Kings Langley Tandoori in Dacorum

Unfortunately my order tasted like a microwave meal, very disappointed. Also considering how much we spent they could’ve at least given free poppadoms.

Walked in to an empty restaurant at 9.20pm for a table for 2. Waiter clearly didn't want us there and showed us to a table. Abruptly handed us a menu then came back like 2 mins later and demanded we order. I said we aren't ready and then started to raise his voice at us and that they closed in 6 mins. So why the hell didn't you say that when we walked in, we never would have bothered. So promptly left with some choice words exchanged by both parties and will never return again. No wonder the place is always empty.

We had such an amazing dinner here. All of the food items were very tasty and well prepared. The service was fantastic, the food delicious and I totally recommend this as a quick stop for any meal. We were on our way to Heathrow airport. Just on the way there, perfect stop. They even give you warm towelette's at the end of your meal.

Nice quiet little place with amazing food! Spice was just right, fish cooked very well. Waiter was friendly and attentive. Recommended if anyone is in the area.

Waited so long for our order my back ached. Food very average with a few bits of chicken floating in a sauce (£10.50). Not an enjoyable experience at all and after years of using this restaurant I have to say it’s gone down hill and I won’t be going back again. All in all overpriced and naff service.

We’ve enjoyed takeaways from this restaurant so thought we’d give it a try with a visit. Wow were we in for a surprise…shockingly slow service and when I enquired after our food having waited an hour, I was met with a cursory response from the waiter who clearly couldn’t have cared any less. Food was average but all in it took 2 hours for all our food to arrive which is unacceptable on a quiet week day. Would not recommend

So I came here on pre covid on my travels and food was excellent, was away since then and back now so I thought I would visit again wish I didn't tbf, I ordered a lamb balti and I thought I was in a cafe the lamb was so chewy tough like it had been sitting around for days now a balti is ment to be thick sauce with visual pepper onions tomatoes which had non.. just a basic curry sauce was terrible the garlic nann was a plain nann with a few chopped garlic sprinkled on it so poor as if they was saving money I am a chef and I would be embarrassed to serve this I get we have prices going up on food but this was outrageous for the price I paid for it I will definitely not go again now I am so disappointed with this restaurant the staff are nice and pleasant but this don't help the restaurant I complained and all was done was talking to the chef that should know I would think twice about going it's not about the money I spent but not even a drink on the house so sad anyway good luck on you're meal there that's all folks

My brother and I had an absolutely amazing Indian meal at Kings Langley Tandoori on a pleasant Saturday evening in July 2023. Everything was top quality and beautifully presented with fresh sauces. After consuming some really tasty poppadoms, I had the scallops in curry sauce, lamb vindaloo with pilau rice, sag aloo and a garlic cheese nan – all super tasty and washed down with a salty lassi and a couple of draught Cobra beers. Our post-prandial Irish coffees were also delicious. Prices were very reasonable. Staff were very polite and professional. One waiter returned the wallet I had dropped in the men's room before I'd even had a chance to realise it was missing! It is worth noting that it's a relatively small restaurant, so if you are in a large group, definitely make a reservation. Overall, one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever visited (possibly the best) and I will definitely dine there again when I am next in the UK. If I could award the restaurant six stars, I would! :-)

Food absolutely delicious, fresh, spicy, lean meat falling apart in the sauce. Succulent prawns, generous portions, rice, naan and sag aloo all hit the spot. Veggie paneer dish delicious, too. Staff friendly and helpful. Surprisingly busy for a Monday evening, service was great - attentive and efficient.

First time here, but Iwill definitely be going back! Lovely food some different things on menus I've not heard of before. Very reasonably prices as well. It small but nice atmosphere

Food was lovely but the staff rushed us from the minute we arrived. They even cleared away the plates etc of my partner whilst I was still eating- awkward!!!!

Just ordered a delivery (Chicken Biryani) and was really good, down to the veg side. So glad I tried this place and will definitely be ordering again when working in the area.

Humm what can I say ? I will be totally honest. Staff excellent, probably a bit too efficient ,they take the menus away when you have ordered the food, which I can understand, but they also take the drinks menus aswell. I asked for the drinks menu back, they looked at me a bit gone out. they should put up a sign If they don't want you to order anymore drinks. Anyway, as for the food,,it was tasty!! ,poppadoms etc good, I had the Jalfrazie , its very similar to the Aldi's version of the Jalfrazie, which I like. Well worth a visit.

Without doubt the best tandoori chicken I've had. The meal was superb and the presentation excellent all in a lovely restaurant. As is usual in these establishments the drinks were pricey but that's fine. Loved it

Ate here with my daughter for the first time as we both love Indian but don’t get to have it a lot. Had our usual favourites- food was average to taste have had better and also worse. Service was good and portion sizes a bit smaller than we have had before. Food could have had a bit more “taste” and a bit more of a “kick” to it.

Me and the other half are very fussy when it comes to curry . This place is definitely worth a visit. Lovely meal

I visited this restaurant around 4 years ago, followed by 2 years ago and, most recently, in June 2021. Each time, I had almost the same dishes being meat samosas, chicken tikka masala, pilau rice and saag aloo. Apart from the chicken tikka masala sauce, all the dishes were of a similar high standard on all three visits. In particular, the tikka massala sauce was previously superb being quite dark red, creamy and delicious. This time, the sauce was pale, watery and tasted or very little apart from coconut. That's why I have given only three stars. Aldi's chicken tikka masala is much nicer and costs peanuts compared to the £9.95 on this restaurant menu.

I found many hairs in my curry and I think I saw a rat run across the room. Honestly I'm beyond disappointed this company it is a disgrace to the Asian community. I complained to the manager but I was appalled at his disgusting behaviour. When I went to complain he just started shouting at me in such a strong accent I could not understand a word he was saying. This is utter disgrace.

Horrible experience. Went for my anniversary ,my wife’s food had hair in it . They didn’t take it off the bill nor did the manager apologise. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Worst restaurant I’ve ever been to in my life!

Poor quality service.We had to wait a good 45 minutes before someone noticed us and the restaurant was practically empty at that Time . The food was mediocre too.Never recommending this to anybody.😡😡😡

Came here with colleagues for evening meal. When we entered was shown to table by front door. Waiters were a little strange and leaned across you when serving. Food portions were quite small but food was Ok not great but OK meal for 3 was £87 total including 5 drinks. Not sure if we would return as better Indians in this area.

arrived for 7pm booking received inedible starters at 8.30pm. chicken pakora was NOT chicken was some sort of minced something , disgusting . soft shelled crab was as flat as a pancake think it had been run over in car park , even the waiter laughed as it was served to me , having left starters our main course had not arrived by 9.30pm at which point we decided to leave and never return , truly awful experience . 2.5 hours to leave hungry we did observe take away foods were flying out the door. should be shut down again .

Tried this place the week we moved into the area, food a disappointment compared to the Indian restaurants we'd been used to and spoilt with in Harrow. We wouldnt return here.

Saturday night was extremely busy at this restaurant but the quality of the food did not suffer. Although the service was a little slower than usual the waiters were still friendly and courteous. Food portions are very generous and you can taste that the food is nicely prepared and very tasty. You can vary the amount of "hotness" or mildness in most dishes. Every table was full when we ate here but still enjoyed the quality of food on this visit and the drinks are very reasonably priced too.

We were visiting Hemel Hempstead and we decided that we should Find a nice place to eat .So we went to kings Langley and decided to eat at the Tandoori Restaurant. we were pleasantly surprised. the food was excellent and so was the service. would definitely recommend this Restaurant.

Had a fantastic meal, all the dishes were light, non greasy and delicious. Service was quick and friendly, would definitely recommend - the best we've had in a long time. We will be back.

Before making our way to Premier Inn hotel, Aylesbury, my family and I went to Kings Langley Tandoori. The staff here were really polite and helpful; they helped us with direction as we were not familiar with the area. The food here was also great. I would highly recommend this place.

In the area on business and felt the need for spice. Just a short walk from my hotel I tried the Tandoori and wasn’t disappointed. I was an early customer so the restaurant wasn’t very busy. Service was quick and good and food quality was excellent. Would visit again.

Not the best, I eat in a lot of Indian restaurants and this one wouldn't be in my top 50. Food is ok but bland, we had two totally different dishes and they looked the same. Could tell the chicken and the heat but other than that bland... prices ok and staff friendly so giving it 2 star

Visited last night for a birthday meal. Really let down by outcome. Restaurant was busy but that shouldn’t be the reason for poor quality food. Not only did we have to wait a long time for food that was lukewarm two of the main dishes looked and tasted the same, couldn’t tell them apart. Really have to improve.

I ate here on May bank holiday Sunday about 9.30pm.

We were staying at a local hotel for the night and needed somewhere to eat. We’d looked on Trip Adviser and noted that this Tandoori had good reviews so we thought we’d Mgive it a whirl!!

I’ll be completely honest here walked in sat down all lovely staff perfect very nice guy took my order my Mrs said he’s a bit quick as in a little bit rude but took it on the chin food came everything was ok the lamb rogan josh was terrible pure fat I ate one piece but ate all my other food We finished our food asked for my bill Rude man came I had a whole plate of lamp left I told rude man Lamb was terrible pure fat he played with the lamp and said sorry We got the bill lamb was on the bill I went to the counter to pay and he told me I ate all the lamb except 1 piece I told him to stop I gave you a full plate back and I won’t be paying for it He then said he was calling the police because I raised my voice I said call them He took the £6.90 rogan josh of the bill embarrassing Is not the word Mortified

Popped in here by chance on a Monday evening with a work colleague. Very pleased we did. Staff very pleasant & welcoming. The menu although quite large has all the classic dishes available + some house specialties. Food was very tasty & reasonably priced. Will return when in the area again.

Tandoori Restaurant is located on Kings Langley High Street, a short walk down from the Kings Langley Premier Inn. It is alongside the P&H; estate agents.

Always a great place for a delivery but equally charming to eat in. The curry is tasty and staff are friendly, I personally like a cheese naan (don’t knock it until you’ve tried it) but better when you eat in rather than a delivery as it’s best served piping hot.

On the road it's hard to find a nice place to eat, but this is brilliant fantastic staff great food, I would highly recommend.

A group went there for dinner last week, I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Really welcoming staff, no rush, no pressure and really good tandoori mixed grill. We will most definitely be going back in the very near future

I booked by email and received confirmation back but when I got there, the staff had no record of our booking - not a good start. We were however, accommodated.

We visited this little gem of a restaurant while overnighting in Kings Langley before visiting Warner Brothers Studios.

Our usual Friday evening meal need a new destination, so this place had parking and a table. Very pleasant meal, good service, £60 including a bottle of wine and two other drinks. Good value.

Popular contemporary restaurant providing great food

Went to Kings Langley Tandoori for a family birthday at the weekend and had a great meal. Lamb chop starter was ready good. Then chicken narga curry main course was just right. All the waiters really helpful. Thanks Cam. Hopefully be back soon.

Lovely friendly staff. Really clean premises. And I have a funny story to tell...... I ordered some items but got home to find the bag short of one of the mains. I rang up to mention this and they asked for my address saying they would pop round with it. I told them we live a long way north of Kings Langley but they insisted. Some minutes later a gent knocked at our door with the missing main plus other items. I had thought during the wait that nobody would seriously drive this far out. He would have done a round trip of 17 miles!
