‘Wandering Wednesday’ this week took Hubby Neil, Son Max, his gorgeous girlfriend Rhi and myself to: Anmol Indian restaurant in Penketh, Warrington……. Starters: Max and Rhi both had Chicken Chat Neil and myself had king prawn puri. Entrée’s: Rhi had chicken tikka butter chicken….. Pilau rice Max had chicken tikka masala…. Pilau rice Neil had chicken tikka korma (surprised as he normally goes for something with much more spice but had a very pleasant change!)….accompanied with Anmol special rice, with prawns and vegetables…. I had chicken tikka shahee, which is chicken tikka with minced lamb in a rich thick sauce…..also with Anmol rice. 2 x peshwari naans to share. (Plus a Chocolate disc mint crisp!!) We all said our dishes were beautiful and would definitely have them again….. We booked a table for 6pm and glad we did, many tables were covered in no time at all…… now we know why! The food was top notch and we’ll definitely be going back…. Service was faultless with no delays. Great night had by all and with full tummies!!…..xxx❤️

Great meal at Sunday all you can eat buffet, everything cooked to order. 2nd time here and will be back. Staff attentive and good service throughout for food and drinks.

Lovely service always friendly and very nice food ..we normally have the same food from here when we visit and it's consistant always great quality and as soon as they hear the name it's for big Dave ...they always remember exactly how we like our food which is fabulous customer service with a smile .we'll done to all the team and thank you .

Had weekday special on Monday which was very enjoyable, lots of choice and 5 courses at reasonable price. Visited again for Sunday buffet, not a traditional buffet but menu with good choices for starters and mains. You can order as many items from the buffet menu as you can eat. Again good value, lovely staff and food very tasty.

The food really was delicious, the staff were fabulous and friendly, we couldn't have asked for better food and service all in all it was 5☆ I would definatly recommend eating Anmol.

Went here for my daughters 21st and we was glad as the food was lovely and the service was very good with very polite waiters.

We stopped going her because the food was getting bad but after some months and a recommendations from my son in law we have been going to the Sunday buffets. Well last night was a joke I can’t rate the food as in an hour and a half all we received was the stater and a round of drinks. Whilst we were sat eating our starter literally a coach load of people arrived. Absolutely fantastic for them however not so good for us! We had 2 young children and a 11 day old baby with us. The intention was the Mum could eat before baby woke for her bottle. We had the starters on 3 occasions we asked for more drinks for the children which didn’t arrive ( we were going to pop to Tesco and get some drinks).Waiter after waiter kept walking past and never took our mains order or brought the drinks. We ended up sharing the glass of water and my coke with them! My chair was behind the main door I absolutely lost my s*** with people banging the door on me. After 45 minutes of waiting we had enough the children who had been good considering they were thirsty and hungry we decided we would pay for what we had eaten and go. It was only then that the manager and waiters showed any interest or empathy at all. They packed up the order that we had managed to give but I insisted we didn’t want it I was so annoyed I wasn’t hungry. Never again Anmol we gave you the benefit of the doubt but you managed to alienate us yet again. Good luck for the future word of advice don’t p*** off you local bread and butter customers they are the ones that kept you going through Covid!

First visit for a long time. Ordered drinks then Sunday buffet. Was served small glass of warm flat Coke no icep. Staff swapped for a can. Service very slow given plenty of staff available. Staff pleasant but a bit chaotic. Had to contact staff to prompt each course. Food however nice when it finally. arrived. Menu states two hour per table timescale for the Sunday deal. We probably waited at least an hour in total for service. Nice surroundings. Clean. Good quality dishes. Service needs to be more slick. Wish the business success. Simple changes will make massive difference. .

This is my favourite Indian restaurant in the Warrington area and I've been coming here with my husband and two kids since it first opened in 2004. Food and service is always excellent and also not overpriced. Would highly recommend.

I received a lovely take way via Uber Eats, and while there was a misunderstanding with the order the Anmol team fixed it quickly and I’m pleased with their service and attention for customer. Thanks

Went with a curry loving friend to have a catch and was not disappointed. This was my first visit and I am definitely going to return. The food was amazing, staff were very welcoming. Lovely atmosphere, great service and value for money.Also has car park at the back. Would highly recommend.

Heard good reviews about Anmol.... well sorry but it’s not for me. Visited on a Sunday and I wasn’t aware that it was a Buffet only menu but thought ok it might work out better value for money. The menu clearly states to not over order as the food is made fresh… I don’t understand how it’s made fresh as within 5 minute or maybe less the food is brought to you after ordering. Do they mean the food is re-microwaved as soon as you order? Food was soo dry and bland where it was hard to eat. Portion sizes are tiny, the starters you got like 3 pieces of small chicken or two small onion bhajis although when we was in there some “regulars turned up” and when they received their starters they had 4 onion bhajis and a big plate of chicken… OK! Clearly favoritism among the diners or maybe they were just giving them all the weekly dried up overcooked food as they know they will eat it rather than it having to throw it in the bin on Sunday night. Staff are slightly awkward too. If you like all you can eat bland and dry food where you can take advantage of the "buffet" then this is the place to go but I just wouldn’t recommend.

Just went with my parents to celebrate my new flat and we hadnt been for an indian in forever so we thought we would go tonight for an indian meal and to celebrate this milestone but it turns out the owner and cheif have been changed my parents meal was ok but too spicy and i ordered ofd the not so spicy menu and i may as well of eaten a rotten yogurt it was that bad and wasnt spicy enough for me i had the tandoori tikka masala and it wasnt even spicy! The food is awful, the resturant is dead and they charged us £60 for everything (food and drinks) such a rip off! Never going here again.

Saturday night takeaway during lockdown,and it was superb. Friendly, efficient service and the meals were spot on. Thank you Anmol.

Just home from yet another wonderful meal at the Anmol. Always helpful , polite and welcoming. Great choice of dishes on the menu. Always cooked to perfection. Lemon chicken is a must

We have regularly had take aways from the Anmol. This will change after lSt night. The meal was hardly warm. It had no taste at all. The meat was very chewy. Ordered 4 poppadoms got 2 and some broken bits.Have felt rough all day today!!

My partner and I love Anmol, it is hands down our favourite restaurant. We come on Friday evenings as a treat after a long week at work, it’s always the highlight! The staff are friendly and polite, meals are ready quickly and are always so amazing that I wish I could eat more if I wasn’t so full! We absolutely love coming here and hope they’d cater our wedding!

Me and my partner went for a Indian this evening about 9:30. I have to say the staff are pleasant however when we had our food the waiter who served us went outside for a cigarette and came back in to serve us. As non smokers we could smell the smoke straight away servicing us food like that is just not hygienic, we also had to clean our own plates with the napkins provided as they were filthy! The food is tasty but unfortunately I refused to eat it as was put off by the smell of smoke which the waiter clearly did not wash his hands. The place just doesn’t feel clean or up to standards with the hygiene, and cleanliness.

We had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. We booked a table, but when we arrived it was clear they'd over committed themselves. It was 25 minutes before we were seated, and an hour before we got any food. Although the staff are friendly the service was extremely slow. The food was fantastic when we got it, and we did enjoy it but the service really tainted our enjoyment.

The Anmol! Thank you we will be back. Visited the restaurant tonight. We were extremely impressed with the quality of service. As I don’t eat carbs.. or meat, the restaurant catered for me perfectly. There was no pressure or awkward questions such as ‘do you want any rice or naan bread with that’? My husband does not like fresh coriander and again.. this was taken into consideration. We have ate in Bombay 8 on at least 4 occasions. Which the food arrives luke warm. Also the last two times they served curry with coriander in! My son enjoyed it also.. his only criticism was his vindaloo wasn’t spicy enough. We’re looking forward to visiting again.

Very busy tonight in the Anmol, it was an hour and fifteen minutes between ordering and receiving our meals, the starters we ordered never arrived. Service really disappointing, we had 2 rounds of drinks as couldn’t get anyone’s attention and both rounds they got the wrong drinks. Food was not all that special and didn’t make up for the terrible service and long wait! Waiting for the bill still 30 minutes after asking.

My favourite Indian in Warrington! Can’t recommend it enough, staff are super friendly, helpful and attentive! They’ll do anything they can to cater to what you want! Plenty of choice for a drink in here too! Not too over priced either! A must do

Visited last weekend for our anniversary as wanted to go out for a meal but not ready to venture too far. Only about half full on a Saturday night. Was sat with a stand alone screen between us and the next table. A few tables had been removed. Was served quickly and as always by extremely polite and welcoming waiters (this time with the added visor on). But apart from these precautions I must say it was extremely enjoyable to be out out, in a restaurant. Food was extremely tasty as always.

This is mine and my partners all time favourite place to come for an Indian. Can never find a fault whenever we come here to eat, the service is fantastic from the moment you step through the door. Opening the door for us, taking our coats and pulling the seats out for us which goes a long way.The food is always fantastic and is the only place I will come to for an Indian. The prices are also very reasonable

Visited for a birthday meal. Although a large party and expecting a bit of a wait to actually wait 3 hours to get your main meal is utterly unacceptable even allowing for staff issues. Food was OK but not worth the wait. Despite the long wait no apology forthcoming.Visit was a one off fortunately.

Booked a table ( Saturday evening) and arrived on time to find a busy restaurant but even busier takeaway area. Was seated quickly,however, after that the service went seriously downhill. We waited a long time for our drinks order to be taken - it seemed that most of the staff were either dealing with the takeaway orders or re setting tables- even though existing customers, like us, were sat waiting. After attracting the attention of a waiter who was busy arranging napkins on an empty table, we were finally able to place our food order. Have to say when the food did eventually arrive it was really nice but it was such a shame the really poor service spoilt the evening. It appeared to us that the takeaway business seemed to take priority over seated customers. Perhaps The Anmol needs to decide whether it’s a restaurant or takeaway because it seemed to struggle being both.

The food is always good here, but the service is awful. We arrived on time and were left standing around for 15 minutes despite our table being ready. When seated we waited and waited for someone to take our drinks order. Starter arrived before popadoms. Drinks eventually turned up. At least the food was great.

Well what can I say. It is always a pleasure to spend my hard earned money in there.I have never been dissapointed with the top level of customer service and fantastic food. Every time I go in there the staff make me feel like I am their most inportant customer a hard thing to mantain but over the years they seem to have kept hold of all their staff, again it is only a reflection their standerds.Dont change a thing the food is great and always served with a smile.

Great service, I went with my daughter who is 11 and has sensory issues, the restaurant were really accommodating and moved us to a table in the corner, which made the experience perfect for my daughter. The staff went above and beyond and the food was fantastic. I would recommend this restaurant.

Been meaning to go for 5 years, went this week and it was well worth it. Drinks offered straight away and then pleasant unhurried service of the food which was really good. Pleasant surroundings. It is quite carefully set up to provide Indian food for English people with plenty of information on the dishes. Will be back.

We dine here about once every couple of months and are generally very happy. The food is good and there is plenty of choice. The staff are great and can't do enough to make your visit pleasant. It's a bit pricey compared to other local Asian restaurants but overall we're happy and will continue to return.

We eat here every few weeks, and the experience never changes, great food, great service, great value! The nice thing about this place is you genuinely feel like you are visiting your local, the staff are very friendly pleasant and always try to go the extra mile! Another nice touch is the family friendly atmosphere, this really is a local gem!

Saturday night takeaway- arrived at restaurant to order takeout, told it would be 30 minutes. It was a long time coming, 1hour and half. Restaurant very busy. Despite frustrating wait, the food was delicious. Staff apologetic and offered complimentary bottles of beer for wait.

Me and my husband have been visiting here for years (as it’s within walking distance for us ) and we have never had a bad meal. All the staff are extremely friendly and hospitable and it’s reasonably priced. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Although when we visited last Saturday it was extremely busy, all the booth staff/tables were taken. But we still got seated at our booking time of 9pm !

Excellent friendly unhurried service with a full range of a la carte and specials menus, including kids. Recommended. Plenty of space inside for large groups. Limited parking.

Despite trying other Indian restaurants in Warrington, Anmol is my ‘go to’ Indian. I have been a customer for a number of years and on each visit I’ve never been disappointed. The staff are very professional and have excellent customer service skills. I am on first name terms with most of the waiting on staff, you enter as a customer and leave as a friend. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone here. There is something for everyone on the menu and your dish is cooked to perfection, just how you like it using carefully sourced ingredients. The tandoori lamb chops are to die for!. To Raj and all the staff, keep up the good work. I’ve no hesitation in recommending Anmol to anyone.

We have and continue to eat at this excellent restaurant drawn by the quality of the food and service, made even better by the reasonableness of the cost.

Having booked a table we waited 30 mins to be served. Poppadoms eventually arrived but after an hour no sign of our starters but our mains arrived!! In the meantime lots of takeaways had been served. Despite being offered everything for free we left.

Last minute decide to go out for tea this was recommended to me and what a gem had a great meal lovely decor friendly staff will be returning here.

Went for a family meal to Anmol today and the food and service was exceptional. We usually eat out in Manchester when we want an Indian but did not fancy the traffic jam on m62 and hence found this little gem!

Had a meal for two. The service and food was faultless. Plenty of meat and taste in the food. Real quality most definitely recommend this small restaurant for penketh and the surrounding areas it is a must try.

Absolute cracking meal, chicken and mushroom curry cooked to perfection. Great service and all our meals were tasty. The good thing here is you never feel rushed and food is great.

We always buy our take outs from here , the food is lovely , and on fathers day we had a great meal with the family . The food is always cooked to perfection and it makes such a difference when your greeted with a smile and all staff make us feel cared for .we enjoyed our meal and will always return , thank you to everybody for looking after Big Dave .you made his day very special .

Visited tonight with my daughter. We arrived before 7pm got the early offer, which you had to order before 7pm. We weren't given the option of the early offer had to request it from the waiter. Food was good, drinks lukewarm and service slow. Had to wait 20 mins for our coffee. Wasn't busy staff just not interested. Was very disappointed.

Attended the Anmol for a friends birthday, I had the Ayre Fish and Lamb Bhuna and both were delicious, not overly spicey but it let you know it was there, service was impeccable and a reasonable price for the excellent standard of food.

We visit here quite regularly with it being our 'local'. I suffer a severe peanut allergy - and this is the only Indian restaurant i trust. They are always extremely accommodating and there is still a range of foods i love and can have from there allergy menu.

Regular visitor to the Anmol so now on first name terms with the waiters. It is everything you want from a local Indian restaurant. Great reasonably priced food, friendly informal service and they cater for my son who is vegan with a decent choice of meals - mushroom Saag is cracking.

We decided to try the anmol after a friend recommended it to us we have been to a lot of Indian restaurants over the years, but after our visit here we will be back and we can’t wait. The food was cooked to perfection and the taste beautiful. Also the waiting on staff deserve a mention as they look after you. Well done to all and we will see you for another visit soon.

My friend and I just had a New Years Eve set menu for £19.95 at this restaurant and it was super. Can't complain about anything. The food was excellent. Happy New Year to all the staff and thank you.

The food in here has been Great, we have been three times in the last couple of months and it has been great every time we have been. They can make any curry into a veggie option, which are always super tasty! And the prices are really reasonable too.

Went to Patelvis night, absolutely brilliant boy he can sing!!! The set banquette menu was excellent, service was superb great great night....get it booked if you see it!!!!

Been here countless times. Staff, food, atmosphere second to none. Classic balti house, brill food, midweek menu is amazing value for money.

My wife booked a table for three for her birthday, before they went I told my so that they do a five course meal for £10.95 which is served between 5pm to 7pm. They arrived at 18:30, ordered at 18:45 and ordered three specials but we're told they couldn't have that, my son said we had a menu at home which said we could but the waiter was insistent that we couldn't, so they had to spend £55 for 3 meals instead of the £22.97 which they expected. When they got home and told me I asked my wife to ring them and when she explained what had happened she was told to come back another day and it would be sorted. She went back tonight and was told she should have reported it on the night??? Then she was told you are getting nothing. BE WARNED

Call me old fashioned but if you have to wait an hour for a main course, which we did, then all is not well. Whilst the food was acceptable, the place was understaffed and overrun. I was particularly irritated to see any number of people walking in and ordering/collecting takeaways which were speedily delivered. I guess that the captive audience at the tables were a somewhat lower priority. Even the bill took an age to arrive. Didn't rock my boat.

The food and service were great, as always.A new £10 offer made it a really good value. I would really recommend the lamb chops and the desi stir fry.

We have been visiting Anmol for a number of years. You are always welcomed warmly. They do remember you. There is a huge choice on the menu and some fab speciality dishes , as well as all the favourites. The flavours in the food are exceptional. The service is first rate. It is always a pleasurable experience to visit Anmol and the guys deserve a huge pat on the back.

We are new to Warrington and although we had plenty of great Indian restaurants to chose from in Yorkshire that we had visited on recommendations from friends we did not have that luxury in Warrington. However we were not disappointed with our first visit to Anmol's our new local, excellent food and service and well priced, we'll definitely be making a return visit.

Called in on off chance of a table....with very little wait a table was offered....service was very good and friendly...meal was beautiful and just as i requested....

My wife and I went to Anmol for a theme night with a set menu, Patelvis was on, the food and the entertainment was really good. The staff gave as much time between courses which is very unusual as this type of restaurant normally want you in and out "NEXT". I would definitely go back for a theme night it was excellent value for money! I also notice that they did takeaway which we did on New Year's Eve, again a decent meal at a decent price.

Ordered a takeaway from here last night. Although the staff was very pleasant, the food wasn't! The papadum I had to start with had all black bits in the middle of it that didn't look right? So didn't have most of this? The starter which was the desi grilled chicken was awful and very disappointing! I had 2 very small pieces of chicken and the rest was packed with peppers and onions! Not enjoyable at all! The main which was a form of chicken tikka dish was again packed with veg and very little chicken tikka in it! And didn't taste all that well! All in all very disappointed and paid £22 for a meal that wasn't all that good! (Tiny bit of papadum, 2 tiny chicken pieces and a small amount of a tikka dish) bit of a rip off really! Sorry but won't be going back here!!

Lost for words! An affront to, me, and my nine guest.To be kind the ' Christmas dinner' was not a 'Christmas dinner'Having previously, dined, at the Anmol, many times. No complaints!! Just the opposite! Starters, main, etc. Disapointed, and annoyed that me, and my guest were ripped off, good style!! Merry Christmas

Came here with 6 other family members - staff are lovely and attentive - food is always amazing and prices are pretty good too... can't recommend this place enough

As an early start to our Christmas celebrations we thought we were lucky to get a table at our usual Indian of choice at such short notice . Our evening had started well with a cinema visit , when we arrived the restaurant was surprisingly empty . Not quiet however , quite a rowdy works party of around 6 people opposite , but hey it's Dec 23 and to be expected . We were seated next to what looked like a group of friends, two couples with their daughters . The children were possibly aged between 8-10 and the " parents " in particular one of the "mothers" were not capable if looking after these children . Their language was shocking and the noise from them was very disruptive . I believe a quiet word from the restaurant staff was needed . They also could ve put us elsewhere instead if putting everyone together to make their job easier , the service was slow , they forgot my husbands sauce he ordered for with his byriani . They didn't bring our naan out with the meal but just after . The food was below its usual standard . The service was slow . All in all I doubt we ll return .

I love this place! Every time I go in it's always a really friendly environment, it's the only curry place we go to in Warrington. Staff are lovely, very quick service and the food is always wonderful! I always get the butter chicken as its my favourite. I had it in India and this one exceeds what I had there. Recommend this place to anyone!

We ordered a take away for 5 of us. The food was above average and whilst the majority of dishes were OK there was one dish in particular which was not. The chicken tikka markani was very sweet and unpalatable. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

Food at Anmol is good if not extraordinary.Biggest plus is the staff who manage the crowd during weekends with a smile. Their Naan and curry are good.Weekdays is not that crowded.Suggest to visit on weekdays for peaceful lunch/dinner

It was very good, fresh vegetables and spices. As a family we had a chicken karahi, a veg and a chicken pathia and chicken dopiaza, all exceptional. As I said in the title we've struggled recently to find a decent curry. Have never been here before but will DEFINITELY be back, beautiful food with carefully created flavours

We live quite near by so it's really handy, food is always exceptional, service fantastic and they will always recommend alternatives to your usual if you want to be a little more adventurous. Staff are very friendly and we try to get there at least once a month. Our favourite Indian restaurant by far !!!

This was one of the best Indians I have had. Food was so tasty and full of flavour. Service was friendly and there was just enough time between starter and main to feel less stuffed but not too long. Mid price range but worth a visit will be our regular now :)

Visited here on a Thursday night with a friend. Food tasty and service good. Portion size just right. Drinks a little pricey but no more so than a lot of other similar places. Restaurant is much nicer inside than it looks externally. After eating here went week later to get a takeaway and this was equally as good. I would have no hesitation in returning.

Well worth a visit for really tasty Indian food. All the usual items on the menu but trust the chef's specials and try something different.
