Every time we go here, we are never disappointed. The food is always good, there is always plenty. Staff are very attentive and accommodating. I have seen them advise other customers on food suggestions on occasion with good feedback. Highly recommend.

17.11.23 update. This is definitely the best Indian in Hemel and I would say for quite a while outside. The atmosphere is fantastic. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The food is fantastic. What a wonderful experience! We didn't know what to eat so we got a surprise menu. Special care was taken to ensure that the food was not too spicy, and we were also given all the time in the world to taste everything extensively. The staff regularly came by to ask how things were or just have a nice chat! The service was also fast, and the restaurant had a very nice atmosphere. I recommend everyone to visit here! It was a great experience!

My biriani had good amount of chicken & veg curry side dish was with fresh veg which was great. 4th point. Bombay aloo very good indeed. 5th point. So all 5 stars. I am picky about my food. I am a regular visitor and visit a minimum of once per month. I call with a weeks notice and booked for a table of 4 and a high chair, to be told on the phone they do not have high chairs. I said ok...

We stayed in Hemel Hempstead overnight and found this place. It was banquet night and very reasonably priced. The food was really good and so much of it. Really enjoyed our meal.

Used to be my favourite restaurant but not now... Portion sizes were small and the taste was not as expected... Disappointed too often now.

Always look forward to going here for dinner with the £15.95 banquet. All the staff are friendly and go above and beyond to make your experience an enjoyable one. Food presented nicely and everything is clean. We have been to many other Indian places in Hemel and so far haven't found a place that beats Saffron yet.

The service we received was appalling. My wife and I took our young son with us on Monday for a meal. We ordered the Banquet for me and my wife. My son enjoyed the poppadoms, drink and dessert and tried some of our food as we were not sure whether he would enjoy any of the dishes. The staff showed their discontent and were extremely rude to us all evening. When questioned about this they explained they were not happy with our son not having his own full size meal and we were left feeling very uncomfortable. . This restaurant is definitely not child friendly and only interested in profit not service. They are only welcoming to those who spend the right amount of money.
