there (i think most other “ordinary” biryani seller do better than this Paneer tikka, no comment just dissapointed Methi chicken masala, ordered this so we can dip gravy for our bread … super heavy and super rich dish, I mean super super heavy, as if chef has put 5x spices required to cook this dish (we feel our stomach so stuffed the rest of the day, that’s bad) After our order placed, waitress recommend Papaddom (just 3 pieces) to eat together with biryani we ordered - best part is “after” accepted this “recommendation”, she commented to us that we must be hungry (obviously we ordered too much, then why not telling us, also pushed another dish to us?) Mango lassi we normally love to order, too thick and rich to finish … Maybe they pay all attention to services, atmosphere and everything, but … they forgotten they suppose to serve nice dishes?!? Because all this, this is super expensive & totally not worth the money … first and last visit for us 😅

Khan's is always a good night out. The food was excellent; I had Dehli Railway lamb curry which was amazing. My friend had a chicken curry, asked for it to be spicy hot 🌶 she loved it! The staff are friendly, attentive, changed our glasses for flutes when they saw we had champagne. We'll definitely be back soon.

We hadn’t been for a while decided to visit last Tuesday as we had been out for a drink with friends. The meal was lovely as was the service, looking forward to return as soon as possible….

Ordered a take away and got over spiced slop on a plate. Could not taste anything but heat, takes me back to when most Indian take aways served up food so hot it hid what rubbish it was. Will never go back, or recommend

Used to be good value, not anymore. The home delivery used to be better than this…had a takeaway meal last night, food was luke warm, chicken was of poor quality, nan bread was as tough as leather…Will be going else where from now on as this place is just too expensive for what you get.

Spaciously set out, excellent service and amazing food! Our favourite "go-to" Indian in the area. And you can take your own drinks - which is always a bonus ;-)

I’ve gone as part of a large works do, three times, over the last 6 months, each time spending a small fortune. I’d also started having takeaways from there as the food was nice. On the last meal I received a parking ticket for using their car park at the back. I rang the restaurant and spoke to one of the guys who said he was happy to back me up and say I’d been in the restaurant. I have since tried to call to ask for help with this ticket and asked them for the landlord of the car park, the waiter took my number and said he’d get back to me. He didn’t. I’ve since found out the owners of the car park….khans. So they could have helped me get out of the parking ticket id paid to eat in their restaurant. But they didn’t. They may have got £60 out of me but I’ll never eat there again and neither will my colleagues. So they’ve lost out big time.

Had a really enjoyable evening. The food was tasty and the staff were friendly and helpful. This restaurant has a 5 star food hygiene rating not 1 star as was suggested by another reviewer.

We visited for the 1st time in Feb23. The food was fantastic and the service good. So reasonable as you can take your own drinks. Will definitely be visiting again!

Came for a friends birthday and there was a party of 20 of us, service was great and price was even better! Bring your own drinks what more could you want!

We ordered 2 curries for take away and delivered, the food arrived hot and tasty. Delivered swiftly and pleasantly by one of the staff. We had onion bhaji which we thought were the best we've had, a lamb madras, chicken balti mild, fried rice and plain nan. We would recommend anyone to try this curry house. We're now thinking if taking up friends there to eat in the restaurant.

Visiting relatives in the area and ordered takeaway. Ready in 25 minutes for collection as stated. Very friendly gentleman served us and both the chicken korma and vegetable madras were super and really enjoyed. Surprised to get extras and was very reasonably priced. Enjoyed it so much I ordered 4 the next day to bring home. Will be going the next time we are in the area.

After possibly 6 or 7 months of closure, Khans Kitchen reopened a couple of weeks ago. Returned from holiday and went for the takeaway delivery option. Now I thought Khans was very good before but now its even better!! Theyve improved somehow on 'Khans Special' and the staple Chicken Tikka Marsala is the best, we believe, in the area. Welcome back. While you were closed we went to the restaurant over the road which was very average. We had a takeaway tonight from Khans which was light years better than over the road. Great taste, service and welcome. Thank you.

Worth the wait! This has honestly got to be the best takeaway I’ve had for such a long time! I ordered a chicken tikka lahori handi and it was divine! So fresh and tasty! Not oily or bland, honestly delicious! I wish this standard could be expected for every takeaway we have from khans! Cheese and garlic naan extra cheese amazing! A massive bonus for me was it came fresh, not oily at all and piping hot! Top marks from me tonight!

Just ordered a takeaway which took over an hour to arrive. Food was stone cold had to reheat. Chicken balti was very watery and portion size was half normal size. Naan bread was very thin and small and just crumbled when broken into. Will never use again. Worst curry ever had. Waste of £25.00.

We have always used Khans Kitchen for our takeaways but this place has really gone downhill recently. Ordered tonight and went to collect, had a extra 50 minute wait on top of pick up time, order was wrong when I got home (this is the 5th time this has happened since March) and food only just barely warm. They were still taking orders whilst I was waiting and a backlog soon accrued, delivery orders were constantly phoning to chase their orders, and their was absolutely no social distancing going on. Waiters had masks round their chins or just covering mouth not nose, they were allowing diners to freely move around without masks and tables next to each other were all occupied (clearly not by the same families as they weren’t interacting). Sorry Khans Kitchen but you have lost our custom.

One of the best takeaway meals we have eaten! Had tikka masala and Naha and both were amazing, as were the onion bhajis.

Honestly? Not the best takeaway we’ve had from here. The meal was cold and really disappointing. We’ve given 5 stars because this has never happened before and have always been amazing. Just don’t know what went wrong. Hopefully back to normal next week. Thanks. Clegg Road.

We had a group delivered takeaway on friday which was great so decided on a solo delivered takeaway on sunday. It was stunning to say the least. The chicken Shashlick starter was plentiful and tasty. The main of garlic tikka saag was to die for. Khans, please dont ever change anything as your food is head and shoulders above anything in the area. Absolutely awesome fresh delicous food. Moostaman. We were a little apprehensive about visiting khans tonight being the first night after lockdown but couldn't wait to return to our favourite local restaurant! So glad we went, the service and food was brilliant, all the safety measures( sanitizers,social distancing,gloves,masks etc)were in place and we felt very safe! Would recommend to anyone.Well done lads was worth the wait!

But takeaways have gone right down hill last week 8/3/20 1/12 hour wait for our food which was cold and stuff missing called to complain offered to send it out again but couldn't be arsed to wait was too hungry,so he agreed to sort us out next time.14/3/20 ordered curry again at 5.30 they offered us 15% off better than nothing,but still they tried to over charge us food arrived 6.20 ok warm dished up curry sat down only to find the papadoms smashed to bits salad missing for chicken tikka and the Nan breads burnt. Rang to complain again asked them to send some more up quickly,this took 30 minutes I asked the chap what he had got for me he said don't know it's what I've been given I then asked him to take the food back he just said no shrugged his shoulders and walked off. Thanks for an apology not by which time curry is cold and I'm past it.Sorry khan's but for a quality restaurant this is very poor that's your last chance no more takeaways from you.Keith Adams

Main courses took 2 hours to come. Told every 5 minutes for 30 mins they our food was coming. Lots of other customers disappointed. Employees didnt care.

This is a good value restaurant, pleasant staff, will always provide exactly the right Flavour and blend for each individual, if you prefer slightly hotter or milder curry inany of their menu offerings ,always well cooked,! Good variety very clean, fairly low key relaxing surroundings,I'm always surprised when they present the bill , in some nearby establishments it can be the opposite but khans is always good value, Take your own favourite tipple as not a licensed property,! Also can get vey busy at popular times , last Christmas Eve we decided to go and hadn't booked ! You could not have got another body in the place ,but they asked us if we would like a seat in reception area and they would provide a take away , 20 minutes later all was packed for us and we took it home delighted highly recommend this place,only go about 4 Times a year but never disappointed,!

12 months ago I ordered a delivery which the driver decided to add extra money on for himself. I thought I'd try again more recently to which I was utterley dissapointed. Ordered the mixed grill for £9.95 I got 1 chicken leg, 1 piece of tikka, 1 piece of lamb and 1 piece of shish. listed as a main this is poor. more like a starter. the curry I ordered was full of chick peas (did not state this on the menu) I even took a photo of the dish as I was stunned when i opened the lid to see what was inside

Fantastic food and service in this delightful and modern restaurant. Very clean toilets too. Prices are very reasonably and it has the added bonus of being unlicensed so you can take your own drinks

So after a few very bad takeaways last year, the 2nd of January we decided to give our prior favourite curry house a second chance.... and well khans is back!! I ordered a garlic paneer tikka saag then and tonight and it was beautiful! Just how it used to be.. delicious! Good to have you back! Mushroom fried rice is good and naan good.

We used to go to Khans regularly and loved the food. We hadn’t been for about 12 months. The staff recognised us and made us welcome. Service was good. Food was hot and fresh. Always amazing curries. Enjoyed our evening.

We won their first online Facebook competition of “guess the curry” so we booked in and went last night. We had an excellent experience. We have been coming to this resteraunt for years but haven’t for a while due to having a baby. The front of house staff recognised my husband and he was greeted like an old friend which was lovely. We both had a starter which came out quickly after we had finished our poppadoms and ordered two mains and a few side dishes. We are BIG curry fans and both ordered things that weren’t on the menu but they were more than happy to oblige and cooked us both exactly what we wanted. The place had a great atmosphere and was packed. If your a curry lover I would highly recommend as these guys know their stuff. Food is great and the staff are so friendly and welcoming.

Well we went on Friday after checking all it food ratings and saw it had been given back its 5 star rating.. we where not dissapointed. Food was hot and well cooked and plated . Only issue with me was the server he was not very helpful with description of a meal I wanted to try so would prefer that when seated by the one person that they stay as ur server not to change . Because one we had was not my cup of tea and not very attentive. So well done for food and rating . Shame ur servers are not up to standard .

When we moved into the area we tried a fair few curry houses and always find ourselves coming back to Khans.

First visit to Khan's Kitchen after hearing good things but unfortunately left a little disappointed. The place itself is nice and there is a pay and display car park conveniently close by.

Excellent food, never had a bad meal. Service is good, can be slow at times when busy but where isn’t. I recommend the Khan’s special, tastes great. Always a great atmosphere and all the family enjoy. Highly recommend.

Never having any complaints from years of eating here but aware of recent issues, we visited on a saturday evening with friends. The staff were friendly and attentive and service was very good. The food was cooked perfectly, tasty and plentiful. All plates returned empty. Can recommend Khans Special and Garlic Tikka saag. Looking forward to a return visit very soon. We have just returned from Khans after a super evening.

I understand Khan's has been in for a bit of stick recently,but after tying others locally I wasn't impressed with any so gave Khans another go.

I was looking forward to my visit as I go past this restaurant everyday when I go to work. The place used to be quite busy on some days and this reflects the food will be excellent here. However, me and my wife went for a meal. I wasn’t really happily with the food because it’s lacking flavours,tasteless. The service was attentive and helpful. The atmosphere wasn’t good, the restaurant was dead. Its shocking because it’s a big place. I also noticed last couple of months the place isn’t as busy as it used to be for some reason. Overall I am very disappointed especially with the food, as I was looking forward to my visit. I won’t be visiting this place again.

Just a takeaway this time. Getting back to its best again great tasting Jaipur curry, Chicken curry and naan breads

We’ve been going to khans for a while now and in the past 6 months it’s really gone down hill. The service has got progressively worse and on our last visit we got the cherry on top when the waiter rudely said “we need your table”. Just after he’d given us the dessert menus. We asked for water about 5 times this evening and had to get our own cutlery for our main course. We also had a very inappropriate member of staff when booking our table over the phone, needless to say we won’t be visiting khans again! So disappointing as the food is always nice.

Recently visited and have always been here, in fact normally visit every 6 - 8 weeks, as food has been excellent, but somewhat disappointed with this last visit. Service was great and the atmosphere very relaxed, as always but something has happened to the food.....normally food is delicious,tasty,fresh and just moorish and have always left feeling happy...this time the food was not up to the normal standards,bland and not up to the normal standards...not sure if this was just an off night, will visit again and hopefully just a one off

The food was outstanding as normal . Was a busy as usual had to wait for our booked table although there where empty tables . Was a little warm as air conditioning unit was broken . Overall we live the food and the atmosphere but wish I wasn’t seated on the lower section with people coming and going for takeaway feel like a circus show when ur near the door :-(

I went to Khan's Kitchen with my family to celebrate my husband's 65th. The food was lovely and the staff very helpful and friendly.

Came here for a birthday meal with my brother. He hadn't been before but was impressed by both the quality of the food and the service. There are some unusual dishes on the menu,try the chefs suggestions. Restaurant us very clean and staff are attentive.

New to the area and missing my regular curry house. Khans was recommended to me as I’d tried a couple of other restaurants and was disappointed. Khans kindly delivered even though it was an order for one. I had the mixed started and the chicken jalfrezi, it was delicious. I have now found my new takeaway.

Just back from holiday and we were starving, rang Khan's and they said they could squeeze us in late on a Friday night. Got there and the place was packed solid so it can get very loud, avoid weekend's if this bothers you. Anyway food came out and it was amazing as usual. Great place to go, staff are friendly and the food is always delicious. Only thing to remember is that the car park round the back is no longer free and I have to say I'm disappointed that Khan's don't let you know this, ( I know some people will say it's the driver's responsibility ) but it was pitch black back there and as I hadn't been for quite a while, I didn't notice any signs! I just think the businesses should put a sign up to remind customers so they don't end up with a massive fine like I did for using there establishment.

I know khan from years ago at the triangle pub where he had the restaurant there, his food and service are still excellent one of the best curry’s around!

Food very good, restaurant not at all cramped and service very good. However a week later we received a parking fine for £60 (or £100 if not paid in a fortnight) for using their customer carpark. We phoned KK to query this and were told there was pay-and-display. There were no pay-and-display signs when we went, nor were there when the friend we took with us visited last nor when the friend who recommended KK visited neither. Apparently KK validate you using their customer parking but they refused to when we asked. Appalling!!!

Really nice food with a well done out interior. See if you can spot the deliberate spelling mistake in the restaurant. Take your own booze so makes it a good value night

I tend to have the same meal every Indian restaurant I go to.(chicken Jalfrazi, boiled rice, chips and a plain naan) I love curry and I find the food here just fine.

Popped in with my childten for their first Indian... great food and service it did go down a storm but just a word of caution the chicken tikka was a bit too sweet and coconutty for our tastes but other wise good.

A group of us had dinner at Khans last Saturday, the restaurant was very busy, although we had booked there was quite a wait before our table was ready. The service was not only slow but chaotic. When our food did arrive it was served sporadically, nothing flowed. On the upside our meals were very tasty. I will not choose to eat here again purely because the service was so bad

I really don't know how many times I have to review this place to get this message across, (If it was down to me I would not go here again, but sadly family members continue to book this restaurant for special occasions).

I've eaten `in` at Khan's Kitchen a few times, and always been happy. Takeaways from there have been a different story. Last time I ordered one from there (admittedly about two years ago) I had called in and ordered. When my food arrived, I was given the bill and had to remind them that there was a 10% discount on `collected` orders - but this was refused me because (I was told) I'd gone in to order rather than phoned my order!

This will have been my fifth time eating at this establishment, not to mention the many takeaways. Our starts of lamb tikka and kebab were really good and then our mains of chicken tikka masala and lamb Rogan josh were excellent. The restaurant actually got busy by 8pm on a Tuesday which I wasn't expecting so this did slow down the service, but then I'm okay with that, we had more time to laugh and chat. a very chilled laid back atmosphere with great food, what more could I ask for? Another kicker was the price, we had the banquet offering so a starter, main and a plain rice or naan was only £10.95. Brilliant.

We have been to Khans several times, we love the food and have had take away meals which we've enjoyed. But several times on visiting the restaurant we have sat down had some popadoms and while eating them have had the waiter round wanting to take the order for the rest of the meal so it made us feel rushed.

Ordered a takeaway mixed grill and asked to swap the lamb chops for extra chicken On getting it home I was very disappointed to find no extra chicken Rang khans kitchen to discuss this to find them rude and unhelpful- they didn't even apologise!! Went to this restaurant was recomended. Shown to table food still on carpet from last people, not a good start. Rushed to order our food the waiter you could tell didn't want to be there. Rude. Didn't have no interest in what he was doing didn't just pass my husband serviette.threw it. Blinds in this restaurant we so dirty never been cleaned. All we could here while eating was manager coughing all through the meal couldn't wait to get out won't visit this restaurant. Again no matter how much it gets recommended

Visited here on Monday this week as not been for a long time. Sadly we were very disappointed. Ambience was poor, curry all over my supposed clean napkin, starter of chicken tikka pieces arrived on the bone and was tandoori, hardly any meat on it. Our main courses were all sauce and hardly any chicken. Chicken was nice though. Rice and naan bread fine too. Unfortunately we won't be returning.
