The best food in Andover. Fresh and delicious, with SUPER generous portions for a very, very reasonable price. I've been here so many times over the years and it's consistently excellent.

This was for a pre-graduation dinner for the family, and having never had a taster menu we didn't really know what to expect. It was delicious, so many taster dishes, which didn't seem a lot at the time, but were so filling and made a great talking point. I would recommend this every time. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and made our evening most enjoyable. I was sorry to learn they are closing shortly, hopefully not permanently!

Had cappuccino offee and a cake. Coffee was poor (bitter, small), cake was ok. Had to go up to collect cake after coffees had been brought to table without. Cost moderate but not a lot less than much better nearby. Hopefully was off day, but they will have to up their game to attract me in again.

This has to be without doubt the most awful place Iâve been in a long time. Firstly, I could not get past the disgusting smell of dusty, dirty carpets and soft furnishings! It was vile and completely overpowering! The whole place stank!! The amuse bouches were hideous. A cucumber sandwich (seriously?), a tartlet which contained something unfathomable and a vol au vent which looked as though it had been sitting out in the warm all afternoon! I think it contained mushrooms but I really couldnât be sure. The lobster starter was not good. The lobster was chewy and the salad leaves covered in salt. My husbandâs scallops tasted fishyâŠâŠnever a good sign! His scallops also came with a vegetable spring roll which he said was completely tasteless! I had the lemon sole for main. The accompanying crab had a strange twang, I couldnât eat it. The fish was ok, the green beans and celeriac were the best thing on plate. My husband said his steak tasted of liver and so was unable to finish it. I thought it unusual that the waitress wanted us to choose our desserts when we ordered our starters and mains. Very odd, and Iâm pleased I declined to do so as after the poor first two courses, I really didnât want to prolong the agony. I could have done with a coffee but I had no confidence that it would be drinkable so decided not to risk it. We wonât be back!

Great service. Nice busy atmosphere. I havenât had a cassoulet since a very good one in Covent Garden at Chez Antoinette many years ago. Most disappointed with what I had today and certainly at the premium price of ÂŁ20 for a small portion. My partner had the sausages from the Prixe menu. Better value and taste.
