B Ten Balti in Cheltenham

T Ben still offers a great curry with really reasonable prices and absolutely lovely service. If you have never been then highly recommend it and you can also bring your own alcohol if you care . They have a full running bar too and again very reasonably priced.Well done for the lovely food and service.

Had a takeaway from this restaurant last night for the first time and were impressed with the quality of the food. Ordered a Tandoori Chicken Biryani and a Katmandu Chicken with Vegetable Rice. Didn't have to wait very long to collect and both orders were really delicious. The vegetable curry with the Biryani was not bland (as can sometimes be the case) but really tasty. We have been eating curry for 40 years and we were impressed with the food and will certainly be back. Thank you.

I’ve had the worst case of the flu, my nose is so blocked I didn’t think I would be able to taste anything… so as a fan of a very spicy curry I requested that they make the Vindaloo as spicy as possible! And wow did they rise to the challenge. What arrived was a delicious bowl of fire with cooked chillis floating around. it was PERFECTION absolutely delicious. You’re all absolute gems. Thank you from the bottom of my very poorly heart!

This restaurant never disappoints. The service and food are consistently first class. We received a genuine welcome and were soon shown to our table. We ordered poppadoms which were crisp and came with appropriate ‘dips’. I ordered onion bhajis followed by butter lamb. Some restaurants overcook bhajis so they’re too crisp and others undercook them so they’re too soft and chewy. At BTen they were perfect which is a good indication of their standard of cooking. The lamb dish was delicious and the egg fried rice was an ideal accompaniment. Overall, I can recommend this restaurant with no hesitation considering the value for money, being able to bring your own drinks, the attention to detail and the first class standard of food.

Beautiful tasty food and excellent service

We ordered a takeaway 15 mins after opening was told to give them an hour despite their menu stating 40 mins wait !! After 1.5 hours we called up given feeble excuse told we’d get a call back in 5 mins 15 mins later after no call back we rang again. Eventually food arrived over 2 hours later stone cold - 3 phone calls later no offer a refund- appalling after service- don’t pay up front ( we even suggested we pay ) definitely no visit or use them again

Husband and I just had a Chennai takeaway. OMG! Arrived promptly, piping hot and utterly delicious. The flavours of my garlic rice and Tandoori king prawn masala were amazing. Husband had Shashlik bhuna which he says was wonderful.(too hot for me) Thoroughly recommend x

If you like waiting an hour and a half for your food, then getting smirked at when you complain, this place will be right up your street.

Visiting Cheltenham for Bank Holiday weekend we booked a table for 3 at 6.30 , we was greeted with a big smile and very friendly waiter, We really enjoyed the night, didn’t feel any pressure to hurry and order and enjoyed the popadoms and dips, we loved the fact we could take our own drinks which tea kept the cost down, our food was delicious outstanding value and probably the best we’ve had, we will definitely come back next time we’re in Cheltenham. 10 out of 10

Went with another couple and the food was delicious but I believe what sets this restaurant apart from all the others is the staff, they are so friendly and welcoming- definitely recommend for both food and attentive staff.

Had a wonderful time with a group of friends at B ten Balti on Saturday night. Super friendly staff, lovely food, they were very accommodating and the food was amazing value for money. Bring Your Own was a bonus, although I also bought beers here as I wanted them cold. I go to a lot of Indian restaurants and I highly recommend this one.

Good foods and friendly service

I had to leave a review after another excellent meal in the restaurant. Very busy Friday night with lots of Christmas parties. The food is outstanding and the service excellent. As you can take your own drinks it ends up being ridiculously cheap. The best Indian by a mike in Cheltenham with consistently excellent food.

My wife and i have Been to this excellent indian restaurant many times , the staff are very friendly and helpful, the service is excellent as is the food they serve , will be back , best indian restaurant by far.

This restaurant is always a great pleasure to visit. The service is impeccable, the decor is fresh/modern and the food is consistently delicious and not that expensive. I ordered onion bhajees as a starter which is often a good guide to the standard of cooking. In similar restaurants, onion bhajees can often be too ‘soggy’ or too crisp. At BTen they are always cooked to perfection. The tandoori fish sagwala, accompanied by vegetable rice to follow, was tasty and delicious. My guests made similar compliments about their food and completely emptied their plates. What is also particularly good about this restaurant is their attention to detail. Table cloths and fabric napkins are provided as standard and even a sliced lemon comes with a metal lemon squeezer. The food is also brought to the correct temperature at your table and served you. I can recommend this restaurant without any hesitation.

I've used this restaurant for a good few years mainly on a takeaway basis. Whenever we are away for a short break, we always use BTen as the standard by which we judge other Balti restaurants. Most fail as this Balti is in my opinion right up there with the best. Last Saturday was another cracking meal. Thankyou. Fantastic staff and a dependable chef I wont go anywhere else in Cheltenham.

I've become a regular customer here with my brother and we have both visited separately with other friends too. The food and customer service has been excellent on each visit. Staff are friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The food is always hot, fresh and tasty. I particularly recommend the thali and especially the handi chicken. Well done guys. See you soon.

Takeaway delivered missing a naan. Upon ringing I received great service to rectify the issue. Luckily I live close and popped in to get the missing naan and was surprised to see some starter dishes as well. Curry themselves were great. Recommend the chicken madras

I wish I hadn’t bothered. I had the prawn purée and it was greasy, oily and bland. The chicken tikka masala didn’t taste anything like a masala. Never tasted anything like it. Although the pieces of chicken in the masala was nice. The rice was very watery when I plated it up and had to change plates. The naan bread looked like someone had had a fight with it.

if I could give a 0 star I would have, the most blandest indian food I have ever had in my life, spiceless and tasteless. pretty sure tinned curry from a supermarket would have been better, we ordered cheese nan, it was literally a nan with cheese sprinkled over it. absolutely shocking. come to Birmingham if you want real asian food.

went with friends and ordered chicken tikka masala. food came luke warm. The sauce was very very sweet and not of creamy consistancy. asked for it to be changed and was told thats how they make it....i then asked for another dish which was very nice but they didn't replace half of the rice i had put into the sauce. keema nan also soggy. wouldn't go back as still £15 without drinks

Biryani served without Biryani Masala.

Held a birthday party there yesterday and Imran, his dad and all the staff gave us such a wonderful service. We had ordered a set vegetarian meal for 30 people and all the food was served on time. They catered for all dietary needs of some people in our party. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place. Thank you B Ten team.

I have recently rediscovered this restaurant and had to leave a review after consistently great meals in the restaurant and also takeaways. The food is hot, tasty and fresh and the kathmandu chicken fabulous, The staff are great. Talk to them - they are always interested in a conversation. The prices are so reasonable. Try it!

Great good and great staff service.

Great for big groups. Big menu, and lots of choice. Casual atmosphere. It's BYO so don't forget to pop into Sainsbury's around the corner. I had the chicken korai and a roti - would recommend. Butter chicken wasn't quite what was expected though - not the same as many other local places.

Decent and operate well under pressure. Bring your own alcohol!

Ordered via just eat app. Asked for delivery at 7.30pm. Order didn't arrive till 8.40pm after 2 phone calls to be told both times it would be 10 mins. We left it 25 mins after 1st call to find out where it is. I appreciate that circumstances are unprecedented but it was long wait. Food was nice but due to wait it wasn't very hot.

Not well known! Cheltenham has many more famous Indian restaurants, but B ten was a pleasant surprise.

The worst Indian food we have ever had. Bendy poppadoms which were a few days old and the curry was like a tin of tomatoes with pieces of chicken in. Avoid and go to Siam Smile next door which is cheaper and infinitely better.

Went for a late night curry, played it safe and had Onion Bhajii, Chicken Korma and Garlic Naan. Honestly didn't blow me away, but could have been my taste too.

I regularly go to b10 curry with groups of friends, we constantly enjoy the atmosphere and attentive nature of the staff, the curry's are always hot and flavorful and the staff try and do everything to make your visit perfect.I love the fact you get poppadoms with sauces the starter and the main portions are very generous and good value I never leave unhappy or unsatisfied, definitely recommend it for large groups or just as a couple - its nice it is set outside of the main center but still so close to bars for a pre/post drink

A group of us visit this curry house at least once a month and in years of visiting I'd say we've only had one sub-par experience which they were very apologetic after the he fact. Normally the service is 10/10, the food 10/10 and the staff 10/10. Great Regular haunt.

I had a meal with friends on the 27th Jan 2018. We waited nearly 2hours for our meal, which wasn't worth the wait. The worst thing of the night was a lady slipped on something on the floor and fell straight down. Later on that evening I did exactly the same, fell so hard hurt my back badly. Not one member of staff came to the aid of either falls, didn't ask how we were or even apologised. I mentioned to who I believed was the manager that we had some one on are table with that had a neck and back brace on. Could he imagine the consequences if he had fallen, to absolutely no response. Will never go again. Obviously!!!! If I could give it no stars at all I would.

Food was awful, sugar in curry, asked for chilli in my curry they did not bother to add it. Food was bland, and horrible. Service very slow despite being the only customer. A bad experience and not recommended.

We have been this restaurant for many years and we have seen up and down of the flavours. But this a couple of years I noticed that the good flavour has returned. Every single curry dishes has a different flavour as should be. also it is nice friendly owner greetings you every single time when you dine there.

We visited Cheltenham and decided to have a meal at b ten. The waiters were attentive so much so that one returned to ensure we were happy with our choice and after he described it to us, we decided to change it. He then prepared something especially for us. Another novel thing here is that the food arrives piping hot because it is given one last bit of heat (after being freshly cooked in the kitchen) on a trolley rolled out into the restaurant. Genius! Food was decent not the best I've had but I would return for the customer service.

I've gone here twice in the last 2 weeks. The food is great, the staff are friendly, and it's BYOB so usually costs around £10 per head.

Excellent meal with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. Will definitely return. Clean, well presented and good service.

Las otras dos mesas principales salen su puente aereo en tiempo razonable, pero debo ser maldecida como nos sentamos y esperamos y esperamos que nos dijeron que está entrando. . . Así que después de una larga espera, en primer lugar, para que nuestras comidas y, en segundo lugar, por las otras dos mesas esperando por nosotros para terminar pedimos la factura. . Después de un stubborness conseguimos un 10% de reducción para la espera. . En general la media de comida bien pero el servicio de endrinas y algunos no tan amable personal.

Noche para llevar para mi marido y para mí. Hemos tenido algunos curries extremadamente inferior calidad pero, este era hermoso. Yo tenía un langostino passanda, las gambas marinadas en su salsa estaban correctamente. Mi marido tenía un pollo de Madrás, de nuevo la carne estaba...

Mis padres y yo fuimos a ser 10 Balti un capricho y estaban enormemente sorprendidos por la amabilidad de los camareros, la maravillosa decoración y ambiente, y la comida de sabores. El curry eran geniales (llena de sabor y especias); su Thali era excelente! Todo en el menú era una estupenda relación calidad-precio. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

Comimos aquí como un grupo de 6 por recomendación de uno de los del grupo que ha estado antes. No nos decepcionó, la comida era muy buena, bien preparada y bien presentada.

Menú variado, un montón de especialidades del chef. La primera vez que he ordenado de ser 10, pero sin duda no será la última. Lo más destacado fue Katmandú pollo sabroso pollo, salsa de suculentas. Cada plato parecía fresco y vibrante, con agradable nivel de condimentos. En general muy, muy agradable.

El ser 10 es un pequeño gran Balti, el servicio es perfecto, el personal son una delicia y el restaurante es impecable. El propietario y el personal por igual están siempre dispuestos a ayudar, ya sea pidiendo más bebidas, haciendo su plato favorito de la forma que más te guste o recomendar algo nuevo.

As a lover of Indian food who regularly will visit a restaurant, I was a little underwhelmed with the food quality, the décor and general feel for the place. All the food seemed distinctly 'vibrant red in colour' whatever you seemed to order and the chilli garlic chicken was a little bland and not that spicy despite being labelled as medium/hot. Perhaps the fact only 4 people were in the restaurant when we arrived and no other customers swelled the ranks while we were there tells the story and perhaps we should have researched other Indian restaurants in the area before booking a table here. In summary, ok but nothing to get excited about.

We had our Works Christmas Party there last week and it could not have been better. the food was fantastic and the service excellent. Long may it continue - I would recommend this restaurant to anyone

I had heard extremely good things about this Curry House from a few people, I would normally order curry from one venue in town who don't deliver, so my partner and I though that ordering from B Ten Balti would be a great idea. Sadly not the food that arrived was not very hot, the quality was poor, the taste was poor. Never again.

Really nice environment after a very thorough refurbishment, clean and simple decor. The food was excellent throughout with great service and attention to detail.

B Ten is an excellent restaurant and it could easily compete with some of the more 'up-market' Indian restaurants in Birmingham. The decor is first class and a lot of thought has gone into creating the right 'ambiance'. The service is efficient and friendly without being too intrusive. The standard of the food is outstanding for the price. For example, some Indian restaurants find it difficult to prepare a perfect onion bhaji/pakora, they are either over cooked so are too hard or they are undercooked and are soggy. At B Ten they are perfect and the accompanying fresh salad comes with a slice of lemon in a metal squeezer (a nice touch) so your fingers are not smelling of lemons for the rest of the meal!After excellent starters and mains, we ordered coffee and 'top-ups' were offered at no extra charge.A first class meal.

We visit twice a year for school reunions. Up to 8 of us as a time. Sadiq and the team are outstanding and the food is too. We were there last night (1 Sept) and we had great food again. Thanks all.
