A decent curry house which isn't that expensive, compared to neighbouring Indian restaurant. I recommend the Chicken Saag and Chicken Tiklka Jalfrezi for mains and Onion Bhaji and Chicken Chaat for starters. Very friendly.

We frequent King Of Spice regularly because the food and service are always really good. It’s a nice small restaurant, very clean and nicely decorated. They have a great selection of starters, mains, rice, breads and desserts, all at very reasonable prices. You can take your own drinks, with there being an off licence pretty much next door. A great place to eat.

Late by 45 mins despite ordering in the afternoon. Food was as tasty as always but only warm. Plastic bag had gone all sweaty inside so popadums and chips had gone soggy. Yoghurt sauces were warm. Had to reheat meals. Disappointing as not usually like this from KoS.

We always go the extra distance to get our food from here as we have never had a problem until today. Very disappointed with the service. We were given the wrong order and didn’t check until we got back as previously mentioned we’ve never had issues. We rang to explain the situation and explained we wanted the order doing again to be told they would only redo what was missing meaning that some of the items would be cold by the time we received the rest of the food. When we picked up the remaining items we were given a copy of an item we had already received and another item missing. Will not be ordering from here again.

Have always loved this place, but this time it was not good. Portions small, greasy and was charged extra for 1 king prawn. Ok, cost of everything has gone up but this was really disappointing. Service was not as good as usual, waiter hovered and cleared the table before we were ready. What has happened to the King of Spice??

Both meals I had recently were not as described...one without the egg...one that was all mashed up no roast onions and peppers....the food was okay...service good. But I think we will try other restaurants before going back...Shame been going there since opened.

Consistently good, recently stopped freebies over a certain order value which is a shame. For the past few years KoS have always delivered good food, never messed up an order and delivered in good time. Naan breads are small, but tasty. Items to add to menu would be a tawa and a family size naan. Overall a great take away.

I've used the King of Spice for Takeaways ever since they opened - initially because it was handy to call into on my way back from work, but subsequently because I've always enjoyed their food. The staff are very friendly, and always remember their regulars. Over the years I've worked my way through virtually everything on the menu, and i've never had a bad meal from them. They serve very generously sized portions too! There are several good curry houses within a short distance from here, but this remains my favourite.

Absolute pleasure as always, we go regularly for “banquet night” - popadom, starter, main, side all for a tenner. Quick service but always delicious, would definitely recommend a sit in. You won’t be disappointed x

Waited over an hour for our starters

Having used King Of Spice since they opened, I was looking forward to a post lockdown banquet. I was told it would be an hour and half for delivery which was fine as it sounded busy on the phone. I called for an update bang on the time and was told "its on its way". 20 mins later I was told exactly the same and then 20 mins later I was again told the same....When it got to 2 and a quarter hours since my order, I told them to keep the money I had paid and not to bother bringing my order. It DID arrive shortly after with a FREE bottle of Pepsi for my trouble! To add insult to injury, my starter was a shrivelled mess, my FAVOURITE main of 'Murghi Keema Delight' was a tasteless, sloppy tomato sauce dish with no trace of lamb mince which appears to suggest the chef has gone and a cook employed. It was thoroughly disappointing and sorry King Of Spice but....if you want quality, tasty Indian food folks then pay the extra and go to Khans Kitchen at Sankeys Corner. You will pay more but worth every penny. Disappointed of Burntwood.

Awful service, even worse cold food. Please take your custom elsewhere. 2 hour wait. Rang restaurant to complain and food miraculously was delivered in 15 mins. Vast majority of food was all cold. Mixed grill the all the meat over cooked and dry as a bone and not how it was sold in the description. Tikka wrap is in fact sweet and sour wrap. Top it off my girlfriend is vegetarian and bit into samosa full of meat. You can imagine that went down well. All in all take your hard earned money elsewhere, plenty of choice in Burntwood and surrounding areas.

Ordered at 9:12 and was told our order would be with us for 10:30, had a text at 10:20 saying it’s on its way. called at 10:45 as still hadn’t had the order to be told “it should of been there at 10:30, they should be there soon” we waited till just before 11 to call back again which is when they was closing to be told again “ it should of been there at 10:30, he’s probably there look out your window” and he still wasn’t there. Food finally turned up at 11:20, meaning it would of been “out for delivery” for a hour if they had actually left when the text was sent. Also very overpriced for a can of coke out a multipack, definitely won’t be ordering again. Unfortunately I paid by Apple Pay, else we would of cancelled the order all together after it taking that long.

A regular here with my parents when we can get some time off. Always enjoy it and good prices for a decent indian

I have been using The King Of Spice for some years now , and as per all food houses you usually say " oh this one does has great food etc " but i can honestly say they are consistantly the best Indian restaurant in the area never had a bad meal here

We went with friends for a 80th celebration birthday meal at the king of spice burntwood on 12th September 2018. As always the friendly staff welcome you the meal was excellent and lovely flavoured food and quick and fast service, great value for money highly recommend. There is no licences bar so bring your own alcoholic drinks which isn't a problem.

Chicken Madras, pilau rice and a chapati. This is the most tasteless, flavourless load of tripe i have tasted in over 20 years and i have eaten curry all over the country and world. The chicken was cheap tiny pieces of mass produced poop and the sauce, although quite lively for a Madras just didn't taste of anything!!! The best part of my takeaway was the complementary popadoms. Also had bad stomach cramps and plops even though i eat phall and have a cast iron stomach.Anan's or ashiques is your best bet in Burntwood. Mr Curry.

A good little find, we moved to Burntwood just over a year ago and have tried all of the takeaways (or so we thought). Until we accidentally stumbled on this place. Food is delicious and not greasy like most Indian takeaways. Would recommend and we will definitely be repeat customers if food remains consistent.

We went to the King of Spice on the Saturday 1st July 2018.The service we had was friendly quick and great value for money. There was a deal for eating in the resturant for a four course meal for £9.95 each. The meal was perfect and we all enjoyed ourselves we would recommend anyone to have a meal at this restaurant it isn't't a licensed premises but the don't't mind you bringing in your own alcoholic drinks.

absolutely excellent, normally go to Khans but tried here once just because it is local. The best takeaway indian ive ever had. They do everything we ask and it is so cheap for what you get!!! i dont think ive ever finished one!!! they give you loads and loads. Excellent and i would never go anywhere else.

So here wagwarn for 1 star an ting. Me n my breddah were on a big wing moon hype bit my man and gis sauce were like na na king of spice is pukkers n they do a fat deal. So after a bit of persuade we was lime yeye my g bring up the big menu an that. Long of the short was 6 man deep and all had main and starter, and cus im a chunky lad n like me snappa decided on a bag of the kings finest chips the bill racked in just short of 60 sheets... im thinkin to me self cant wait be pukkers this n car moan for a 10spot... how i wish wed have told the king to keep his spice! He forgot me chips!!! Ya mite tink to ya self, this no propblem big lad wich in all fairness it wernt, but me mans sauce rang up to say hed forgot me chips n the ethnic lad on other end of phone was a right plonker kept shoutin u didnt order chips when i did! After a bit of verbal for 10 minuets boss man comes on the phone and says hell send me a bag but theyll be an hour at LEAST! After waitin an hour n half for a curry in first place! The meal was sub par, customer service terrable n it took that long to get here i had a bowl of rice crispys to take the edge off my hunger pains! Never ever again useing this place after Being a loyal customer for so long! Very disapointed... STAY AWAY MANDEM!!! go india spice up sankeys instead unwont be dissapojnted there i tell theeee! Come here with the family whenever we go for a balti. Nice small restaurant has a nice subtle atmosphere with friendly staff that can have a banter which is good. I ordered the chicken tikka as a starter and it was brilliant. Flavour was juicy and the onions didn’t overpower the dish. For mains I went for tikka masala which didn’t have the horrid grainy texture like other places. There also was a generous amount of chicken in the dish which was good. And I also recommend the keema and garlic naan. Can’t fault this place.

Just had take away, and it pretty close to the best I have had. Fresh salad and poppadoms and very nice bhajees (free) Currys were great Would give 5 stars but need to try again to see if consistent.
