Saffron Restaurant in Dacorum

NEVER AGAIN Well, where do I start. I thought I would order me and my partner food from here on her birthday. When calling up, the chap on the other line couldn’t understand what I was asking. Then I wanted to pay by card, we went through it twice and he was obviously getting my details wrong as it was declining so I thought I would save him the trouble and go get the cash out. CALL ENDS. 1 hour and 20 later, the food arrives by a man who tells me he doesn’t know how much the food is. I tell him, they told me it was 31 pound but here have 33 for good gesture. (Bearing in mind I used to love saffron) We tuck in, and it seems to be going well, I get to the bottom of my Jalfrezi and I find a big chunk of sharp metal in my food. I chip my tooth. My partner says I should let them know but I didn’t want to cause fuss. But I thought I would let them know, so when I call they become very dismissive and not one sorry just an enjoy your night. The next day, I get a call back. And it’s the guy who originally took my order; and is shouting the phone at me as if I’m playing a game and I’m making it up. So instead of actually apologising and saying won’t happen again, they blame me! And yelling that I didn’t pay, and that I need to clear my bill. Once I told him I had a ring doorbell his tune changed. I feel he was doing this to disregard anything I was saying about the metal I found. Horrible horrible people. This was my favourite place and I’m quite frankly heartbroken. I’m going to trading standards to seek advice.

Went here to celebrate my dad's 80th birthday. They were so friendly and attentive. Couldn't have done more for us. The food was amazing (as always). Best curry house in the area !

Best curry house around herts and London no doubt. Service has been fantastic every time I’ve been! And food is unbelievably tasty, this is the only place I eat now, price, service, food and company is absolutely unbeaten.

Came in on a Monday for the mid week banquet. Really good friendly service and great food all prompt, hot and at a good price Complimentary shot at the end. Definitely recommend.

The service was brilliant, food was quick and came out hot. Staff were all very polite and checked if everything was okay, and if we needed anything else frequently. This is the only curry house I will eat at. Also has a very good deal in the week, deffo recommend!

Very nice food and reasonable prices. It is a shame that the staff are in such a rush. We were asked 4 times for drinks within 5 mins of getting there. It seemed like a conveyor belt. Plus they mixed our drinks order twice.

17.11.23 update. This is definitely the best Indian in Hemel and I would say for quite a while outside. The atmosphere is fantastic. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The food is fantastic. Very busy restaurant with great choice on the menu. Food was tasty and was delivered promptly. Staff polite and friendly. Great atmosphere.

What a wonderful experience! We didn't know what to eat so we got a surprise menu. Special care was taken to ensure that the food was not too spicy, and we were also given all the time in the world to taste everything extensively. The staff regularly came by to ask how things were or just have a nice chat! The service was also fast, and the restaurant had a very nice atmosphere. I recommend everyone to visit here! It was a great experience!

Well what can I say… we are seasoned Saffroners but tonight was magical with added live music. Ali, Sham & the team never fail to deliver amazing food, top notch service and great atmosphere. This is the best spot for a curry in Hertfordshire! Began with just me and my Dad that started going and now it’s the only curry house me, my friends, my partner visit! Customer service is 10/10, always is so hopeful, accommodating and serves the most amazing food. Would recommend to everyone

I am a regular visitor and visit a minimum of once per month. I call with a weeks notice and booked for a table of 4 and a high chair, to be told on the phone they do not have high chairs. I said ok...
