I visited Côte three times in mid-March (two lunches and one dinner!). Luckily the menu is varied enough that I managed to sample different dishes... The staff were great every time, and the food was delicious. There's always a great ambience in there, and if you squint hard enough, you could almost transport yourself into a 'real' French bistro.

Visiting for a birthday meal with family. The food was very disappointing. All six of our meals were unimpressive looking and tasting and such small portion sizes, not even providing a decent portion of chips. We had to wait a while, even though it was 4pm and not busy, so we were hungry and ate everything on our plates. What happened to a bread roll on the side. I chose this restaurant as I have been a couple of times and liked the food and atmosphere but it was a mistake and we felt let down by the portion size and cost.

I visited this establishment on my birthday with three of my family members. We all had a really lovely time, the food was excellent as was the service from the staff working at that time. I took a note of the name of our waitress but sadly lost the paper it was written on. I do remember it began with a B & she had dark hair. She was very attentive throughout our visit.

Disappointing Easter Sunday visit for brunch. First choice from menu not available so smashed avocado was chosen. Avocado was unripe cubes on cold sourdough with undercooked poached eggs. Hot drinks were lukewarm warm and the restaurant only had a couple of tables besides us so no excuse for bad service from the kitchen. Won’t be returning which is a shame as it used to be a lovely venue for brunch .

The restaurant has weird decor but we were warmly welcomed and the place has a nice ambiance It was recommended on trip advisor and we weren’t disappointed We had a baked Camembert shared starter which was excellent I had the Spaghetti Bolognaise which was a massive portion and tasted lovely My wife had tagliatelle with salmon, which she thoroughly enjoyed even though she couldn’t eat it all. We were too full for a desert but saw others thoroughly enjoy theirs. The coffee was excellent The bill was presented and represented excellent value for money I would highly recommend you ignore the first impression and enjoy a great meal

The service was very bad. We had to get up from our table to place our orders. Not being very hungry, I only ordered a side: the tomato salad (according to the menu with basil and shallots) was awful. Not only were the tomatoes absolutely tasteless, they were cold (tomatoes are never put in a fridge) and they were served without shallots. Still hungry, I ordered (by going up to the bar to do so) a starter, bread with an almond romesco dip. I had to wait for about 20 minutes to be served with tasteless stale bread. I was not enamoured by the dip, but that may be because it was not to my taste, so please try for yourself.

Out on a rare family treat and was so disappointed, my food was tepid at best, chicken was so dry my mouth was like it was full of glue as my jaw struggled to part after every bite, very little sauce to accompany the biriani rice, not once did anyone approach the table to see if everything was okay, if they had, I would of given them the opportunity to rectify the issues. I had to request for my meal to be removed from the bill ( which they did promptly) but no received no apology. In fact, I felt at that point unwelcome. The rest of our table did enjoy their food and this review would not of been left if they had delt with the problems in a professional manner

This used to be my favourite restaurant in Gillingham but wow it has certainly gone downhill. The food was awful a lot of it was cold and it was tasteless. There were 5 of us we ordered one sharing platter between us which we mostly left as it wasn't nice. We ordered the duck and just returned the whole thing. We only ordered 4 mains between us and ate hardly any of it, the chicken was dry and had an odd taste, the steak in the weeping tiger was like shoe leather. The bill came to 93.00 and their card machine didn't work so had to go to cash point. We will not be returning .

This relates to the deli.. lovely atmosphere some great products on sale but the meat was heavily over priced and not too fresh... I would recommend visiting a local farm shop over this but the macaroons are delicious and service friendly and good.

We come here at least a couple of times each week. Favourites are the bread, sausage rolls, smoked salmon and scrambled egg croissants, and the ham and cheese baguettes, but everything is great. It's a really great place.

What a shame the current owners have run this lovely French deli into the ground. The stock is minimal and most of it isn't French. Used to be a wonderful place, but sadly it is no longer. It looks uncared for and unloved. I won't be coming back.
