Ordered through just eat. 30% off and paid too bank account shows debit too. Once Ordered they reject, then call them to be told not received so I sent screenshot off my order details. So customer lies wow... Now Ordered through same app, accepted so strange they say just eat issue? Another lie.. well if you order from here be wary, as really they don't care about customers who use apps they sign up to or honour what they promote on these apps. Really am disappointed with just the basic service I wanted, to be called a liar and seen pending payment from bank to them too. Never will I use them again and want all to be wary clear photo off receipt to show customer never lies for management to understand

Placed order through just eat and they rejected blaming the just eat?? But called them offered me 10% discount when on app they offer 30%? How strange called restaurant happy to take order but give me 10% . Absolutely a joke of restaurant, person who text me to show my order was not received, buy my bank shows payment taken.. would not trust these persons as definite not telling truth, now I have to wait for refund. Sent them screen shot off order but even that they not accepting, so I recommend not to use as they don't want to honour what they state on app which I'm sure is what they should under the consumer act??

I had a problem this evening, but nothing to do with AK Spices. I ordered through Deliveroo and their rider collected my order. It usually arrives about 5 minutes after it leaves the restaurant. I got a call from the restaurant to say that they were concerned because the food had been handed over to the Deliveroo rider 10 minutes ago, and another Deliveroo rider arrived at the restaurant to collect it. While trying to contact Deliveroo to discuss it, I got a notification that the order had been cancelled, and refunded. I certainly did not cancel it and I'm sure that the restaurant didn't, either. I placed the same order through JustEat, and it arrived very quickly. Although it arrived late, that definitely wasn't the fault of A K Spices, and was absolutely delicious. Thank you AK Spices for the great communication, excellent food, and quick rectification of a problem that wasn't your fault. I hope that you're not out of pocket for a problem that was totally down to Deliveroo.

What a superb takeaway we just enjoyed! Chicken tikka Dhansak was spicy and thick, the lamb biriani deliciously fragrant and flavoursome. Paired with sag aloo and garlic naan, with the addition of a lovely onion salad and poppadoms, hit the spot perfectly! Definitely one to try if you fancy a tasty curry delivered quickly. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food normally good however, delivery should take 1 hour they confirm, it typically takes 2 hours with them telling you the driver will be there any minute and never comes, when the food arrives, its obviously cold

Pleasantly surprised at swift delivery and a reasonable price. Very pleasant guy delivered piping hot food. King prawn puree and tandoori chicken was the best I've tasted for years. Briyani was delicious. Chicken Tikka masala very very delicious. The curries and naan were also very good. Will definitely be back.

Not long ago this was one of the best take away in Hemel ....NOT ANY MORE ...UNFORTUNATELY. Take away box was feel half way through...we only got 1 bag of cut onion but order 3 meals...not long ago was one for every birjani. We order 3 x chicken birjani and found two small pice of chicken in each box ...I guess they cutting edges to save money ...we definitely won't be ordering again.

Poor customer service staff on phone sees me says 1min then disappears to back still waiting nearly 10mins later

Surprisingly underrated. Hidden gem. Ordered Chicken Tikka and Prawn curry. Came within 45 minutes. One of the best curry's I've had. Great food!!

AK spices takeaway have been brilliant! The food is top class. I ordered a chicken korma, a chicken tikka vindaloo, saag with meat, saag paneer and naans. Food was spicy which is how I wanted it. I had initially gone to another establishment and I waited over 30 minutes to order so left.. I have tried AK Spices three times now and their food is top notch!

Great takeaway. Very tasty food and not overpriced like some others in the area.

Food warm and delivered quickly (JustEat) pizza was greasy and base nit fresh. Spaghetti was greasy and not tasty. The nicest part were the BBQ chicken wings which were very fresh and moist with good flavour. Wouldn't order from here again as low quality overall.

Shocking experience ordered food at 5.51 then ring at 7.30 and they say haven't received my order but taken my money

I seriously don’t get it why price a Mix shish £10 if the quality of the food is £4-5 it’s pretty hard to understand should of went to “Best Kebab” The meat is meant to be nice and juicy but it don’t add up this was dry and horrible Defo NOT recommended!!! 😑

Like i said before, if you want a curry you must choose AK spices. They have the most tasty curry in Hemel by far! 17/08/2020 Once again came back from work late, couldn't be bothered to cook so i called AK Spices and i ordered a Meat Jalfrezi with mushrooms rice and Kemo naan. It was fantastic, this guys exceeded my expectations again. Thank you AK Spices!

The second time I’ve ordered from here, one of the nicest Indian take always I’ve had, would definitely recommend. I had a chicken tikka balti, medium spiced, pilau rice and a tarka Dahl.

Good food but tandoori roti is expensive £1.50 for one roti🙄. You can get 3 or 4 in luton for only £1.

This is a good place for a takeaway. Prices very reasonable and quick service if u order over the phone and pick up which we usually do.

Was advised to use this place for a nice vindaloo and they done a blinding dish top marks👍🏻🔥even the mrs enjoyed her tikka masala and if she’s happy everyone is!

That’s right, they actually make a hot curry here. Not a normal curry then covered in chillies like almost everywhere else. Yep if you love hot curry then pop down here and have a vindaloo.

I ordered chili panir and it was too oily and it had absolutely no taste of chilli panir. I haven't tried any other food from this takeaway shop but from my experience of their chili's panir which I had from them I wouldn't recommend them at all.

This use to be our local when we lived around lawn lane. Really friendly staff and great food, would recommend the madras and chicken tikka masala. Give it ago you be surprised.

Lower-end, inexpensive Indian. Food offers good value for money. Range of curries is not the most expensive in town, but food always arrives hot and tasty.

My family have been using AK Spices for several years and have always had excellent meals. However, we've just had a very disappointing takeaway. Where's all the meat gone?! Very measly portions of both meat and prawns in the dansak and biryanis. We remember lovely, juicy chunks of meat in all the dishes, now we need a magnifying glass to locate them! Very disappointing as the flavour of the dishes was fantastic and delivery was on time.

Waited over the delivery time and when we called to find out where it was we were told '5 mins' Over 15 mins and it finally arrived. Called back as never had an issue with them before to have a sarcastic 'Sorry' person on the phone wouldn't give his name and started giving attitude down the phone as I said I wasn't impressed was told 50 mins and in total of was nearly an hour and a half. (They are 3 mins down the road in car from us) won't be ordering from them again. Poor service

Ordered from here this evening (I'm new to hemel so have been trying out different places). I normally order a biriani or balti but fancied something sweet and creamy and went for the chicken tikka korma with pillau rice, saag aloo and garlic naan. The delivery was quick ish and within the allocated time and the food was piping hot! Everything tasted wonderful! Sometimes it can be too salty or not warm enough but this curry was banging and I shall be returning!!!

This is one of the best Indian takeaways in Hemel and we've tried most! The prices are reasonable, portions generous unlike some other establishments, and the sauces are thick and full of flavour. We've been ordering takeaways from here for a while now and would be very happy to recommend it. We've had some poor takeways in the past from other local takeways and have no qualms about taking our business elsewhere. As long as AK Spices keeps up their standards we're going to remain regulars, can't wait for the next meal.
