Years and years of great meals. Hubby (Paul ) says it’s the only Indian (and he’s been hundreds ) that can make him a great jalfrezi phall hot. Great restaurant great food and really helpful friendly staff. I think Paul loves the anmol more than he loves me šŸ˜‚

We decided to book a family Diwali meal which was booked over the phone. When we arrived we were greeted by a lovely waiter who took us to our table. The tables were separated which we were a little annoyed about as this was not mentioned before. Another waiter came out and abruptly told us to be seated so we can order our starters. I explained we were waiting for one more family to arrive. Within minutes the same waiter came and said exactly the same thing! I was quite shocked and to be honest we should have left at that point. The rest of the family members arrived and a nice waiter took our orders. The food came out and dishes were mostly different however they had the same sauce and tasteless. Curries had big chunks of green chillies. The chicken curry was awful. The portions were small. We went on to order desserts but were given one menu between 14 of us! After a few minutes past, the same rude waiter appeared and asked us to order our desserts now as they need the tables. This was the icing on the cake for us, we paid the bill and left without ordering desserts. This is not how you treat paying customers. On top of that, the food is not great at all and we are shocked with these high rating reviews. Shocking service, shocking food and shocking communication. The only good thing was the young waiter that treated is with respect. I wouldn’t bother people with this place, we will stick to where we know!

We had a family meal last night . There were twelve of us , the service food and atmosphere was fantastic . The Sunday to Thursday special offer was well received . Some of the party were new to Asian cuisine they had an opportunity to try different dishes. The birthday girl was spoilt rotten by Ali and the team. The cake and the flaming candles went down a treat with everyone in the restaurant. We look forward to another be together at the Kyber very soon . Thanks all šŸ‘

Popped into Vassu for lunch on a Sunday for the first time at this Atul Kochar restaurant, although we have been to several of his other venues. First impressions were fairly good- the restaurant looked sleek and was cosy at the same time. The manager wasn't exactly welcoming - a man of few words it seems! Anyway, fortunately our server was Rohit, who was amazing and couldn't do enough for us. We both had a glass of the Atul Kochar prosecco (delicious!) whilst we perused the menu. We decided on the Set Menu, and although some of the dishes seemed familiar, we knew the Atul Kochar touch would elevate even the humblest of dishes! My husband and I both chose to have a basket of freshly made popadoms which come with two types of home made chutney - I wish they would bottle it as they're so good! We both then chose same starters of chicken tikka with mint chutney- the flavours were fabulous and the chicken was cooked to perfection. For the main course, I chose to have Tandoori Jhinga Malai Curry - tandoori tiger prawns with a coconut and onion curry sauce. The contrast between the delicately spiced Tandoori tiger prawns with the creamy coconut curry was sublime! My husband chose the Gosht Khada Masala - diced lamb in a tomato and onion spiced masala sauce - adorned with fresh herbs and ginger, which he declared 'melt-in-the-mouth, and probably the best lamb curry he'd eaten - quite an accolade! The mains were accompanied by complementary pilau rice and the most deliciously creamy black dahl (I could eat a dish of the black dahl by myself it's so morish!). To round off our meal perfectly, I had the strawberry tart and chocolate mousse with textures for my hubby. Rohit also surprised me with a little birthday brownie, which was totally unexpected, but a lovely touch. The wine list here is extensive, but we eventually chose a Pinot noir rosƩ which worked extremely well with the delicate spices and herbs in our dishes. We had such a lovely relaxing time at Vassu - food and wine were superb and Rohit a fabulous asset to this venue. Go - you won't be disappointed!

2 of the bhagis were rock hard. The Dhansak was really oily, by the time I got the oil out there was about 1/2 left. It was very sweet, but had very little heat to it. The best thing about the meal was the Keema Naan.
